I've had loads of casinos take money but as soon as you withdraw they want everything. I was even asked for my tax returns at one point. I told them close the account not worth it at all.
What baffles me is as things should be getting more regulatory the bookies seem to be in such a strong position of power. Its honestly turned me off betting altogether.

I have worked for Pinnacle Sports as a software engineer for ten years and we don't do any of this shady shit. We don't ban winning players. We don't hold someone responsible for past the post betting and we usually have the lowest vig on most lines.
I quite believe it, just a shame not all parts of the world can access it.

I loved pinnacle, i live in sweden and the transfers were completed no issues no issues with service either, the only issue i had was the extremly low odds but its still a win, 500usd withdrawal never an issue so pinnacle is top notch in the market.
Under GC Rules, KYC/AML checks are meant to be done at the earliest possible time & must not be enforced to stall withdrawals. For those facing ridiculous documents, don't provide these documents for security reasons and wait the requisite period. They may close your account BUT they must pay out the winnings.
Yes, but who enforces such rules? the GC certainly don't. IBAS settle with the companies when they do the total opposite. It's a real mess regarding the regulator. That last line is true but a lot of the companies will tell you that's not true, its just people roll over and let it happen.

These companies just want to make money for themselves, and as soon as their customers make money, they start to maliciously make things difficult for them.
It’s not really malicious, it’s just business.
Companies key objective is always to make money so nothing new there although the document stuff and double standards are just plain wrong IMO.

But with betting companies they work on the premise that you can actually win money from them. How the authorities let them get away with it is beyond me. I put £50 in a FOBT in Coral and won £500. When I cashed out, the staff member asked how much I put in to get the £500 Jackpot. It’s as if the bookies don’t want to pay out 🤷♂️

I was asked how much I put in just last week when there was a malfunction with a fruitie at admiral arcades (the reel lined up 3 x 7s but nothing came out and staff witnessed it). I had put in 20p and won £3 lol but the manager did give me the money in the end as a "gesture of goodwill" as she put it, what a joke! I left straight after.

Great work Caan! it appears in your first example the bookie screwed up and did not adjust the odds accordingly in that case they should just pay up and take it on the chin. A similar thing happened to me years ago when I backed a football club to finish top 6 and later in the season, it was impossible for them to do so a cash out was still being offered which I duly did. Again a mistake and I have always made mistakes by for example betting over 2.5 goals instead of a home win and have lost money.
Amazing how it's a problem in one direction only (when they profit).

Paddy Power recently marked my Beat the Drop as a loser when the team actually won had it been the last question or a few questions from winning i'd have been even more annoyed than I was and that was just a free game.
I won a 5 grand bet with Coral and they refused to send me the money because i couldn't provide all the statements they wanted

Went into thepaddy powers to place a bet on a horse as I handed in the slip the race then took off, I asked if I got in on in time and was told I did, so I’m assuming my bet is on, come back 30 mins later to collect because the horse won…
Was told I didn’t get it on in time, I was annoyed but accepted the decision and got my stake back.
What bothers me is if I thought I got it on and the horse lost I would not think of getting my stake back because I didn’t know it actually didn’t go through 😡
You're in a lose lose situation... If the horse wins they don't pay you out.... If the horse loses they keep the money themselves and of course don't tell you..... Happens all the time in coral, chap had 50 pence each way on a 40-1 winner... Sorry you bet wasn't on in time... That was two days ago..

I recently placed a bet on a betting terminal in bet Fred. The race was a 2mile 4 chace . When I went to collect, they said the bet was cancelled 14 mins after race had finished. Due to bet being 2 seconds late. I got my stake back. Why did terminal take bet? If my horse was beat? Would they tell me it was a late bet?
With the Sky one, it’s simply plain bullying. If anyone is quite handy with law that would be fairly easy to deal with (if not time consuming.) Like the TV licence just take it to them and give it back.

I had this happen enough times in 2023, most often a 'war of attrition', making life hard and giving the run-around for months after withdrawal requests.

Good stuff. I've had accounts closed for winning 365, sky and more. Paddy power were more subtle and I'd go to place a £20 bet and be told "maximum stake is 18p"😂 Virgin limit you as well pretty quickly.
And yet they supposedly make billions .. something tells me these billions branded about are .. fibbing.
i play on my mum's card so i don't blow my wad. i went to spin £10 yesterday, £5 deep and it said you're global loss limit has been reached. I contacted the chat to see what it meant and they asked for my father's name, i stupidly didn't know if they meant mine or mum's and was tired. So i wrote "you are insane" and clicked off it. Went to log in half hour later and my entire account has been suspended, for simply writing that. won £50 off the £2 free bet builder today, so obviously want to withdraw that instead of just ditching it. Online gambling is just an absolute piss take.
I work for a bookmaker who’s not mentioned in your video. Give you a clue, privately owned Salford company. I have to say they are always excellent for customer service and the last thing the company wants to do is alienate its punters. The new laws on betting and affordability have caused quite some issues for us and especially for me ethically, as I am a bachelor of social welfare and know the effects of gambling addiction and the horror it can bring. But yeh most of them are just after your hard earned money to put in their own pockets. Ethically challenging

I would say that's asking for trouble even though these company's are worth billions they hate paying out big returns.
If you're attempting to arb they'll all shut you down. Only chance would be 365 as their prices are sometimes out of sync. But you won't last long. If you're arbing on the exchange their bot will pick this up and start placing bets in front of your arbs in an attempt to move the market away from them.
Is it safe to use non Gamstop bookmakers, like Freshbet?

Fortunately, I have been banned from Sky Bet, Paddy Power, Betfair, Unibet etc, so I didn't have to close these accounts. 😂
So basically if your account is in profit at a bookmaker you are taking an unreasonable risk doing any further business with them. And that’s assuming you are able to access the profits anyway because I reality you aren’t in profit until you have withdrawn.
So who should people use then?

Even the newer model SSBT terminals in William Hills now have face cameras in them. No doubt they have facial recognition software linked to you and your Plus card
I'm banned from coral and Ladbrokes I know they have facial recognition because within hours of me going in and going back the staff say security been on the phone 😂

Pretty accurate list for the high street too. Was a runner for a sharp crew for a few years post lockdown until recently. Hills monitor all the machines in every shop and circulate your likeness to all near shops once u get caught beating their odds. Lads/coral pretty sharp too and have very small PTL. Paddy love to SP you. Betfred only one that take a reasonable bet and arent super on the ball stomping on sharpies.

@@Shaunlunn81100% there are bookmakers worth close to a billion turnover. Every sport in the planet is rigged , and the bookmakers know this. And they are ahead of all Sports televised. I had a good bet once on a Irish Open Golf winner some years back and I was at the event. He was 18/1 and holed a 50ft putt to force a playoff . He won the playoff . I was probably a split second ahead of the bookies and won 400 bucks. Even 365 have commentary on their games , and the commentary is 30-50 seconds behind the live happenings. Meaning they are watching the games on TV . And the bookies are at the live events.

It'll never happen but bookies should do their due diligence / know your customer / affordability checks before you're allowed to deposit. They're happy to take your money but throw out the affordability and money laundering rules when it comes to a payout. Won't stop them from non-paying winnings due to 'technical faults' or mistakes though. The T&C's cover their arses.

Do you think they will always get away with this? Needs to be some kind of class action against there companies or investigations. The only fraud and theft thats occuring is via them robbing customers. Surely one day, just like the post office scandal it will all come to light and serious investigations launched, or Is that just wishful thinking?
Doesn't the gambling commission website say companies aren't allowed to refuse withdrawals by demanding bank statements etc? How do they get away with it? Where can punters go to get their money out after these demands are made if they don't wish to provide these documents?

I'm exactly the same with a promising anti post bet with a high street bookmaker. I've been doing a lot of bets with them with my card getting paid back on my card in the hope if it wins they see I do a lot of transactions and just pay me out. You should not have to worry about getting paid anywhere online or shop if they take the bet in the first place.

next time that happens request to know where they got that information from. if they refuse tell them you want any info they have on you via an SAR (subject access request) then by law they have to release all information they have on you which would include that should of thing. i think if more and more people did this people would fine out just how shady and potentionally unlawful these companies are and things would change since thats the exact way nigel farrage caught coots shutting him down simply due to political views.
different case i know but its a similar situation as i suspect like you said they most likely used face id which again has its own set of privacy laws that i very much doubt they are following. the reason they get away with it is beccause people dont know what they can do as a response.
They’ll have a “name/nickname on the computer” they have to manually mark it as your slip before or after you did the bet then the computer tells them your win losss so on
One woman came to me as well telling me to take my hat off because I have won 40 pounds from tennis game.... complete idiots, may be they have such cameras. In paddy power I feel monitored because one time I put 40 pounds in a race. They treat me like a criminal. I have seen in this shops people on benefits playing with their debit cards, spending all their money this is not a problem for them

That might be a bit of a push... if you're in the UK a large part of the problem right now is the Gambling Commission and Govt allowing and almost encouraging some of these tactics. Exchanges and sharp betting brands/brokers are the way forward, but there's restrictions on accessing them depending on where you are. Its a real mess since they started allowing the bookies to ask for bank statements to be honest.

I had a williamhill get to £22k profit and they paid out immediately, although no single bet won more than £250. Is it more of an issue if single bets win lots of money perhaps?

They are the worst ATM. They aren't a true exchange and will restrict/ban and then refuse to pay without documents. Then more documents, until it's impossible to provide them and Smarkets keep the money. Criminal.

Because they're one of the only providers that don't ban winners etc etc. So by your logic you only talk about something if they're being paid for. Doesn't really match up with 70% of RUclips does it. I feel your frustration with UK sportsbooks and their behaviour (thus the video). Pinnacle is another sharp sportsbook, you can use many of these platforms if you're in the right place etc. Just look at Tony Bloom...

I would recommend Pinnacle sports. We have been around for 25 years. We don't ban winning players. We have high limits. And we usually have the best odds.

I’ve had 6 online bookies, for over 3/4 years now, haven’t yet had problems (so far anyway)🤞🏽… have won over 11k, not much, but it’s a steady return:horses onlyshould have been more, but am afraid of being restricted.. was going to do a 50/1.. at £200 each way, but I backed out, it won at 22/1.. I put a much smaller bet, got back over £1400, should have done it at 50/1.. would have won £12000… wonder if they would have paid out… I’m not scared of losing runs.. Funny enough a lad mentioned sky bet to me the other day ,and he said they fkd him about rotten ,for months before eventually paying him out after some solicitors letters .
I've had a decent few months at sky, where I kept cashing out x10 the deposit, and the account was in profit for the year, now I can only deposit £100 max.

I never had any problems gambling with Paddy Power online. They take big bets and pay out without any hassle. The worst 3 I've dealt with are Ladbrokes, Victor Chandler, and Coral. Ladbrokes frauded me out of 5k about 7 years ago, and I've never dealt with them online again. I'd still place bets in their shops if there were no other bookies within walking distance. Victor Chandler or Coral never robbed me. Chandlers just limit bets to try to control your stakes which can be frustrating. Coral has a rubbish website. I missed horses because it was showing me horses for the wrong day and wouldn't update itself. My advice. Bet in the shop if you can.

Definitely mate. Better odds (mainly horse racing) and you can lay also. Only downside is obviously you can’t do multiples. They do take commission from your winnings, however you can set this to the lowest rate & not avail of betfair’s rewards

Liquidity is lower than some other exchanges but its a best option for some. It depends where you are in the world and what exactly you're after.

It's a big problem for a lot of people now. Amazing how many of such companies are interested in doing the checks after you have won some money off them (but not before). I haven't heard of any losers that got checked after and their money given back.
I only really have a bet and you're talking small ie £1 here, £2 there and only really at Cheltenham and so I just seen only 5 races at Chelt are antepost no run, no bet which I think is terrible (bet365). And of the 5 races, 3 of the 5 are so short the favourites and really all 3 ought to win, well 2 anyway but the money they'll all earn off the Cheltenham Festival I think all races should be no race, no bet on antepost.
The third party funding rule in unibet is there because of KYC no? if you can't afford to make the bets because somebody is funding your bets, then you offer them bets via marketing that wouldnt be sustainable for them is wrong no?9
Also, if someone is funding your bets, THEY could be using you to launder money.

I have seen deleted winning bets in the first bookie, the profit for the month plus the deposit is 180, the balance is 90 without any withdrawal .And we told them exactly which bets are missing from the statement....guess what happend - the account was immediately suspended. Basically they stole the stakes and the profit from the winning bets. The bets were settled, the odds were normal. And you can't do anything, there's no laws, the big companies are doing whatever they want

I do spread bets on horses so every few months ci get banned or put on a budget from online companies. Only paddy power haven't blocked me as yet. Had a great week last week and today's winning was treble my bet.
