Maybe just put a clear coat on your neighbors side and that will protect your wood and give him what he wants! Win Win for all. Beautiful addition to your side yard.
Love the wider flower bed It’s going to look really nice . Can’t wait to see the door and staircase done. I’m sure it will all look amazing. Have a blessed day/night❤
Hi Daphne love the privacy screen addition maybe you should have painted the inside of the wood that would peek through on your side and leave the side that’s exposed on his side natural..can’t wait to see the transition from the grass to the artificial turf
Hello Nikola, thank you so much. The way I spaced my neighbors side you can’t see any of the natural on my side so I am ok with that. I’m leaning towards keeping it natural since he would prefer it. I can’t wait to get everything finished in the front yard. We have come so far this year. I can’t believe it. 👊🏾
Hi Daphne! I love the curves you created and I have been wanting to try the winter creeper euonymous variety. The privacy screen depends on the look you are going for. I think all black would look modern and keeping the natural wood would give a farmhouse look. Both look nice though!
Hi Daphne, I was thinking you could stain the neighbor side. I love the no-dig bed extension and your garden is beautiful! I love how you outlined the plants. Beautiful!
Hi Daphne I think you should do the painting on the side fence to give a neat look at the neighbour's side bringing the both sides together thanks for sharing your amazing video.
Hi Daphne, I personally like color of stain you chose, however, if your neighbour prefers natural wood, just leave it as is. Honestly it looks like intentionally done - 2 toned. 😍
Enjoyed the video. The extended flower bed will be nice with added plants and spring bulbs (giggles). If the neighbors are cool people, I would let them enjoy the (raw wood) privacy wall, and who knows, you might inspire them. I think that's the goal😊
Hey Daphne! I really like the natural wood behind the dark gray color. Friend, already know I’m ready for the fall to start my outdoor projects 😂. You sent the cool but unfortunately we’re getting a lot of rain (4 days). Everything looks so nice. 🧡
Hello Daphne, I am loving the changes you are making in your front yard and once your plants and floors are in full bloom it will look absolutely beautiful. I’m looking forward to seeing what you will do next. ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏾🙏🏾‼️💐🌺🌼‼️

Hey Daphne, I would have just finished it with the same colour, but since it's facing the neighbours home and you asked for their input; just finished it with a clear stain. It's been feeling like Autumn here from Spring ended. Lol. But I love the cool weather. It has already started snowing in the mountains.
@@daphnesoutdoorliving6146 ikr, the weather this year has definitely been interesting. Thanks girly, wishing you and your family a great week as well. ☺️💕
Hi Daphane, i love your energy and decorations, but just my opinion, but I wish you would remove those cedars? That flags each side of your front porch. They don't give your porch that extra wow. Maybe 2 nice large Urns with seasonal flowers would give the big wow, but again, it's just my opinion
Hello Nina, thank you so much. I value your opinion but I’m going to complete all my updates then make my final decision because removing those trees will not be very easy. Have a blessed week ahead
MRS. D. YOU INSPIRE ME TO CLEAN UP THE BUSHES OF MY FRONT YARD, THE PROBLEM HERE IN TEXAS IS THE WEED, BECAUSE IT WAS SO HOT I COULDENT GO OUT TO CLEAN UP AS I COULD, BUT WEATHER IS CHANGING NOW AND I AM READDY TO FOLLOW YOUR JOB !!! THANK YOU.
Hello Carmen, how are you doing? I’m so happy it had cooled down. I know, weeds can get out of control. I have the same problem in my backyard not so much in the front. I need to add more mulch in the back. Happy gardening
Some people think the ivy looks pretty when it grows on the home. I have seen ivy grow on windows until the windows can no longer be opened. It additionally creates a ladder for birds, bugs, mice and snakes to climb and enter the home.
Since your neighbor is the one who will see this side I would leave it natural: maybe just a clear coat sealer. Good fences make good neighbors 😊 I have irises to move this month so they can establish their roots before winter. I am in Missouri, Zone 5.
Hello Diana, welcome. It is so nice to meet you. Thank you for subscribing. I’m happy you introduced yourself. 👊🏾 where in NY, im in Westchester county. How do you like it in VA? Big change, right?
I vote to put the stain on it. This fall, I have to plant the rest of my clearance 🪴. I bought several hydrangeas on clearance today. And I have some nandinas and a yew to put in the ground. I'm also going to put up this Afrocentric shower curtain from Amazon on the side of my shed. I'm trying to bring some life to my backyard!!😂
Hey Daphne, head over to Sam's. They have free cardboard that they use as dividers between their merchandise. It's heavy and awesome, and it's free. I see you've already put the paper bags down, but maybe save them for another project.
If you can't see it and it's immaterial to you, consider staining it with something like Thompson's water seal to protect it and leave the color as natural as possible. Bank some good will between you and the neighbor.
I would stain the other side to make it uniform. As for the area you are re-doing, I would remove those little white spiky looking plant they add no pop to your front area. Also I notice that you don't shape your shrubs or trees, you pruned them but you don't shape them. This is just my observation and what I would do. Maybe that's the way you like it. Just saying. 😊
That's going to look so good with the hydrangea and mum's ❤.

You'll want to dig those stumps out. Otherwise you'll end up with more trees growing along your fence line and eventually over taking your new fence
