I think the iPad Air 2019 is hence the best middle ground between the iPad Pro and the basic iPad - it has a laminated display, a bigger and vibrant display, but doesn't cost an arm or a leg like the iPad Pro.

Kandi Klover You are 100% as to both items. I think the design is inelegant, but it does work. I’ve never had an issue with charging or losing the cap, but I would have much rather the pencil came apart at the center and one half charged, just to keep it from sticking out so far (assuming that the current solution of using a magnet and induction charger was not available). That said, now its just part of the quirks and features of the first generation pencil.
@@malfaro3l induction chargers aren't a new thing, (buses were being charged with this tech in the 80s). Manas Pradhan I think you are right about that. I wish that the edges of the non-pro iPads were squared off, which would give you a better edge to charge the pencil, but I don’t think that is a dream that will ever come true. The good news is that the non-pro iPads are still pretty affordable and there are worse trade offs than inelegant charging.
I have a 15” Macbook Pro that does all my heavy lifting so I opted for the ipad 10.2 and don’t regret it. Of course it does not have all the bells and whistles but it is very good and versatile. I almost got the Air but I just didn’t want to spend that much. Maybe if it had inherited the no bezels. There’s always next generation. Maybe it will be the Ipad Air XR.
Why not the mini? It's barely more expensive and it also adds 32 gbs of extra storage. It has everything else the air has.

I use the 7 gen, got it like you on Black Friday and never it has slowed down or fail, it replaced my laptop completely, awesome device and can’t beat the price, if you don’t need the pro power this will get the work done very well indeed.
I truly appreciate this video. I just purchased the iPad 7th generation this morning and was curious between this model and the Pro. I needed something that got straight to the point with facts and the necessary differences. Thank you so much for this video.

You might want to wait around until March whenever the new iPads come out! I’m hoping the new iPad Air will support the 2nd Gen Apple Pencil. This is a very comprehensive video. Thanks! I was thinking of buying the 7th gen 10.2 so I can use it for my classes but I was worried that it wouldn't keep up compared to a laptop/mac. I just wanted to have something really portable and convenient
iPads are great; I love my iPad Pro, just do NOT buy the 32 GB model, as iPadOS takes up about 12 - 15 GB of storage just for the OS and built-in applications, and 16 GB is way too little storage for most people.
I don't think the 7th gen is the best, I think the mini are the best, the air is a replacement for the Pro that can do many of the things it can do, and the mini is just a portable air without a smart connector (which isn't to bad since Bluetooth works as well) so a mini is more like a pro-mini and I say air as well since it's more powerful than the 7 but the 7 is cheaper but still has all of the same features, so I'd recommend taking a iPad mini, Smart Cover, Apple Pencil 1st gen and a Bluetooth keyboard which accomplishes the "pro replacement" of an air while keeping the "portability" of a mini Edit: when I say a portable air I just mean the air and mini are the same spec and power wise and the only other differences are just a smaller size and a lack of a smart connector.

This video was very informative. Even though it's nice to get the coolest and nicest gadgets, videos like yours remind me that I don't have to! Getting the iPad 7th gen, tysm!
So what I got from this, is if you're using the iPad the way you would expect the average student to, you don't really need all the extra bells and whistles that the Pro has. And it's half the price?
Tip! I know this is an old comment. The iPad 10.2” is amazing and the keyboard can be a set back. Logitech has some beautiful tactile keyboards that double as a case! They average at $40-100. They also make them for the iPad Pro! 10/10 better than the Apple keyboard
Got the 12.9 iPad Pro for my study as luckily I wasn’t paying (tbh not even sure why I’m watching this). But from seeing the iPad Pro compared to the iPad it actually looks really good for the price as well as the features, looks basically the same as my iPad. Although the new pencil is a lot nicer and the thinner bezels are definitely great.

this is hands down the most informative video I've seen on the topic, but I just can't help wondering - what are you studying? :) bc I study computer science engineering and I've found a lot of resemblances... :)
I really miss the old days with the iPad 2. They were so much more comfortable to hold with the curved back sides and firm grip you were able to have. Now these newer ones feel like you're pinching a piece of paper to hold them but it's heavier and feel more likely to fall out of your hand. Holding the iPad 2 was like having your hands on a fine piece of firm ass while the newer models feel like you're holding fucking paper that you constantly have to keep pinching with your fingers to hold.
I preffer the ipad air 3 instead of the ipad 7. Have a better cpu a12 this is the most important thing that let your ipad stand with you for the coming years better than a10! + screen and cam are better on the air. Air its a semi-pro ipad ,it’s only missed the pro-motion and 4 speakers, and cams.
there's a different way to charge the Apple pencil gen 1...in da box there is an adapter then just use ur normal charger then boom it can charge somewhere else
I hope they continue with the sharp edged, boxy design of the iPad pro and the new iPhones 12 for future devices. I like it so much more than the round edges!
I use the 6th gen 9.7 ipad to take note and use office, email,.... Nothing to complain. I dont think the pro has much more to offer in terms of the area I'm using it for.

this is hands down the most informative video I've seen on the topic, but I just can't help wondering - what are you studying? :) bc I study computer science engineering and I've found a lot of resemblances... :)
Superb comparison. Thank you.
this is the best iPad 7th gen video I have seen
Very informative video.
Thank you so much Paul :)
Thank you for this review! It really helps me in my decision making
I just bought my new iPad, I'm so excited for it
Good luck to the people who have a great time and have a great experience
Thanks so much for this review!! It’s everything
Oh and the ipad 7 does have stereo sound.
Retro Caleb But it doesn’t have quad speakers.
7:47 actually the 6th gen iPad already had Apple Pencil support
Hee Hee he said last years model which would of been 2018 so 6th gen version
You have my sub now bro, good work!
This is the most sincere video review ever!
Idc bout photo quality
till the time its capturing good memories its fine for me
Thank you. Helped me to decide which one to go for. :)
Nice video. Full of useful information.
This is very informative!
The First good and complete review and comparison between these iPad.
Thank you, because of your review I got one and , oh yeah it's really helpful especially with paperworks.
