The landscape-oriented camera makes it the ONLY viable iPad for me as I have many online meetings and I can't deal with the portrait mode camera any more.
I just bought one 2 days ago. I locked the screen in landscape mode. This iPad is the best one yet. Even my roommates 9th gen pro has the portrait mode camera and he paid out the ass for it
I think this review is not right, because I mean why does one need to buy an apple pencil?? we can just buy another pencil that works exactly the same, or why do we need to buy an apple keyboard?? we can just buy other keyboards that are cheaper than the apple one. tbh many students don't need a pencil or a keyboard because they just need an iPad for simple school activities like research which doesn't really need a keyboard, yes, I agree a pencil would be helpful, but a cheap alternative can be used as well which works equally well!! that's all I had to say, thanks for taking out your time to read it.
Actually, i think that in case you need the pencil, get the apple one, in case you need a keyboard, get an alt. The pencil is not cheap, but, the keyboard is quite expensive.

I am a student who absolutely does not need a Apple Pencil, i got a IPad and keyboard to use it as a “Computer” Persoonally if i want to take hand written notes i would just take notes with a pen and Bi-pass the IPad all together. I have had an Apple storage membership for years so this is not a concern of mine. Overall for this student this is an amazing IPad, I also help run a soccer league so i am constantly taking notes at our meetings and I have been having great lucky with the normal notes app. I like this IPad for what it can do and how portable it is. It’s gonna get this student through nursing school haha

Do you have a lot of photos? If yes, then it’s going to eat up the memory incredibly quick unless you save it all on iCloud instead of the physical iPad storage. If you have the money go for 256gb but if not, just handle your storage well.
Do you know why exactly apple decided to keep the iPad 9th and have it on the line with the 10th instead of discontinuing it like they would normally do with the other iPads?
i’m speculating but i thjnk the target for the ipad 9th gen is for the older generation who takes longer to adapt to new technology (i.e. the lack of a home button & headphone jack)

Android tab like samsung tab s9 plus (free spen stylus included) gives so much freedom and cheaper, most of the time free apps options. So much better for student imo
Same display, Liquid Retina etc for both IPads but I will say the air’ has a faster response time for opening apps and uploading/downloading because of the M1 chip. But at the end of the day. If you’re going to use it to watch movies, take notes, etc you can save money and get the iPad 10

It truly depends on what you will be using for and your budget of course. Personally, I think its always worth upgrading to a newer model - especially if you plan to use the iPad heavily for years to come or if you're not in a hurry you can wait until Apple release some of their latest iPad line in the coming months and you should expect to see a price drop in the 9th and 10th gen iPads. 🤔 Hope that helps 😊

I bought my pencil for $30 and until now I have ever seen the reason to upgrade to Apple Pencil, so for note taking any 3rd party pencil will do great

Getting a USB-C Adapter is easy but still not having the jack is annoying.
I use wired headphones. Earpods are to large for my ear and they fall off so, only wired headphone with small earpiece works for me 😂😂
