    Lyrics:
When will I see you again?
When will I see you again?
    Sweet sweet love of mine
(When will I see you again?)
    Come, come
(When will I see you again?)
    Tell me, yeah
(When will I see you again?)
    My sweet lover, yeah
(When will I see you again?)
    Ooh yeah
(When will I see you again?)
    Come on, come on
(When will I see you again?)
(When will I see you again?)
    Ooh yeah
(When will I see you again?)

Me and my Wife separated and I had to bring up our girls because she had an opioid addiction. She would call me up and play this song many times. The day she passed away I went into my job to let my Boss know and this song was playing on the store's radio station. That floored me. This song will forever be in my Heart ❤️

This song will always remind me of my Mom. Driving through the streets of Philly when I was a young boy back in the 70's. She has dementia now & doesn't know who I am. And that is a very hard pill to swallow. But this song reminds me of a time when my Mother loved me & she knew I was her son. Heartbreaking. But I find joy in the songs we sang together. Thank God for the little things that mean everything. ❤

It was late November, I was stationed with the US Army in cold Taegu, Korea; my wife and new born son were back in the states. We were blessed with AFN radio at our base, and in the evenings the radio jockeys would play song favorites. This was back at the end of the VN conflict, so a number of soldiers were newly stationed here alongside myself. This song would come on the radio, just before turning out the lights and hitting the rack, and the memories of home and wishing so much just to be back there in the arms of my wife and son. Hearing this again still tugs at my heart. This is among the top 10 songs of all time in my long life of 74 years.

My mom gave me a ride to the airport and it had already been a few years since I seen her so it was emotional for her and I that I was leaving and as we pulled up to the airport where she was dropping me off this song came on the radio and it made me sad realizing how perfect the song was for the moment I gave my mom a hug and told her I love her and I'll see her again soon. This was 1974.........my grandson died
In March......before he died I caught my
Grandma quietly crying on her back
    Porch....knowing his time was almost
Up...this song played on my way home
From their house. He died that evening
    Grandma was doing pretty good
They'd been married over 50 years.
This by the 3 degrees....has meaning
For me I watch a life that was
Ending. Yet a new life was starting
    Elsewhere.

This song was released in 1974. At the time I was a professional guitarist working with Baltimore based band Sunshine we just finished a six night gig in Rehobeth Beach Delaware. The other bands members headed back to Baltimore but I was currently living in Forest Hill Maryland outside of Bel Air. Like many other people I fell instantly in love with this song. As a musician I initially locked in on the beautiful production and rhythm section featuring a Fender Rhodes piano bass and drums then of course the melody and lyrics and of course beautiful vocals. That time and song were forever locked in my memory. We were currently playing a lot of soul music coming out of Philly.

This song makes me smile and brings me to tears at the same time. I worked with a girl in a nursing home and we developed a great friendship. She was going on vacation to see her brother in Hawaii and we said this was "our song" and she later became my sister in law and we had some great times. Hers and my brothers marriage ended and we sort of lost touch but one of my daughters got a message from her on Facebook and she said, "ask your mom if she remembers " when will.I see you again? So for a while we got to talk again some and we always sang this song. She passed in 2021 and today when I saw this I had to listen and the smiles and tears came pouring out. It's really amazing how a song can do that. I'm waiting to see my old friend in Heaven one day. Thanks for this song.

My older sister was in High School when this song came out and loved it. She was given this song as a going away gift on a 45 RPM record by one of her best friends as we were leaving that area to another town 7 hours away; so the line "When will I see you again" had obvious meaning between them. The friend died a few years later after her car left the road late one night so the song became very poignant as my sister longed to see her friend one more time. The girl was only 19 when she died. To this day my sister becomes very emotional when she hears it. Music today lacks the soulful, emotive sound of this song, IMO at least.

A few years ago, I had a job working in a cubicle, and the woman across from me had just given her 13 year old son an iphone. He rally wanted it, but she told me she gave it to him because, even though he'd be unaware, she could track him, see if he was cutting class, or just being where he said he'd be. I hear this song, and it takes me back to a time when there were no cellphones, barely even answering machine; when you were out and about, no one could reach you. If you went camping in the woods, you were truly gone for however long. If I went bike roding as a teen with my friends, we were on our own, living, learning, exploring the world. I love modern conveniences, but I hear this song, and Im transpirted to a different time and place, and wonder; for all the modern conveniences we've gained, how much have we lost along the way.

I'll tell you a true story. I met this English girl (from Liverpool, of course!) I was thunderstruck - love at first sight. Sadly, we were apart more than together. But through it all this was our love song.. because of are frequent separations.. We argued bitterly and constantly (in retrospect probably not good marriage material - and no I didn't! :) ) in any case when she left back for England for the first time she stopped off in San Diego and was in a cafe and heard this song and burst into tears. Yeah, I can't blame her.. She came back 18 months later and it was oh so much more disastrous. But I still have a really soft spot for this song and what it meant to me as a young person in love (with a slightly older woman - even better!) but UTTERLY unequipped to handle the severe heartache. Oh well.
