Nice playing Brent, I hope you and yours are all keeping well. Peace and love from Ireland mo chara x. If you are ever over this way then I would very much like to have a jam and a few pints. Edit, No I am not gay, lol.
You are one hell of a good musician! Especially on that Strat solo! If you ever got on America’s Got Talent or Britain’s Got Talent, you’d definitely steal the show!
DUDE! Your lead playing is so articulate! That guitar gave nothing to hide behind or blend in with, and I'm glad because the lead bits were so good. Fantastic!
I was on the fence about this guitar until I found this. Too many reviews just playing a few chords or a little repetitive riff. Your playing's sold me. Also: DAMN, you can play and sing. Guess I now have a third version of this classic to appreciate. It's like Dylan's original and Hendrix's cover had a kid 🤯🤘
I know this is an older video, but I’ve been wanting to get a smaller (parlor size or 3/4 size) cutaway acoustic to muddle around with when sitting on the couch, without having to take out my big dreadnought (a Yamaha A1M). Your demo, and amazing playing convinced me to order (a black) one. Thanks
I didn’t keep it. It was so weak sounding (as expected) acoustically. It’s really made for plugging in. Yes, easier to play, short scale, like my Les Paul, but the fingerboard and string spacing was too narrow for my large hands. I think a concert size would work better for a couch guitar, but still knowing that it wouldn’t have the bass and volume of my dreadnought. I have not purchased one though.
Is there something unique with the pickup in this guitar in that it is good for picking up those percussive drum hits on the body? I kinda like that ability!
Zoom was not my cup of tea - but it was an Adventure! And the sound here is pretty well. Great Gig yesterday, thinking of being "alone" in your studio it was a really great Gig!! Congrats.....
Well, I can say with delight you have a new fan here. Really like your voice and style. Playing isn't shabby either 😉. Thank you for sharing your talents and abilities.
First off, job well done on the music. Second, I see you changed the tuners. That's mandatory. Those crappy imitation Tone-Pros had to go so I put on a set of Grovers. I also replaced the nut, the saddle and bridge pins with Tusq. It made a noticeable improvement. I love mine.
I forgot to mention that you'll need to switch out the bushings that come on the guitar because the Grover posts won't fit inside the Yamaha bushings. You'll need to get a set of Kluson MB65N bushings. I did this myself but if I had to do it again, I would have a luthier do it. Hope that helps!
First edit from my live show on Zoom for British Online Blues Invasion To Russia. Please note the Sound and video was not taken from Zoom.

Just found you when looking for APXT2 reviews. Great player. This is like a Dire Straits version.
I noticed the sort of Dire Straights sound. Perhaps triad lead picking or whatever.

How do you like it acoustically? Much easier to play than a standard acoustic with the short scale?

What are good vintage style replacement tuners for this guitar?
Cant go wrong with Wilkinsons
First off, job well done on the music. Second, I see you changed the tuners. That's mandatory. Those crappy imitation Tone-Pros had to go so I put on a set of Grovers. I also replaced the nut, the saddle and bridge pins with Tusq. It made a noticeable improvement. I love mine.
Totally agree it's a great guitar just had to loose the tuners. I may change the nut and bridge too cheers!
what kind of tuners did u upgrade to?
@@Hhuhh-b6y I used Grover Sta-Tite tuners. They are affordable, they turn smoothly, and most importantly, they stay in tune.
@easter c You're welcome :-)

Any modifications to the Yamaha OR all original?
Tuners? Nut? Saddle?
i changed the tuners thats it

Sounds good through Roland Street Cube EX right? Great for busking then?

What gauge strings do you use that works best for leads and rhythm?
Hey Brent, impeccable playing there!
What gauge strings do you use for the APXT2?
Did u plug in the guitar?
FYI thanks for this video, it showed me how this guitar performs🎸
Yeah plugged in and thanks :)
Tremendous !,,, HTUCH FZUZUZ !!
That switch will change the world
Desde el punto de vista de la guitarra, muy bueno!,a la interpretación vocal le falto caracter y fuerza, como diría papo ,ablando la milanesa.
Hey, nice playing. I just gave you a sub because you...are you .. Jimi is a Legend. cheers
Thanks man!
Nice..help me man! : )
