One of the most underrated channels out there hands down!!! I hope you blow up dude, thank you for the free heavily-loaded info.
Love these videos man. high amounts of great knowledge. Please don't quit making them. 👍
Good stuff Matt, Doing a BTR Truck Norris cam, L86 intake manifold/TB, ZL1 TC, long tube headers, airaid MIT w/filter, Injectors, plugs/wires. Definitely a huge help as a novice behind HPtuners
Thanks Matt! I didn't know about the tune file changes being automatically saved...........I knew the datalog files were auto saved but not the tune files! 👍👊
I am glad to see that you are back, I really enjoyed this series and hope you keep them coming
You are such a wealth of information! Thankyou so much!
Have a pst 5” shaft in my crew cab 2wd truck and it has done great so far as you mentioned them. The few shafts I’ve had from them in different applications have all held up well
Great information. I appreciate you taking the time to teach us.
Excellent information in this video. Thank You
Holy crap that was a lot of information. thanks.
my truck used to struggle getting to temp and the PO installed a 160 or 180 thermostat. i replaced it with a 207 and no issue since
about the 20-minute Mark of the video did you see the -40 oil temp? still trying to learn but would that throw things off? Otherwise love the videos I think I've almost watched all of them
I have a question about adjusting the VVT tables when using a 4deg limiter. This is on a L83 with a Whipple supercharger and a stage 1 btr cam.
I'm curious about doing it two different ways and what the pros and cons are.
Way number one would be to zero out all of the tables and simply put in the cam card single line values (like you show). Which are basically just values that are above 5000 RPMs. Roughly one degree for every 200 RPMs above 5000 RPMs maxing out at 4deg@ 6,000 RPMs. And everything below 5,000 RPMs would be zeroed out (like you show)
The other way would be to use the OEM table and simply change any value above 4deg to 4deg and keep all of the other 1, 2, 3, and 4deg inputted values as they are. This would be in an effort to somewhat keep/take advantage of the low volume island of efficiency in the OEM tables.
Thoughts? Thanks
Thanks teach
Do you have any videos on tuning the 8.1 2500 trucks. Just bought HP tuners and really enjoying your videos. Hopefully they're gains to be had tuning this engine.
Seen you on Cleetus. Love your style!
What laptop should i buy for just starting out in tuning my own efi? I know NOTHING about them, but seen Cleetus used a Dell Rugged something something. Had a handle. I can't afford a new one, but I see a lot of refurbished ones on ebay that appear to be similar to what he used and what you may use? Thank you for any advice or help 😊❤
is it possible to use hp tuners to tune the vehicle and then use the edge cts3 tuner to just monitor everything or will it mess with the tune since you have a different tuner plugged in?
Is it possible to tune an ls engine to start instantly, like an old school carbureted race engine, instead of cranking through a couple of piston strokes?
Oddly my stock 2018 chevy 1500 does 112 on the dash. I bought it with 44,000 miles on it from the dealership.
I’m over here still wondering if the exhaust was hitting because of a bad driver side engine mount. I’m replacing one right now on a customer truck
Are you familiar with the Audi Platform? (Audi A4 B8 2.0T Quattro 2011)
I am batteling to get my boost up on higher RPM's. From 3 to 4k I can get it up to 1.5bar with a smile... but from 4k to 7k it drops off to 0.7bar
I checked for boost leaks, found my IAT sensor leaking and changed the O-ring. Now that my boost system can hold 2 bar boost without leaking all that happens is, is my Wastegate Duty Cycle dropped but boost is still acting the exact same.
There is something I am missing that is holding me back. I even bought the boost control course on HP Academy but as you can imagine. It didn't help 🤣
I have tried over 100 tunes for my car where I adjust things one at a time to try and find what it is 🤣💔
Any help would be appreciated
Please help me out . Anyways I can get in touch. Email ig etc. I think these 30lb muitec injectors have my swap running horribly. Tbss intake lm7 os. I believe the flow for lm7 is 25.4. running very rich gas coming from exhaust 🥺🤦🏽🤦🏽
I have wondered what my stage 2 tsp low lift cam would make on my 2002 suburban I’ve been running it without a tune for about 30,000 miles so far man it runs good I wonder how it would do with one. It actually gets decent mileage
It's getting better mileage because it's running lean. You absolutely need a tune with a camshaft. I have the TSP Stg 2 High Lift cam in my LQ9 Escalade (only difference being the high lift cam requires different valve springs) and the fuel trims were way high until I got the MAF and VE dialed. Then you can work on ignition timing, transmission, throttle response, etc. Just watch all of Matt's videos he literally explains all of this.
i cant find a video on what all needs changed in the tune when swapping from a auto to a manual trans, if you know how n made a video on how i think it would get some views for sure n help alot of ppl?
Are still making videos for members only? I joined but don't see anything current...
So, do you do remote tuning? I'm so far out in the middle of nowhere doing an lt swap. With btr stage 3, 6l90e trans. There's nobody here in my state that does tuning like this.
He does. Go to his website for more info. Should be in the description.
How do you get good data for your fuel trims, where decel fuel cutoff won’t skew your data. Do you use a certain equation for ltft stft?
You can use a filter that'd show fuel trims only when pedal position is more than zero or any desired percent or you can disable dfco altogether
2004 Yukon Denali xl 6.0 stage 2 nsr cam I have mpvi3 pls . I need a remote tuner . How do I contact you directly to talk and get it done. Thank you very much
Do you know what brand of headers and Y pipe this truck has?
They looked like the speed engineering ones. I fit some for a guy recently and they fit good, quality seemed ok for the price
