Didn’t know about you until the Cleetus video. Learning more useful info here than in the Tuner School books and other youtube tuning channels combined.
This video just answered so many questions that I had about using an OEM ECU in an upcoming project, in order to keep it as cheap and simple as possible, yet retain a bit of flexibility in terms of boost control depending on the situation without having to change complete ecu maps. From your explanation, what I gather is that it will allow me simply toggle between between 2 or 3 preset boost levels on a seperate controller on the fly (ie. Valet Mode, Normal, Towing/Hauling or whatever). Again, not a race vehicle by any means, but giving me the ability to have something like an 6psi, 10psi and 14psi preset to choose from on a seperate controller. I gotta watch more of your videos now.
Just a tip, you don’t have to copy and paste every row on the VE (timestamp 9:25 ish) you can highlight the entire table, right click and select “copy with axis”, then go to the other table and click paste and it will only paste the relevant cells
Hi MAT.I watch your videos a lot, they are very cool. Thank you so much for your hard work! I'm cleaning my turbocharged truck. What happens if I just specify the size of the 75Lb injector and don't scale the tables? 👋👋👋👋
These videos are awesome! I notice you like to disable LTFT for the most part. I've noticed typically STFT are much more volatile on transitions and tends to skew data to the point it doesn't seem correct. Do you feel that is actually a more correct representation of what the engine is doing? Is there a specific reason you prefer tuning with STFTs?
Currently dealing with a “tuned” c5 corvette with a Magnuson supercharger kit. Maf only tune, stock map sensor, 42lb injectors but still the stock injector data except they did change flow rate. Really a pain in the ass starting with someone else’s tune which seems kinda wonky.
Hi, I have a question on the power enrichment. I saw at the commanded KPA you went above 1.0 for the EQ. Aren't it supposed to be lower than 1 Lambda? To run richer? Exp 0.8-0.85? Also note I am om the Audi platform with HP tuners Still a noob here busy learning lol
I mean yeah i can understand this .. mine is po1 tho .. my spark table is almost maxed out on a mild built 6.0 also maf peaks at 11k so adding a turbo everything will be way out of range
Hey Matt, I think I’ve found your channel just in time. I’ve got a 2008 gmc Sierra 6.2L on a 6L80, do you have any videos about tuning something like that? And will you help me tune mine? Your vids are bada*s and you’re a beast tuner dude, thanks in advance!
I went to the tuning website and I’m not seeing anything for a gen 3 forced induction base tune. Is that not available or am I just looking at it wrong? The vehicle I input was a 2005 gmc Yukon xl 5.3.
Why do you half all the values? Due to it being return less? What if there’s a pressure regulator with 1000cc injectors? You would leave value the same and not half VE and timing?
Is there any way to tell if your tune has already been scaled? I’m tuning off an existing tune that is already a 3 bar os but I changed the injectors and injector data. It was tuned by someone else before.
@Matt_Sanford thanks, I know the vve can be extended, just have to enter your own values. Was going to go to a 2 bar os, but this is my first e38 without that option
Using power enrichment for boost is a big mistake. If your fuel trims are swinging negative when you floor it, it locks the negative factor in and subtracts from the enrichment fuel. I chased my tail because of this. I disabled all PE and tuned the VE table and my fueling is constant. Believe me when you are running over 20psi you don’t want it running any leaner that what you set it at. Just a heads up. Do whatever makes you comfortable

Matt, get ready for a RUclips tune-up brother! Cleetus sent me and I'm ready to learn brother. 🤠
here to watch the channel blow up.. congrats.. great job on the GMC ..

So much info in this video. Very helpful . Thanks Matt.
dude, i would totally pay for the data from the website, it would be so awesome
Man I needed this 2 years ago lol

Good job on the GMC fella 👏🤟
I love your intro with all those revving motors. Makes my heart sing
More uploads 🤌🤌🤌 this is killer content 🤝
Love the info. Wanting to build turbo 5.3 yukon xl 4x4. Your teaching makes it easy for me to learn the skill of tuning
Awesome information. I can do LS swaps, but I don’t do tuning, it’s great that you can do remote tuning. I will be contacting you soon. 👍🏼
Matt, theres a ton of great info in this video. Thank you
Great info as always 👍
Great info as always, man. Keep them rolling! 🫡
Thanks for this video. I'm working on this next.
thank you for what you do man
Great video man. Great content as always.
Great video man, im forsure going to buy and HPtuner. Hope have you remote in and get me going. Keep up the good work
Been waiting a long time for this! lol thank you!
thanks Cletus awesome content Matt!! 👍🏻👍🏻
Very nice. I'm planning to put together a 370 with LSA supercharger and need to start on the tuning part. Going in an 01 Sierra
Here from cleets giveaway video.. Goodluck on growing your channel your about to blow up..
Great information! Learned a ton. Thinking about doing a turbo on my stock Gen 4 5.3L. Would be awesome to see the same info on a Gen 4. 🤙🏽
Cleetus sent me, I'm here to stay brother!🫡🫡🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Cleetus sent me:) 🤘

Now why do some double the stoich ? Or is that only required on the newer e38 and e67 ecu ?
How much do you charge for tunes?

In the process of building my truck, turbo lq4, going in an 02 avalanche with a P59 swap.
Should I consider keeping my MAF and putting it preturbo?
Maybe I missed it but do you need to halve the Cylinder Volume under First General tab too?

I put a 6.0l in my 2011silverado 1500. Do you tune by mail?
Would you recommend draw through maf on Gen 4 also?
Yes I would. The airflow is much less turbulent with being drawn through.
@@Matt_Sanford awesome thanks
You ever had a E38 pcm that didnt have a 2 bar OS option?
I have. I just continue on with using VVE if that’s the case. It’s rare but it does happen on certain OSs.
@Matt_Sanford thanks, I know the vve can be extended, just have to enter your own values. Was going to go to a 2 bar os, but this is my first e38 without that option

All im hearing is that i need to put a reference line on the return regulator that i already have and skip all this stuff
I'm gonna test that theory. Otherwise it looks like he halved the tune twice?
So 412 injectors ? On this demo ?
