Thank you for actually doing the audio comparison well by quickly switching back and forth. I've never seen another channel do such a good audio comparison
Hyperboom is the best speaker of the 3 with which it competes, it has good battery life, excellent sound!!! especially if it is placed in the corner of a room to increase the bass, I usually used it as a sound bar connecting it via optical cable to the TV in my room.
thanks for the comparison, thought it was very enlightening and it help me choose the Hyperboom speaker, with that I also ordered 2 Megaboom 3 speakers to help complete the setup. See how it sounds and once again thanks for taking the time to do this video.
The Sony SRS-XG 500 only Sounds good with mega Bass on and a separat eq to increase the highs and makes the Bass better. The Sony even gets louder then the boombox 2 with poweramp!!
And if you do that to the bb2 it will be louder too, do you get the point? It's pushing them above their limits. The sony already distords now, let alone with all this junk processing
JBL always seems to impress me with their small speaker and wide sound with almost the perfect balance between low mids and highs. It’s crazy how they’ve managed to pull this off.
I have heard both sonny xg500 and jbl boombox 3 and they both had the same loudness, very different from this video. in this video the sonny was very quiet compared to what I've heard live. both speakers get equally loud, they just sound different as in base wise and vocals. Sonny warmer and jbl is brighter. Connectivity for me works perfectly so far with sonnys, no skipping what so ever. I experienced skipping with jbl extreme 1 but hopefully that is fixed in the newer ones.
Thanks a lot for this comparison - very helpful! I own a JBL Boombox 2, and while I am quite satisfied overall, I have one very special major complaint: When using the wired 3,5mm jack input there is still a significant audio latency, due to digital processing or whatever, that you would normally only expect from bluetooth connections. That makes the Boombox 2 useless for small mobile live music setups or DJ sets. I would really like to know how the other speakers' line inputs perform, in terms of latency, if possible!? This is a technical detail that can nowhere be found in the manuals, and even the company's product support usually has no clue or gives some sort of "marketing answer". Maybe someone here can help me?
Did you solve this doubt? I'm wondering about what to purchase in order to be able to "karaoke on the woods" with a ddj flx4 hehe Any recoms would be appreciated
Hey Mate, i got an important question. When it comes to soundquality (not only loudness), would you prefer the Teufel Rockster Air over the UE Hyperboom? Or is the Hyperboom still the better sounding speaker in your opinion?
was looking to upgrade my JBL PartyBox 100, however the charging situation is a dealbreaker. My partybox is plugged in my garage as a home gym speaker and i just unplug and take it with me when going mobile. This old speaker gets louder when plugged in, not quieter.
Phantom is overpriced (and only gold sounds good), Vifa Stockholm 2.0 sounds much more refined, precise and neutral and IMO is the best sounding single cabinet speaker in the world...
Thanks for the video bro. I like your analysis and your niche is unique. I have a question that has bothered me for years. When a speaker is used at max volume or more than 50% vol, when you turn it back down, it's low volume threshold goes up, and by that I mean you need to get it to like 30% vol to have the same volume that you had at 10% previously before maxing it out. Why is this?
Nice man! I bought the boombox 2 in the beginning of april, I love the sound! Amazing Bass. But what about the boombox 3? Is it going to be better? I googled it and it says 60watts (the boombox 2 has 80watts) confused...
Hey MAN! Can you please get your hands on the new Soundcore Motion Boom Plus when it's released and compare it to the speakers in this video and the Partybox Encore Essential!

I just don't agree with what you're recommending for the soundboks go. It's not that it's better used outside, that isn't even really their main selling point, and I do not know where you got that fixation from. The thing with the soundboks go is that it's a very good portable party speaker. I live in a student dorm, and having this robust speaker that I can easily bring with me to wherever the party is (inside the different apartments) is great. This is why I love the go. It does a good enough job for college parties, while also being portable and easy to take around with you. A boombox or Hyperboom just wouldn't work for a party or a large gathering. And having the Soundboks 3, or PB310 for example would also work, but they're heavier and more clunky to take around with you (especially since there are multiple floors in the dorms.
Same I think its the best Because it has a more balanced sound for a more quality listen second for me would be jbl I have both I use my hyperboom for indoor quality use and my jbl for outdoors

Agreed.
Can't wait for the boombox 3 review..
Yup
Same
UE Hyperboom blew them all away. The Soundboks Go sounded terrible.
The JBL boombox 2 had the deepest bass and a more balanced sound profile although the hyper boom does get louder with better dynamics.
