I am a fellow percussionist (bongos and congas). I was just browsing for electronic drum kits and bumped into this video. I never knew that a table drum kit existed. I am happy you are enjoying your drum set. It is amazing that it is portable.
Thank you so much for this awesome review! I’m wanting to learn at 47 years old just the most basic drum beats which helps me as a guitar player. Your review sold me, thank you! (You make drumming look so effortless but it’s not! 😊)
I bought this drum pad at a yard sale for $25. Love it! I’m using it for backing tracks for my guitar playing and recording using the audio evolution android app! So much creative fun for cheap
My biggest question was if it can be hooked up to an external amplifier or PA. You answered my question in the first 3 minutes of your video. Thank you very much.
On the strength of your review, I just ordered one of these to play at church. I am hoping the tapping of the sticks-to-pads don't overwhelm the sound. Fingers crossed. Thanks for your review.
gain independence with your right hand while you you play the ands cause you stop for a half beat. Don't let the jerks try and tell u that u suck; do not let it bring u down the drum-set is a very competitive instrument among players.
Everybody keeps saying these pads are crap. Well I have been playing drums my whole life and I agree nothing beats an actual drum set. Let's face it not everybody lives in a house or has the room for a set of drums. I bought these drum pads for my 2 yr old son who is very interested in playing drums and piano. I want to wait to see just how serious he is before I spend the money on a set. Someone mentioned they wouldn't use these at a concert. Well I had some Yamaha pads when I was younger and hooked them up to an amp and used them in a concert once! Sure it wasn't an actual set of drums but it worked for what I wanted to and that's all that mattered at the time.
Nice said! It's a well- known way (or rather shortcut ;) to try getting some more self- esteem by criticizing everything, playing expert ;) It doesn't work, though ;) I'm not a drummer but want to play some own beats so this is something to consider.
I like these small digital console drum kits. I have 2 full sets and one of these (mine are Yamaha) and the little portables are wonderful for playing a gig somewhere that it is a pain to set up a full sized kit.
Nice video. Thanks for sharing. This is a decent set for someone to learn on or even practice on. For all of the critics here, It's not meant to be the 'end-all' device to take someone on a world-wide tour. However, I have seen some talented musicians (including drummers) take a set of kids instruments bought at Toys R' Us and do some pretty cool music videos with the stuff.
Thanks! I just bought one on eBay (no pedals).. I have many instruments but am not fluent with any.. I'm practicing rhythm using maracas/percussion. You sound great!
I agree, when learning, nothing can beat an acoustic kit. Same goes with guitar. An electric kit will make it too easy, and you'll get lazy. Once you start playing on a real kit, you'll be SOL, and have to start over.
This and Medeli DD305 seem to be the same thing by the same manufacturer. Actually it sounds way better in headphones, which is the correct way to use the kit. It's for small apartments and low budget. If you are serious about drums, go invest in a better quality kit, of course a normally sized one for comfort, but this one is pretty decent if drums are just one of your many hobbies and your apartment has to be silent. Also you can plug it into the PC via MIDI and assign any samples to the pads. The only thing that is really annoying is the set of two button pedals. They should definitely be replaced with proper ones (that would double the price though).
Professor Rick but by a strategy u can get it cheap.... first hook up a crash,hi hat, a snare, and a bass drum ... then upgrade it ... PS grap all of these for mid range .... i got a whole drum set for just ...13000
I'm confused by the make and model of your machine. I have the same exact machine but mine is the Simmons SD77. Do you have a case for your drum pads for transporting them around?
Thank you for sharing this. I have been looking to find something like this mainly because I really don't have the room to house a full electric drum set. I am okay on the drums. Not trying to join a band but I love to drum. I have a few questions. Is there a way to attach your mp3 player so you can play along and how has it been for you now that you have had it for a while?
I just purchased this drum set....when I have the reverb set to anything but 0, i get a fuzzy feedback....does yours have this problem or did i get a bad set? Thanks
Hey I bought one from a thrift store volume is really low even maxed. Could a cap blown? Or maybe speakers? It is old after all. Like 4 or 5? I'm 40 shouldn't be going deaf yet lol
Yes, they are sufficient. I started playing acoustic drums in 2006 and stuck around for a few years. Now I picked it up again with one of these and they are great. I bought mine for 60€ so it is a lot less money as well. You can practice every exercise, like paradiddles, you would practice on a practice pad. I was also jamming with my roommate the other day in it went really well. See, those things are great if you just want to learn the drums and the basics, which is all you gotta do as a newbie, but for mine some things are not possible or somewhat bothersome: - rimshots - ghostnotes sometimes go unnoticed - cymbals sound the same, no matter where you hit them - the high hat is in the middle and not to the left - small hit areas The drumkit is even sensitive to the force you apply, which means a harder hit sounds different from a lighter hit. To be sincere, in retrospective it would've been way better if I just started out with one of these, instead of buying a acoustic drum kit. If you play on this e drum kit for a year, you will have a huge advantage playing on an acoustic drum kit.
good demo! thanks you cleared up a few points for me! just pulled mine out of the mothballs really liking it now! it it has a very nice sound for its size and price! i have the same unit with a different name the spectrum 602 i had a smaller 4 pad yamaha no comparison.peace.
Well done U R more than a beginner and that is a nice drum machine. I have a Yamaha DD65 drum machinr which to is awesome that I bought before Xmas as I used to play drums many years ago. I also play keyboard, a bit of piano and I sing. Please check out some demo/covers I have up loaded. Cheers!
i have no idea how to play drums but have things on my pc like EZ drummer3 and i beer this would work awesome using midi, i’m sure when you use that kit to play with a band that it sounds better
My unit came without pedals, should I buy some special pedals? (do they works sensitively? I mean if I step hard on it it would sound harder or is it just an on/off switch and no matters how I step on it sounds the same?). My last question: is there a way to do a factory reset?. Thanks
I have literally the exact same one, got it for Christmas one of the pads busted through and another is broken as well it took about a month for third to happen and I'm not that strong
wow you are really good for a beginner i am a beginner and you actually helped me and I'm 9 but i play at my church and we play a band we play to everybody in the church and i play in the band with my dad we play at work of god and we play redeemed, i believe and i see you.
nice play..........i consider to have one also...not sure...but...i will see....anyway...i am used to play virtual instruments through my keyboard...& sometimes drums also....some i play with real instr....like the harmonica ect.......i also want to try drums....honest said my first choice for the real instruments......but...oke...it's nice electronic drum instr..i see..only the one i was looking for calls .alesis compactkit 7..same instrument body as the one you have...maybe similar sounds.....but i have my doubts to get one....i thought or that or an actual snare.....i preparing myself for my follow up album next year....to use as much actual instr instead always using the virtual ones....it's nice to combine it together of course. take care & the best with your music !
sorry,hi im trying to understand the same digital drum u have and the manual is in english...and there are some words i dont understand ..trying to translate them to spanish......can help??????????????''any???helpppppppppppppppppp???

I'm a drummer in a middle school band I'm going to give you advice on the grip your hands at the point were the drum stick can bounce back up into you hand when you hit the snare
Do you know how to send drumming to a PC? tried a cable I had, but nothing happens on the screen. Contatced customer support and they haven't replied. Thanks.

that’s pretty cool. to the negative comments. as long as she is happy with them, that’s all that matters. rock on

Big D Desert Dweller it’s good isn’t it?I used this for my kinder kids graduation.Played through a Roland mobile cube and it was great.
subilon yeah! Does the job!! I use it on Bandlab with electric guitar now
How do you connect it to the DAW?
My biggest question was if it can be hooked up to an external amplifier or PA.
You answered my question in the first 3 minutes of your video.
Thank you very much.
On the strength of your review, I just ordered one of these to play at church. I am hoping the tapping of the sticks-to-pads don't overwhelm the sound. Fingers crossed. Thanks for your review.
You’ll probably need an amp to play in church
This is a great review. This helped me get a feel for the product. Thx for the review

Chuck Purnell yeah man I think these are fun but not something I would use as an adult trying to play lol
LOL

was looking at one of these like the demo thanks fairly rounded piece of gear for the average person to have fun with.
It's built to last they're still going strong today
Looks like a great, cheap set to start playing drums! I'm going to get myself one as I always wanted to learn drums without spending too much money.
This helped me out allot I have 1 and I think they r amazing thank you a lot for this vid
Great review and advice! Thank you for sharing this!

Very nice presentation! What I missed is how it works with MIDI on a PC.

Can I connect a drum pad directly to my interface where do I have to change the cord on the USB side to microphone connection type
Do these have velocity feature when connected to ezdrummer etc...?
Good demo. I really liked it
I just purchased this drum set....when I have the reverb set to anything but 0, i get a fuzzy feedback....does yours have this problem or did i get a bad set? Thanks
the only reason why i am watching this is cause i have one of these and i want to know some more stuff
Same but mine is a little different cus mine doesn't have the turn thingy on it
Nice review, would be better if you can add some review about the base drum?
awesome thank you I am super pumped to buy one
Hey I bought one from a thrift store volume is really low even maxed. Could a cap blown? Or maybe speakers? It is old after all. Like 4 or 5?
I'm 40 shouldn't be going deaf yet lol
Can I preplay a custom loop so I can jam guitar or bass alongside
Are these good to practice before getting acoustic drums?

Is it possible to replace the snare pad with the hi-hat pad? I find it uncomfortable this way it would be the best if it were reversed!

I have literally the exact same one, got it for Christmas one of the pads busted through and another is broken as well it took about a month for third to happen and I'm not that strong
May I use regular sticks? Any latency? Bounce rolls capability?
Great video. Thanks
How good do the pedals work?
You had me at organic bongos!
How have the drums held up over the last 8 years? I just bought a set and I'm wondering if the pads are going to give up at some point.
Had mine for 7 years give or take and it’s held up beautifully
Will this work as a midi controller? I have drummer sound banks and all I want this for is to be able to play them as an actual drumkit
How do you know which one to hit with the sticks?
How much it goes 4 have no space for real drums I dig this idea of urs & light weight to is a plus
The small delay that I see on the video when you strike the heads tells me this is a toy and not a real instrument.
then just get an actual drum set. not everyone can afford so much space for them. shut the fuck up, Sandy.
It's so complicated trying to learn in RUclips but when u don't have the right one its frustrating
cab you teach me how to play that and how much did but that in the music store.
How match this drums and were you buy
