Jibs (cranes), especially ones that big, are very bulky and the operator really needs a lot of space to move around. They not only have to see the monitor to get the perfect framing but they need to check out their surroundings so they don't hit anything. Oh while using a lots of knobs to adjust the focus, pedestal and zoom. I'm sure you aren't the only that was in this person's way. Based off the monitor settings, they really wanted to capture a natural light setting for Damsel while Signora's was more of a night setting. 5600K means daytime light on the monitors and 3200K means indoor light; which is why Singora's also looks warmer. They also seem to use the cinema frame rate of 23.98 frames per second, compared to news or sports that uses 30 or 60 fps. All this really suits the mood of what they were trying to achieve. Usually people who get booked do not know what is going on. They are just told "here is a job at this location at this time" - they're freelancers and just want the gig. Make-up for film and tv is very unique; when she said "I thought I was just going to powder people" it's because powder is mainly used to eliminate the shine caused by the bright lights.
Signora's theme is just epic, tragic and powerful all at the same time. So far the greatest theme for me in GI i hope we get more of this style when we reach snezhnaya or at least for each Harbinger battle.
Oh this was PHENOMENAL to watch the behind the scenes !!!!! I definitely started crying hearing Yunjin’s opera / Shenhe’s theme with all the live Chinese instruments the way you did for sure haha 😭😭😭 chills all the way down the whole time y’all were listening!!! There’s something about the genshin impact songs (especially the ones with traditional Chinese instruments) that sound SO SO SO GOOD when played live. Happy you were able to fly out to NYC even for a day Ying to enjoy this experience !!!! ❤
