I absolutely cannot wait to go to the Chicago concert in January. I've been wishing for a live Genshin concert for 3 years now, and the fact that I'm actually going to one is literally a dream come true. I never thought that Genshin music would become so important to me, but after listening to it daily for years (in game but especially out of game) and hearing you talk about what makes it so special, I've come to appreciate it more than I could have ever imagined. I've introduced some of the tracks to my parents when visiting home/during the summer, and when I told them about the concert, they instantly said that they'd love to go with me. I'm sure it'll end up being an experience that the three of us will never forget. Hearing you talk about how much you enjoyed it and the atmosphere makes me infinitely happy, as you're probably the first person who I'd want to hear good feedback from. Thank you for talking about your thoughts and experience!
I wish I could go, but I’m doing a lot of stuff cuz I’m in my senior year of high school and am going to college for what I want to do. So I don’t even know if I am able to.
I actually saw my high school orchestra teacher playing as violinist in this concert and just like you mentioned, i wanna know what she thought of the whole thing. It was definitely a memorable experience for me and was just so much fun overall! :D
Potential cool interview idea? Find some of the performers from this concert and others and hear their perspectives on video game music? I know you already kinda do that with people from the opera world.
while im upset that i won’t be able to attend any of the concerts (none of the NA venues are close enough to where i live) it still makes me so happy that we as fans even have the opportunity to attend something like this! hoyo puts together so many cool “offline” events for genshin and their other games… i hope in the future they will expand to more countries + cities so that even more fans may one day have the opportunity to go to a concert or even just a pop-up shop 💖🙏
I use to go to the video games live orchestra back in the early 2010's and it was awesome, hearing some of the most iconic tracks in gaming played live is an experience. One time I sat next to an older couple that looked like they go to the concert hall every weekend, fully dressed up and were a little confused at the ruckus going on at the concert. I took the time to explain to them what each of the tracks meant and why so many of us were hooting and hollering. (including me during the catlevania and chrono trigger/cross numbers). Great couple that definitely enjoyed the context I provided.
I'm really hoping that these Genshin concerts become something similar to Distant Worlds and will tour more regularly in more cities. There's clearly a market! I would love to attend one live!
I feel like the concert was actually pretty disappointing. the LA concert I went to last night showed clearly that these world class musicians had only 1-2 rehearsals - the dynamics were off from the pianist and the orchestra fell apart a couple times during the compositions. Overall it sounded like the pianist didn’t bother listening to the original recording and the conductor didn’t bother giving different strings sections detailed notes about tempo/entry. The first violinist, while he still killed it, was literally practicing his solo for Liyue during the first intermission because he probably didn’t have enough practice time. I was excited to get a Shanghai quality concert and got like a youth symphony level performance from adult professional musicians. Additionally, the camera man failed to capture the soloists for at least half the concert and would focus on soloists while they were sitting doing nothing and then actively pan away from soloists while they were about to start their solo…like it’s actually egregious that they didn’t understand when the solos were happening. Just because people are happy to be there doesn’t mean that the conductor can’t be more enthusiastic about the set list. We paid money to see this and this was a huge let down for someone with an orchestral background.
Awesome video as always!! So happy to know that you were there in the audience with us Marco! This might be a controversial comment but I do think constructive feedback to the production quality is necessary for future improvements. The concert was a great experience but man…they really need more rehearsal, especially the lead violinist on the solo part. Maybe it’s because this is the first performance of the assembly, really hope later stops he’ll actually hit all the notes in the solo. Also wish there were more folk instruments present for Liyue, Inazuma as well as Sumeru - one of the biggest achievements of Genshin music is the flawless marriage of classical and folk music, wish it was brought to life more during the concert. Don’t get me wrong the Guzheng lady was absolutely fantastic and kudos to her, having to change tuning like a million times during performance…just wish there were more traditional instruments like that. For example I think the Zhongli’s theme (Rex incognito) would’ve been so much better if there’s a real Er-hu present. I also felt something was off with the drums. Either the selected drums were not quite fitted right for purpose, or the stage sound mixing was off - almost every time when the drums come in it sounded harsh and out of place. Maybe it’s also because of the venue/where I was sitting (front and center rows) All that said, I’m really happy to be able to go and grateful for the experience. Hopefully it’ll become a yearly tour and I for sure will be there every time.
It wasn’t a guzheng! It was a koto. I was disappointed that they decided to not have both a koto player and a guzheng player. The koto sounded great in the Inazuma tracks, but it really wasn’t a good substitute for a guzheng in the Liyue tracks.
I couldn't tell which character theme was cheered for more, Zhongli or Childe 😂 One of the girls sitting next to me literally jumped out of her seat for both. It was also really cool how excited people were to see the zither.
I can’t believe I was at the same concert as you! My music teacher was actually one of the performers in the orchestra and they said that they really loved the crowd’s enthusiasm. Apparently they only had one full rehearsal the day before (and a little bit day of) so it was definitely rushed but I think it still sounded amazing. Honestly now that I know how little time they actually had the performance seems even more impressive. Hopefully this will become an annual thing because hearing all those pieces in person really hit different.
I wish I knew you were there, based on your videos I think I was sitting on the balcony directly above you! One of the biggest highlights for me was the conductor and how he really drove each piece. Like you mentioned it was super fun to see how he and the rest of the orchestra got into the music as they played and it really added to the experience!
Thank you for the spoiler-free review :D I'm going in january in Düsseldorf. I was in that hall before to a Zelda concert and sadly the hall itself doesn't do the sound of an orchestra justice (not like for example the Philharmonie Köln). But I still want to experience it, since Genshins music is some of the best I've ever had the joy listening to. I went to many Videogame Concerts before and it's such a gorgeous experience. I wished there were more concerts like these, bc from my point of view it seems like videogame music is still met with prejudice... As soon as you admit that you love videogame music, people think of you as a child (I'm 34). It's so sad....
I really hope the concert will turn out great regardless of the location. But I'm still surprised why they picked this location instead of one that is actually meant for orchestra music. 😔
I hope they bring this concert to Brazil someday, it would be awesome, as the crowd is enthusiastic and passionate Well, it would sell in a blink of an eye tho
I'll be going to the genshin concert in London in January, really looking forward to it! glad you had a great time and really nice to see many different people enjoying this modern form of classical music :D
Glad to hear it was such a positive and refreshing experience, I really hope they do more of these in the future. Also I might've missed out on the Genshin concert, but I'm still going to the Nier concert in London in February and I can't wait to bawl my eyes out.
2:29 That's actually really cool. I saw a video of the concert in I believe Shanghai, and it kinda bothered me how much the big screen in the middle was used. So much so that I would even describe it as distracting.
I’m going with my parents later this year and they don’t play the game but they know how important it is to me and how much I love the music, so hopefully they’re able to enjoy it and understand me a bit more ^^ hopefully they don’t think i’m too cringe hehe…
If I ever get the chance to go to a Genshin Impact symphony concert I’m gonna make sure I snatch up tickets to go. I’m a fan of any sort of live music events in general, and live symphonies has to be one of the most sublime experiences I’ve had the pleasure of attending. I got to see the Eorzean Symphony this summer and it was both deeply moving and incredible exciting. You captured a lot of my own thoughts about that performance perfectly. One of my favorite aspects of watching the performance has to be the enthusiasm and drama of the conductor’s conducting. I wish I could go again ahhhh
I'll be at one of the Chicago performances in January. If they perform Innocent Age, Tales from the Snow Mountain, or What a hopeful voyage, I'm going to cry. 😅
I went to the concert with my friends in early October, I remember she said something like, "thanks to genshin (or insert any games) having a live concert, because you'll never see the young ones attending this kind of event." And yeah I agree! It was my first time attending an orchestra too and I gotta thank genshin for giving the opportunity for me to actually experience sitting in an orchestra, it was amazing and fun and I'd love to attend more!
Im so sad, that I'll probably never be able to visit these concerts (espacially because I was thinking about live concerts the very first year when we got our first online concert), unless I save up enough money in advance for flight ticket and to stay for a couple days. I mean I live near Moscow so there is a slight chance that Hoyo will go to Moscow and St Petersburg some day (usually are the only cities that are visited by foreighn groups, singers etc), but chances are very, very low. Triple the down for me is that I've visited a couple concerts like this with a mix of different big hit OSTs from movies and games, so I know how fasinating it is to hear an orchestra with the choir playing music you know and love so much. How different it sounds and feels decpite being the very same music I've heard hundreds of times in my headphones. I honestly wanna cry thinking about what kind of experience Im missing.
51 and playing Genshin here! 😊 Hope future concerts happen in Brazil, I love Genshin's music and seems like a great experience to listen to a live performance.
thank you for sharing! I have a ticket for later on so I'm excited to see how it goes. One of my former older coworkers is a violin player and thanks to her, I usually try to attend at least one symphony a year. I've certainly had that strange moment when I look around and I'm the youngest person by at least a decade. It would be fun to see to see it the other way around this time!
Man... I experience severe FOMO after reading people's tweet about them experiencing the concert in other cities. The live game orchestra concert I've gone to was for Kingdom Hearts in Singapore Esplanade Concert Hall and it was super magical as a superfan who've been loving the series since the beginning. Would love to go to a Genshin one some day in the future
I feel that. In the online concerts (sadly didn't get to go to a live one) i always love seeing the artists. Partly because seeing them play their instruments is cool, skillfull and authentic but honestly mostly because i love to see some of them vibing and i also like to ponder what they're thinking at that moment and with an audience it would be so cool to see them get the appreciation they deserve. I don't really care about the in-game scenes in the concerts tbh. I mean maybe it also isn't that surprising, that someone who would enjoy watching orchestra people react to the music would also be interested in seeing how the whole orchestra 'reacts' to the music (of course not the same but i think the analogy makes sense 😅)
I'm really sad the tickets for the concert in Germany were sold out before I even knew they were on sale, I would have loved to go to a Genshin concert. 😥
I camped the site when the sale started for the show in Düsseldorf, and you originally only had 10 minutes on the site (queue-based system). But for the first quarter hour, the site was just completely unresponsive, and I was afraid I would just get kicked out of the queue. Luckily, it worked out and I got my tickets. Shame you can't attend though, I hope you will get a chance another time!
@@123LadyLollypop I never knew that! Thanks a lot for telling me! I bought a ticket right away. I'll be traveling all the way over to Vienna from the Netherlands! Its a really long trip, but the costs balance out with the price of the tickets for Düsseldorf.
Thank you for sharing your experience with this video. Your channel is one of reasons that I started listening to classical music. now i can barely get the storys beneath music and I too, got an opertunity to go for offline genshin concert performing by same conducter of lostark concert i'm very excited to see how would he lead me to genshin impact music i'm familiar with. looking forward to your upcoming videos with love
Thanks for the review. I am waiting with bated breath for the concert in New York in January, lol. It'll be my first time going to New York too so it should be a good time~
very happy to see that they finally did a live concert sadly for me i cant go so im kinda sad we didnt get a concert video for this anniversary atleast yet. very cool to see how big this ended up being too truly shows how much people love the music of genshin
This was first video game orchestra and I had such an amazing time! I went dressed as Furina and seeing ppl excited to see me as I am of them was a whole other feeling
Were you the Furina at the very top balcony or on one of the other floors? I think I only saw 2 Or Furina, but I couldn't see most of the 1st balcony or floor from my seat
Ah I'm sad I didn't see you there! It was such a fun concert. The Inazuma main theme in particular was so impactful! Some of the pieces are definitely super difficult to play. I find it funny that Photon of fluctuation is the main battle theme for Genshin but it's also one of the most difficult pieces to play (Even the recorded 2021 concert had mistakes in their playing) and they did a great job with it. Overall, I was really impressed at the actual orchestration, it's extremely hard to orchestrate such a wide array of instruments into a single performance, especially without the digital backdrop. This really needs to be a standard concert tour like Distant Worlds.
Glad you got some tickets before they were completely sold out and experienced the concert already! I still have to wait until next year since me and my sis are going to the one in Düsseldorf and a small genshin concert next month in Vienna! Looking forward to it
My first ever gaming symphony orchestra was Distant Worlds Final Fantasy back in 2013/2014. Listening to all the music that I loved so dearly performed live was such an amazing experience, I forgot how many tears I cried out that night just from the music itself. Genshin's symphony orchestra gave me the same experience too. As an end game player, I re-lived many major moments in the early game through the live orchestra. There are some flaws in certain songs as they are limited by the exotic music instruments available to produce the unique music (Chinese pipa, erhu, guzheng, dizi just to name a few). But still I enjoyed the concert with many other Genshin fans that night.
I just realized I was a few rows behind you😅 my proudest moment was being first in the merch line intermission one😁But as a someone who is often at the symphony I was really impressed by the concert. I was able to attend with a couple friends who had never watched a symphony before, so it made me so happy to watch my friends enjoy the performance and even thanked me for pushing them to attend! Just overall I really loved the concert!
Hey Marco, it was really great seeing you this weekend (also hey I made into your video lol). The concert was an absolute delight. Genshin music means so much to me, and I had been craving to be inside a concert hall listening to it for the past 3 years. What I failed to take into account was the incredible energy that would come with a concert hall filled with Genshin fans appreciating music. Honestly it was pretty magical. It felt like a Mini Genshin convention in a way. Really cannot overstate enough how incredible it all was. Sometimes you just play a game at home, and you kinda forget there's a whole universe of people out there who really enjoy the same you do. I think you really nailed it and expressed pretty much how I felt about the orchestration. Mainly how interesting it was to see where they struggled to play some pieces. Also I don't know if it was me, but I did feel like the acoustic of the venue was off at times, but it might be the mixing in general. Sometimes the woodwind instruments felt like they were drowned by the strings, which is a bit of a shame but I figure the Boston stop is the sort of practice round, and they will adjust for the other stops. I hope they do many more of these because there's so many pieces I wish to hear! It was a fantastical experience and here's to many more !
Now I low-key want you to bring one of these orchestra musicians on the channel, especially if they aren't into videogame music and are prejudiced about it, and have them listen to some tracks. That could make for an interesting discussion!
They absolutely killed every song, and it was such a treat to see this concert. I was at the very top back row, but even still it was cool to watch the players on the screen. And I agree 100%, there were definitely some songs where they could've just switched to playing the track through the speakers and I wouldn't have noticed. Honestly a little surreal. I really hope they do this again next year 🤞😬
glad you had fun! the tickets here sold out within five minutes, and the site crashed so i couldn't go 😭😭 hopefully i get to have this experience someday in the future as well!
I watched one video of the concert performed by Tokyo Phillharmonic. It was interesting and kinda took me by surprise... Can't wait to go to the in a few weeks in LA myself and meet up with discord friend, enjoy the music and excited to see how it'll be different compared to the other Genshin concerts.
🤣 Wow, I found the back of my head in your video! Thank you for sharing the experience! (Spoiler alert!) Overall, I also had a nice experience, but I can see there are so many things that could be done better. I wish to hear the first chair violinist more clearly, and also wanted to hear the solo violinist play the solo part in "Liyue" perfectly. The sound of the drums was a little off-putting, but it might have been due to the weird echoing effect on the stage. I can see the guitarist was trying to get the notes correctly, but man...he might need to practice the dawn winary solo a little bit more. Sorry to point out some of the imperfections according to my experience, but that is just because I reeeealllyyy love Genshin, Genshin music, and music in general. I know that it is very difficult to put up a concert tour in the world, but I still hope that Genshin music team can continue providing better quality concert experiences for fans to enjoy. And always, love your channel and will continue watching your content! Go Marco!❤❤❤
@@MarcoMeatballLove you! We actually drove from New York to Boston, and we even mentioned you in the car saying that we enjoyed every single one of your Genshin music reaction vids. Keep up the good work Marco!
This concert was really fun. It was fun to meet other cosplayers. If you saw a Lyney that weekend for the concert in Boston, chances are... You saw me :]
I went to the Concert in Singapore. Lots of young fans as well, but we as Asians are too conservative, too polite, too serious to cheer, show delight at their favorite piece.🤣 Most people think being in a orchestra should be quiet like watching a movie, while its true 90% of the time, but for a game concert, i believe cheering actually is, showing love to the music and to the performing musicians.
I disagree. showing delight at your favourite piece is not a matter of being conservative. It is matter of etiquette and acoustics. Gaming concert or not, an orchestra with classic fundamentals has to fill the room with music through its own acoustics. This is unlike a pop concert, where you have speakers everywhere to amplify the music. Also orchestras tend to have more instruments than pop music and so picking out details such as singling out an instruments from the symphony can require more concentration than a pop song. So, if you cheer, you would be more disruptive than you think. Pretty sure thats why orchestras reserve applause till the end of the piece rather than having its audience combust spontaneously into cheers and applause.
i was there !! i didnt know u were there ;-; you really said everything that was on my mind about this concert. It was incredible to witness a live performance with such an enthusiastic audience. i want to go back :’
You lucky son of a gun! I was so disheartened to find out there is not a single city in my continent that was getting a concert venue. Sadge. Can companies please remember that Australia exists?
I went to the concert in my city Seoul and it was great, especially the scaramouche theme where there was a real singer it was so epic, unfortunately i heard the pieces were different for most concerts. Overall it was a great experience and ill defo go next year as well.
Two years ago i visited symphonic orchestra concert that mixed some of the Japanese games and anime music. Conductor was Japanese and he was travelling, while the orchestra consisted of local musicians.... Aaaand this concert left with sort of mixed feeling. Some songs that they've played felt... flat? I'm not sure what is the best way to describe... as if orchestra or conductor was a little afraid to use all the dynamic range they could produce. Like i know they could - those musicians perform classic pieces without problems but well... Also for two tracks they had live rock drums and guitar... and ah this also didn't went well. Concert hall was a smaller side and drums was way to loud. I'm sure that both the musicians and the conductor are competent but it looked like they had too few time to practice together or something. And mixing modern instruments, especially drums is certainly tricky. My best guess is that this could work better in a larger halls.
It was really interesting hearing your take on the concert! The instrumental/orchestral concerts I've been to, I typically have enjoyed, but I had attributed that to my familiarity with the music rather than how the musicians were playing it. Typically I would find it hard to attribute any kind of "emotional gravitas" to instrumental music, as that's usually reserved for vocal performances in my mind. So it's interesting and enlightening to hear you talk about how the instrumental musicians also contribute to that kind of feeling... I've probably been unfairly undervaluing their performances for most (all?) of my life, tbh. I wonder if you'd ever consider going to a Distant Worlds or New World concert - the ones based on the Final Fantasy series? It seems like they'd be a similar vibe to this, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on those as well.
@@MarcoMeatball If you DO get to go again, I hope you can make a similar video review to this one to give us your professional musician analysis of it 🙂 HoYoVerse music is great too, but for me at least, FF music is where my heart truly lies, and has done for basically as long as I can remember. They had a performance of "A New World" at one of the anime conventions I went to one year, and they started playing "Toroian Beauty" - one of my original favorites from when I first started playing FF's as a kid - and when I tell you I started uncontrollably sobbing for no real reason... it was wild. I thought that track would be too obscure for them to play, I thought I'd never get to hear it live. I wish I could really unravel why it had that instant and strong effect on me. The way music and emotions get tied up sometimes is really something else, and VG music - for me at least - seems to have a multiplicative effect, there.
i went to the concert in boston and it was genuinely one of the best experiences I've had attending a concert. i love the setlist too. but yeah intermission was wild lol. i was gonna get some merchandise but the whole thing gave me anxiety before i could even got up from my seat 😭🙏😩😂
I'm really looking forward to January when I'll be attending the concert in Düsseldorf. It's in a giant arena, and I really hope that that won't affect the sound as much in comparison to a dedicated Symphony Hall ;-; Anyway I'm so excitteeeeeeeddddd AAAAAA
It's my dream to see a live performance, but I live in Spain and for now there are no concerts nearby... Hopefully soon I can have the pleasure of enjoying it in person.
I wish they can make big stadium concerts like the Taylor Swift ones. I am pretty sure it will be filled up. The tickets were sold out in minutes, imagine the amount of people who couldn't get the ticket, like me.
I cannot wait to go to the concert Nov. 19th. I was originally going to go to the Sonic Symphony that happened in October but sold out pretty fast too. I’m pretty excited that game music is making its way to these big stages. I do hope other of my favorite games get their chance to go up like this some day. (Zelda Tears 🤞) Also question if you can answer, what was the average merch prices like, wanna save a bit to get a few cool things if possible.
Will you make a review with the spoilers too? (tagged ofc) As someone who can't go to the concert I would love to hear your thoughts on specific pieces if possible
Is this the Boston concert? I was there in front of you at Row L. Did you go to the gift store there? They sold several Cd sets there. There were a lot of cosplayers and I love the atmosphere in the concert. First time been there since the Covid.
I saw a video of the concert from Beijing and it was nice to hear all the people cheering when a certain song came along. You're right about the players probably not used to hearing such enthusiastic responses, I hope they enjoyed it as well
Interesting views on fan reaction. My concert ticket is for Nov 19th. I wasn't enthusiastic about audience reactions. I'd like them to be quiet until the piece is done. But if you approve, then I'll be open minded.
At least last Saturday, there were some collective sounds of excitement when people starting recognizing the song (specifically noticeable for 2-3 songs I think), but they quieted down in like 2 seconds. I don’t remember any mid-song interjections; I think the audience was respectful of the performers overall. It was a great vibe in Boston, hope that stays true for your show in Nov as well 🎶
I confess to not knowing about this and going to look up locations and tickets. The closest one is/was an 8-hour drive, which didn't even faze me, but apparently it already passed.
Do you think after learning to play these game concerts, it suprises and changes the minds of the players about game music? If its their first time I bet a lot of them didnt know game music could be like that. Also, you mentioned hearing how certain bits dont work as well prurely with the orchestra because for example the missing edm track exposes holes or whatever- do you think when orchestras play these game osts they should do like some of those that specialise in game music do and put in none traditional elements like electric guitars and an edm etc if that is needed to properly produce the track to sound right?
I am one of those young people who really enjoy opera but whenever I try to mak my friends listen to it, they don't seem to care about it or more importantly, respect it. I think I need to get out of my friends group.
Wish were a Genshin concert in South America. . . However their CC and most of their audience doesn't care about music 😣 And I feel like Hoyo knows this so hadn't tried The "close" one was the one in Guadalajara, Mexico
I been searching video about the concert because i cant attend one but the things i been seeing the traditional instruments are sometimes not used or sometimes are not available for liyue, inazuma and especially sumeru
I'm a little annoyed with Hoyoverse for not having made concers in other countries. It may sound selfish but they could at least have made one in France, after all the new region that is Fontaine is based on France...
If I may make a recommendation for something to listen to in terms of video game music I would suggest listening to the theme for the combine in half life 2 the combine march.
I was on the 3rd floor balcony right side. Do you remember when they started playing the Liyue harbour theme and then the conductor had to stop the pianist like 3 times? I'm still curious as to what could have happened there.
I was fortunate enough to have a friend who bought extra tickets. I was able to buy one off him for MSRP and will be going in a few weeks (LA Venue). I did want to ask a few questions to those whove gone. How early should I arrive? I was thinking 2 to 3 hours but I do not know if thats overkill enough. Otherwise, what merch is sold at the venues? Because from what Ive been communicated, there likely wont be merch due to it being an orchestra.
I was one of those feral fans running to get merch 😭😭

while im upset that i won’t be able to attend any of the concerts (none of the NA venues are close enough to where i live) it still makes me so happy that we as fans even have the opportunity to attend something like this! hoyo puts together so many cool “offline” events for genshin and their other games… i hope in the future they will expand to more countries + cities so that even more fans may one day have the opportunity to go to a concert or even just a pop-up shop 💖🙏
"Hooting and hollering"
lol poor old folks
Aw man that SUCKS
Maybe it’s also because of the venue/where I was sitting (front and center rows)
All that said, I’m really happy to be able to go and grateful for the experience. Hopefully it’ll become a yearly tour and I for sure will be there every time.
Not controversial. You’re exactly right.
It wasn’t a guzheng! It was a koto. I was disappointed that they decided to not have both a koto player and a guzheng player. The koto sounded great in the Inazuma tracks, but it really wasn’t a good substitute for a guzheng in the Liyue tracks.
There was a Guzheng for sure@@kihada1611
@@moekame I was right above the stage and didn’t see one. The soloist had two kotos.
gotcha@@kihada1611
I couldn't tell which character theme was cheered for more, Zhongli or Childe 😂 One of the girls sitting next to me literally jumped out of her seat for both.
It was also really cool how excited people were to see the zither.
Meeting Marco at the concert literality made my day. He was so nice and...tall.
I was there and I didn't see you, Marco. DAM I'm screaming.
Thank you for the spoiler-free review :D
I'm going in january in Düsseldorf.
I'm going to the one in Chicago in January, i CANNOT wait
I hope they bring this concert to Brazil someday, it would be awesome, as the crowd is enthusiastic and passionate
Well, it would sell in a blink of an eye tho
It's just music, it's not cringe
For me good music is good music. Genre or culture doesn't matter.
Good
You will
I feel that.
Eagerly waiting for the New York concert(s).
Gerade mal geschaut und es gibt einige EBAY anzeigen. Klar, isn bisschen riskant aber....

very happy to see that they finally did a live concert sadly for me i cant go so im kinda sad we didnt get a concert video for this anniversary atleast yet. very cool to see how big this ended up being too truly shows how much people love the music of genshin
Little top hat?!
@@jaycollier28 I was seated on the second balcony, honestly best seats for an orchestra. The view was amazing.
Looking forward to it
Oh my gosh! I was right above you first ledge section! Dang it I wish I spotted you! The music was so beautiful
It’s okiiiii
Thank you Marco!!
Glad you had a great time, Marco. I'll be going in January at Carnegie Hall in NYC. I'm so excited.
Literally can't wait to go the Düsseldorf concert. So pumped
PoV: Marco as an adult discovering the sheer passion of fan communities in real time like we did when we were itty bitty teenage humans.
I'm so happy for you! Also extremely jealous! I wish I could go to one of the concerts. Nothing ever comes to my part of the world...
Every time Marco said "really, really", I was thinking of him being a fan of the Spice Girls, or perhaps a spice girl himself.

This concert was really fun. It was fun to meet other cosplayers.
If you saw a Lyney that weekend for the concert in Boston, chances are...
You saw me :]
I wish I could’ve gotten my ticket sooner maybe next time hopefully
Asians conservative? Have you seen the amount of screaming in Shanghai?

I didn't knew there was a Genshin Orchestra concert! What a unique experience!
You lucky son of a gun! I was so disheartened to find out there is not a single city in my continent that was getting a concert venue. Sadge. Can companies please remember that Australia exists?
Its wild to have music that transcends ages
I went to distant worlds last November but I’d love to go again.
And you didn’t see me!?
So jealous, I have to wait till January and it's sandwiched between two medical exams 😩
YESSS, nice video
I wish they can make big stadium concerts like the Taylor Swift ones. I am pretty sure it will be filled up. The tickets were sold out in minutes, imagine the amount of people who couldn't get the ticket, like me.
i just hope they realise that there were more interested to go but they fully book within a few hours
I cannot wait to go to the concert Nov. 19th. I was originally going to go to the Sonic Symphony that happened in October but sold out pretty fast too. I’m pretty excited that game music is making its way to these big stages. I do hope other of my favorite games get their chance to go up like this some day. Yes it was ❤️
Sigh, I wish they had dates for Manila. Sadly the tour dates in Asia I had to be somewhere :(
I saw a video of the concert from Beijing and it was nice to hear all the people cheering when a certain song came along. You're right about the players probably not used to hearing such enthusiastic responses, I hope they enjoyed it as well
Interesting views on fan reaction. My concert ticket is for Nov 19th. I wasn't enthusiastic about audience reactions. I'd like them to be quiet until the piece is done.
But if you approve, then I'll be open minded.
they weren't excessive!
At least last Saturday, there were some collective sounds of excitement when people starting recognizing the song (specifically noticeable for 2-3 songs I think), but they quieted down in like 2 seconds. I don’t remember any mid-song interjections; I think the audience was respectful of the performers overall. It was a great vibe in Boston, hope that stays true for your show in Nov as well 🎶
@hazelpinpin7793 it's going to be in the Peacock Theatre in LA, California. Flying down there to attend. 7,000 seat capacity, I heard.

However their CC and most of their audience doesn't care about music 😣
And I feel like Hoyo knows this so hadn't tried
The "close" one was the one in Guadalajara, Mexico
I been searching video about the concert because i cant attend one but the things i been seeing the traditional instruments are sometimes not used or sometimes are not available for liyue, inazuma and especially sumeru
Wow i wish i was there but I'm so farrrrrrr
I'm a little annoyed with Hoyoverse for not having made concers in other countries. It may sound selfish but they could at least have made one in France, after all the new region that is Fontaine is based on France...
There are a lot of factors that go into concert organization. It wasn’t a personal thing.
Likely it was a sync up with the video. He also went from one piece to the other and there must have been an eyesight connection
Did they play Fontaine music? I really wanted to go but can’t afford it this year. Hopefully next year they play Natlan music and I’ll be able to go
no spoilers so...maybe :D
Does anyone knows is this year we will have an online version like other years? A video I mean.
It would be nice if they did
I'm curious about how long the concert lasted, actually. Does anyone have an answer to that?
Two hours
This is a dumd question but do we have to go in a suit for a concert like this? You because fancy music
absolutely not.
Will there be an online version of the concert later?
I dunno
They are apparently going to post one in December on RUclips
I believe they pick and choose some of them to upload
