Hey Laura what about filming short videos with the transformation of all the areas in the graden? It would be nice to see the progres that you guys have made till now.
I also would love to see area by area how they have developed over the years. Really enjoyed the trip down memory lane.
Agreed and year five is the perfect marker. They wouldn't even necessarily have to film new stuff. Just edit together all the garden tours from over the years and make one video per area.
I accidentally watched a 3 year old video last week and it was pretty cool to recognize the changes

I agree with this format. I remember one video years ago where you planted Forsythia over in the garden where the bench is and I had also planted three the year previous, I think. I've looked for that Forsythia in your periodic tours when you touch on that area and wondered what happened to it. Seeing a yearly progression of many of the area of your garden would be great - seeing how the perennials got their starts and how you've changed out the annuals in those area. Yea, I vote yes, please.

Yeah...and the extra footage in the end was so calming than the entire video. Beautiful evening, sun showing its marvelous colors and a family spending time together (2 lovely human beings, 1 adorable baby and 1 pet cat😅) makes me miss my parents home so much..🙂😍❤ (can't visit my parents bcoz of this pandemic!)
Laura, I watched this video today and didnt see the last minutes..So as I went inside for a little nap after being out in sweltering heat..I thought id just watch abit more..and that was just the most sweetest ending..It makes me happy to see a happy young Benjamin and you two..It just gave me a new hope...a nice surprise. and how he was affectionate to Russel too. 🙌💚😆

Love that entrance. From a designer’s point of view. The entrance is the most important area of a space, because it’s the first thing people sees when they enter your home/garden and that usually sets the tone for the rest of the space. Again, stunning entrance.
Love the 'flashbacks' to see the changes.

I love how you transform it differently each year.. I.l can’t hardly wait to see when you and Aaron have the new bricks put in, that will be so pretty. The BEST part, was seeing Benjamin and his cars and the “BIG HELLO” we all got!! He is a talker and he is growing like a weed!! 🙏🏻

Same, and I did not find this channel until Dexter had already passed away. After I saw the "Sad news" video, it was kind of hard to watch the older ones. I do think it very poignant that one ginger cat appears in older videos of precious time past, and another ginger kitty is here and now in the present. A beloved pet can never be replaced, but you can adopt another and love them just as much. I am a cat person in case you hadn't guessed. I like to save these videos to Sunday morning when I can relax, and right now I have my own gray fluffball of a cat sprawled across my lap.

I planted Truffulas this year next to my Bobo Hydrangeas and love them. I don't think they have a bad smell. I hope to have enough blossoms to make a wreath for my mother.

At Minute 10:20 I just LOVE how Benjamin is helping you show the Miscanthus. He seems to be helping you 'present' it to the camera. Then he gets distracted and begins to play with it! Soon he will begin doing plant videos on his own, after watching how you have been doing them. Imagine how much plant information his little-boy mind has already absorbed.
You scared me to death when you took that step backwards and almost tripped on that toy!! It's wonderful to see how things have evolved in this section around the house. Benjamin is such a sweetheart! He made me laugh at the end of the video.... Great job Benjamin!!!

Benjamin you are a hoot and growing so tall! Loved seeing the changes through the years. Our gardens have gone through a lot of changes and more plans for next year. 2018 being the most dramatic after a F0 tornado came through and took down all the large trees. The wonderful thing about gardeners is we carry on and experiment until we find exactly what we are wanting for a particular space. Happy Gardening!

Absolutely loved this video! Showing your flower beds over the last 4 years is wonderful 🌺 Some plants were a success & some - not so much. So interesting to see you try all the different plant ideas. 😊 Would LOVE to see a recap of your other flower beds like this one. Seeing Benjamin, Russell & Aaron(voice) was such family fun 💕 Side note - when you change out the miss matched sidewalks in this area, I would take out those miss shaped flowerbeds altogether. The changes you made on the west side of your home are beautiful (walkway with the tall urn in the center) and soooooo creative. Bear Hugs from Ohio!

Gardening is trial & error, at least that is what I deal with in my gardens! Love seeing the different things that planted in this area from year to year! Love hearing about your plans for the future, love the idea for the wrap around porch!! My house used to have a wrap around porch a long time ago and in the 1940's when my husband's grandparents lived here the original house with the wrap around porch burned! I also love when Benjamin makes an appearance, he is getting so big! Your videos always inspire and spark a thought in my brain that grows til I make it a reality!!!!
Just want to tell you that you have a very very nice garden. I am so inspired by your work in your garden. I love gardening too and I pretty much did all my yard by myself. Great to see in one video how things fared from year to year!! I'm seeing things in my gardens this year that I know I would change and things that have done super good. Good learning experience! Still would like to have drip which I think would improve a lot of foundation plantings but I definitely was better with more consistent watering and fertilizing too so that has also been a game changer for me. Love seeing Benjamin just being that cute little boy he is and always enjoy seeing the "garden kitties"!! A beautiful family affair ♥
