I remember taking a friend who just came from China on a tour of NYC. He couldn't believe how dirty and rundown the subway system was. It wasn't until I visited China that I realzed how far behind the US is compared to China in infrastructure, cleanliness, and public safety. Can't wait to watch you other videos.
As an overseas ethnic Chinese I thank you for sharing the footage of Shanghai metro that I have not been to. I did use the Shenzhen and Guangzhou metro and those in Hong Kong. I have tried the three UK undergrounds of London, Glasgow and Newcastle, the subways in New York, Toronto, Rome, Milan, Seoul, Buenos Aires, Tokyo, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. Your comparison of UK underground and US subways with China is accurate. I have heard lots of praises about Chinese metro and you have told us why and one of the reason is China keeps on modernising them. I can certify this fact because in Hong Kong too the metro system is constantly improved. The western subways and underground, especially in the US and UK do not receive the same attention, repair and improvement so the differences become extreme. European and Asian metro are at least better look after, constantly improved and a lot cleaner than the American and the British systems. You belong to the new young generation who is taking an interest in the infrastructure surrounding you. I hope through your video countries could find a way to cooperate to bring about better public transportation systems for their citizens instead of politicizing and disagreeing with each others.

I am in Chongqing right now and the stations here are so big that the staffs have allocated fenced off areas where people can literally chill and shelter from the heat. So I know all Chinese stations are like this but coming from Hong Kong, this is a shock to me.

The size & modernity is impressive. However, the walking distances are ginormous & am surprised that there are no moving pedestrian walkways & the escalators are long & steep.

Unfortunately Harvey you're showing them the newer subway system what about the rural section where the tunnels leak and I rarely used because of non maintenance you know where the poor people in China live and by the way those people that are following you around could it be that they're making sure you don't show them areas you're not supposed to like the provinces that have been neglected due to corruption I lived in China and I know those particular area that I'm mentioning why don't you travel there and see how that works out for you but then again who wants to spend time in a Chinese prison for espionage😂😂

Unfortunately Harvey you're showing them the newer subway system what about the rural section where the tunnels leak and I rarely used because of non maintenance you know where the poor people in China live and by the way those people that are following you around could it be that they're making sure you don't show them areas you're not supposed to like the provinces that have been neglected due to corruption I lived in China and I know those particular area that I'm mentioning why don't you travel there and see how that works out for you but then again who wants to spend time in a Chinese prison for espionage😂😂
