My dad was born in China. There was a very severe famine in the early 1900''s and his parents died in that famine. His surviving relatives brought him to Malaysia together with his sister. I remember he used to send money back to his relatives. They were so poor back then. I was very fortunate to secure a very good job that allowed me to see the world. My first visit to China was to Beijing in 1985 and I had tears in my eyes when I saw how poor the Chinese people were back then. China's economy was still not developed back then. I saw bicycles everywhere on the streets. No one owned a car. There were some Volkswagen Santana taxis which the locals couldn't afford. I could go on a day tour of Beijing and had 2 meals for less than US $15 a day. Today, China is so highly developed and so beautiful. The living standards of the Chinese people had improved by leaps and bounds. I really wish that my dad had lived a long life so that I could bring him back to see the impoverished China that he left behind in his childhood, had become such a highly developed and prosperous nation. Unfortunately, he died in a car accident when I was very young. In contrast. I saw how developed and rich the US was when I first flew to Hawaii and California in 1977. Americans were living a very good life and there were very few poor people. Today, there are so many poor people in the US living on the streets. Meanwhile, China had lifted up more than 700 million out of extreme poverty. We must give credit where credit is due. Deng Xiao Ping was a man of great vision and foresight. The other great Chinese leader was Lee Kuan Yew who brought Singapore out of poverty to a modern metropolis. It was in 1978 that Deng Xiao Ping came to visit Singapore when it was already on the ascendency. Lee Kuan Yew told Deng Xiao Ping that if we in Singapore who are descents of peasants from China can progress, you and your people can do much better than us. Those words must have struck him so hard that the moment he went back to China, he set up the Special Economic Zones. That visit to Singapore changed him and China. He later said "It doesn't matter whether the cat is black or white as long as it catches mice." He was referring to the style of government, regardless democratic or communist, it must improve the lives of its people. I am so happy to see a prosperous and vibrant China, the land of my forefathers.
I don't normally read comments this long, but I read yours 👍 There are a lot of things that happen behind the scenes that the average person don't see. There have been a number of colour revolution attempts, but all have failed. To prosper under those circumstances, and to then succeed in bringing the population out of poverty and misery is absolutely mind-boggling. I think no other country can replicate this. No-one but the Chinese government can deliver such brilliant results for its citizens 👍
I lived in the U.S., graduated, and worked there for five years before choosing to move back to Vietnam. Everyone asks me "Why not stay? Why reject the American dream?" Man they haven't lived there and witnessed the daily jokes about my race, the declining infrastructure, and the gun alerts in my neighborhood. I am a language teacher now and life is vibrant, safe, and I am not treated like a third class citizen. China is a wonderful country and a safer place unlike what is portrayed on mainstream media.
Hmm, this is very interesting. There are many Vietnamese here in the States, that are very happy with their lives here in the US. I'm sorry you felt differently.
I felt exactly the same and I went to university in USA and worked there for a while but eventually I moved back to China. I didn’t want to feel like a third class citizen, and my country China is rising every day while in US everything is in decline.
I’m 3rd generation Singapore born Chinese. Our son has since moved back to our ancestral homeland in China to live and study.16 this year, incredible achievement in his studies. I will be retiring in 3 years time to live there. The future world is already here in China, you got to be there to experience it.
As an American, I believe that one of the biggest issues facing our country is a lack of appreciation for other cultures and countries. Many Americans are often closed-minded and fail to see the diversity and beauty that exists beyond our borders. While I know not all Americans share this mindset, it is a prevalent attitude that needs to be addressed. As I look towards becoming a future parent, I want to ensure that my children are raised with an open-minded and global perspective. Although financial constraints may limit our ability to travel and experience other countries, I am committed to exposing my future children to different cultures and fostering an appreciation for diversity. Despite any challenges that may come with raising children in the US, I am determined to do my best in providing them with a well-rounded and culturally aware upbringing.
Great words. I’m trying to teach to my teenager’s daughter the diversity of this wonderful world. As a single mom, I’m doing my best to travel and visit with my daughter one country a year. To show other cultures, to encourage to be curious for meeting new people, etc. I know, it’s not good for the environment… but I compensate somewhere else.
Yes, China is very safe. I'm a pure Chinese born in Malaysia, 3rd generation. Malaysia is good but nothing like in China my ancestor home. Now you really live the Chinese dreams and happy for you.
Apa Khabar ? My fellow Malaysian Chinese, I'm just like you, my grandparents (both side) migrate from China to Malaysia too. I think Malaysian Chinese know racism really well, the moment we were born, we were already a second-class citizens. If I were younger, I would move to China, but I have been living in US for too many years now, I'm witnessing the decaying of USA day by day, it's rotten from the core and it's sad.
The Chinese will never forget the contributions made by overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia during China's most critical period, will never forget the Nanqiao mechanics, and will never forget Mr. Tan Kah Kee.

Wholeheartedly agree. British guy here, 15 years in China, now raising my three little ones here. Safe, clean, and affordable environment here in Foshan. Nice to see a channel like mine sharing positive vibes about China! Most dangerous thing for me - too many goodies to eat!
UK is the stabbing capital of the world. Here in Australia, the trend is heading in UK direction plus Sudanese migrants and local feral kids carjacking and home invasion, turning into another south Africa.
I am Vietnamese, and I want to tell you: if your children are raised in China or Vietnam, when you get old you will be taken care of by your children, if you raise your children in America or In Europe and Japan, 80% of you will live alone or in a nursing home. Because the family culture of Vietnam and China is to respect teachers and take care of parents for generations
I am raising my kids in Shenzhen. We are Chinese. I travelled to almost all western countries and have done business with more than 50 countries' customers, I can say China is best place to raise the kids. And not only kids raising, in this more and more dangerous world, China is the last safe place to live.
the pollution is MUCH better than it used to be. there are many blue sky days. the worst of the pollution happens during the winter due to how they heat homes. on days that are polluted, we crank up the air purifiers and just stay indoors. but honestly, mostly every day we can go out!

Having lived in many countries around the world, the difference between the US and China is that, there's too much politicking in the US and not much work being done to improve the lives of the people. In China, there's no politicking and it's all work to improve the quality of life for its people.
Me too! Chinese kindergarten is awesome! We have our little girl enrolled in Break dancing, Boxing, Eloquence (which is Chinese speech presentation of poetry), Go (the board game), and skating. If you need some help in getting your kids signed up for anything, just give me a buzz. I can point you in the right directions.
I am from Singapore, i heard kindergarten in China learn to cook proper food. Is that correct? I do think it's a survival skills. My boyfriend cannot even cook instant noodles for me when i am super sick right after a surgery. His instant noodles was raw when served. Of course, he can order grab or go downstairs to buy some food but there is some differences.
I’m Chinese, but lived in the states for 12 years now. After my visit back to China last month, I decided to retire in China after my kid goes to college.
Amazing video, but let me add more for you; 12. Absence of drugs, gangs, gun violence, homeless people, maniacs and confused genders 13. Clean and healthy environment 14. Technological advancements in most sectors 15. Lots of beautiful natural scenery, tourists attractions and lots and lots of things to do.
16. No police brutality.. 17. Not inhuman, unaffordable health care system.. 18. No guns and stupid second amendment.. 19. No cultural war and political divisions.. 20. No need a car every time you ran out of milk and eggs.. LOL..
I am a pure Chinese. I admit that China may not be as free as your country, but it is really very safe. It is the safest country on the earth. I think freedom is relative. When your safety is not guaranteed, freedom will appear ridiculous. What is the meaning of freedom? Americans can freely ridicule and abuse their own president, and publicly criticize the government. Maybe people think this is freedom? Yes, I admit that we cannot achieve this, perhaps because we have no reason? Perhaps the reason is that most of us are just ordinary people, feeling the goodness and protection of our motherland. I only know that our country is very safe, the crime rate is not high, there are very few homeless people, and there are no worries about going out at one or two in the middle of the night. As long as we work hard, we can live a good life, which is enough for the vast majority of us. Why do foreign media continue to demonize China? I don't understand, and I don't want to understand now either. Wishing for world peace without war.
"Freedom" in the west hemisphere is just a deception. I'm not American but Mexican and my country always tries to imitate the USA with that democracy bullsh#t so we basically have the same problems, (well it's worse here to be honest, anyways). I don't want "freedom" to vote for a president and other politicians who don't really care at all about their citizens and the progress of the nation. What I actually want is to have the liberty of walking at the night and feel safe, I don't want to get robbed or have a gun in front of my face everytime I pass by the "wrong neighbourhood", etc. I really, really envy you Chinese people. Be proud of your country and your amazing culture despite all the lies the western media talks about you. Hopefully I'll visit China at least once in my life.
I think as same as you, but China still under dictature either you like it or not. I love Chinese culture and people, but after spending 10 years in Taiwan, a democracy country, I'd have left the exact same comment than yours. No hard feeling here, just trying to answer to your question... Here is why 😉
From my experiences, China is now a consumer paradise. Living in America, the middle class lifestyle is dying a slow death, especially with rising cost of living, rent increases, buying a house feels like extortion. Also: traveling, you can't go anywhere without a car, and you need car insurance if you want a car. Problems with your car? use your last paycheck to fix it. America stopped investing in the middle class a long time ago, the rich communities are closing itself off, leaving everyone else to fend for themselves.
Agree with you. I’m Thai who went to study in Oklahoma in the ‘90s. I can say that racism in the ‘90s was much less than present. And yes I had experience racism on the daily basis then but I was never attacked. You can imagine being Asian in the rednecked country, but I was only verbally abused. I’m now back in Thailand. When looking at the U.S., I feel blessed that I am back home now. And only when you’re outside, you can see how the western media has spread all the lies about China. Oh! one more thing that deters me to visit the U.S. again is their tipping culture. 😅😅
my heart breaks for you that you experienced racist remarks daily... you say you were never physically attacked, but words can hurt just as much. I grew up in the South so I can understand the mentality of some you saw in Oklahoma. I am glad you are healthy and happy now back home. sending light your way
This is perfectly normal, in the 1990s, Europe and the United States were in the last moment of the war dividend obtained by World War II, when the decline had not yet manifested, everyone still had money and felt that there was a bright future, but now the United States has used up all the dividends, there are signs of rapid decline, Americans have no money, they will feel that it is because immigrants have robbed their jobs and money. And then the racism came in
We have nice suburbs here. Come to Vermont, New Hampshire, or Upstate NY. The big cities are all about crimes and drugs. I think Paris, London, and Berlin are essentially the same.
@@miacastellon7290 Gun violence, mostly It depends on the city and state though. The countryside/ suburbs are safe enough. Urban areas after a certain time of day is unsafe if you are alone. You don’t want to be taking a walk at night during a riot/ protest/ looting spree There are a surprising amount of shootings in certain areas
Thanks for bringing up a topic that not too many vloggers that live in China talk about - racism. The US is an incredibly racist society and it’s not just white people that are racist, but black people as well! Being an Asian I experienced racism from both white and black people. I don’t want to get into too much details, but I have experienced racial slurs and threats coming from both white and black people here in the US.
Not surprising. I am from Australia and have heard of anecdotes from family members living in the U.S. of this racism from both whites and blacks against Asian minorities - mostly just because they "look Chinese" when they are of a different ethnicity.
Don’t you know that yellow people are fourth-class citizens in the United States? White people - black people - Latinos - yellow people, so it is normal for black people to discriminate against you 🤣
What a shame. The very race, Black Americans, that experience extreme racism daily projects racism on another group of visible minories. Smh at America. That country is out of control. Every empire comes to an end, and it's this broken nation's time. America is unfixable at this point in history.
Black racism is pretty much nonexistent. You can see the significant representation of their race in the media, Hollywood, commercials, schools, workplaces, and sports for a group that only comprises about 13% of the US population. However, racism against Asians is on the rise, whether through affirmative action against students, diversity quota hiring, or just using everyday derogatory words, jokes, and stereotypes. Discriminatory behavior towards Asians is still tolerated, accepted, and often overlooked in the public domain.
I've lived in the US for 20 years, and I plan to move to China after I retire. The public safety in the U.S. is too poor, you can get robbed at any time, and it could cost you your life. And, there are too many homeless people in the city, streets are dirty, and nobody manages the situation. The US has become an unsuitable place to live.
Also, here in America (USA), Nobody CARES!! Here in America, people could care less about their Neighbors. In the USA, your neighbors might even be Happy if Something Bad happens to You!
@@houlej19 Chinese people are generally curious about events happening around them, and if you ask for help, they are usually willing to assist their neighbors. They typically don't take pleasure in others' misfortunes, especially if they have no personal grudge against you. 中国人是看热闹,只要你说,一般还会帮助邻居。一般不会幸灾乐祸,他又和你没仇。
the strongest country is USA. People always talk about transportation… i mean… if you love transportation system, go to Japan, good air quality, and you don’t be monitored by government, And you can freely say what you want.
I have heard that if there is one city in Sweden that is dangerous it is Malmo and then Stockholm. Rise in gangs, mostly of Islamic origin, and use of Molotov cocktails, grenades, or explosive weapons and gun related violence has started to shoot us as well.
Sadly Sweden letting in all those immigrants has less to Sweden being the rape capital of Europe at one point, hopefully things are being managed well by the police
@@gappergob6169 To me, the lowest common denominator is US Imperialism, as 7 year old gulf war started ad 8-9 years old refugees came, and since then the waves is related with wars often with USA involved... However it's also true that Swedish population by ourselves will shrink and to maintain the society we need people to come here. However the integration since late 80s is non existing and that was big and still is huge mistake.
Singaporean here. Spent 6 months in China earlier this year. Intending to go China. China is safe and developing fast. China is not what the West paints her to be. I really hope westerners visit China to see her for yourself. Yes, you may not like China at the end, but at least experience China for yourself and see what is on the ground there. For me, I feel China has overtaken Singapore in many ways, and many of my fellow Singaporeans still think China is nothing much but a country of run down villages....

The western medias only report negative sides of China. On the other hand, most RUclipsrs and TickTockers only post positive sides of China. It’s quite difficult for your foreigners to know the real China. You said China has overtaken Singapore,I don’t totally agree with you. What most of you guys talk about are just big cities like Beijing and Shanghai .China is a huge country, these cities can’t represent China.China still has some problems, she’s not perfect. For example, the average personal quality of Chinese from the mainland China are worse than that of people from HK,Taiwan and Singapore. I’m still a college student. I’ve travelled numerous cities in the mainland China. And I‘ve also travelled to HK and Russia.Definitely I will travel round the world and see the world myself.Singapore is obviously an ideal tourist destination, which is civilized, clean and beautiful.

Singaporean here too. I've went to china on self planned trips multiple times since way before covid and I certainly agree with you that china is more advanced than SG. Especially making payments via WeChat/alipay is so convenient in china and the stores there can just scan our qr code and direct deduct the correct amount, as compared to us in sg having to scan the store's qr code and mistakenly paying extra at times via paylah. Or even banking apps being down several times and we can't make payment lololol. The fact that my china fren has not seen physical cash in years when I wanted to pay her back was an eye opener to me. China even has cities that specialize in niche technologies in which the govt provide subsidies so that the city excel in that area. I do find it a shame that our younger generation and even my frens am unable to speak or read mandarin well these days.

safety is a primary concern for parents. No drugs abuse and gun violence in China. Also it is particularly for women. They can pursue their career or interests with affordable help by having ah yi (helpers) to look after their kids whereas in western countries, it is not easy to do so and mums are often tied down with housework and have to take the children everywhere they go.

I think it's not cultural for Japanese to place elders in nursing homes. They must've adopted this practice from the West, especially from the US. Japan is after all an Asian country rooted in Confucian where filial piety is very important. S Koreans might go the same way. They seem to have no qualms adopting elements of western culture without giving proper thought and time and has somehow carved an identity in which they seem to revel. I think it is unnatural for humans to place elders in a nursing home. This practice must be a modern one and I'm not in favour of it.
I'm Australian. I lived and taught in America for 13 years and left because of how unsafe the country is now, especially in schools. I went back to Australia for a year, but the cost of living and the school system there is out of control, so I'm also here in China. China, a human civilization with a history of more than 5,000 years and nearly 6,000 years, has developed to the present day with extremely high moral standards. Chinese people have a high respect for all races and do not have all kinds of racism and racial hatred like in the United States. From this point of view alone, China is the future of mankind, not the United States, not to mention China's infrastructure and the development of technology that benefits the people. When the Western media constantly smear China, they think that the Chinese people do not know, in fact, the Chinese people have always been aware of the Western media's selfishness and depravity, but the Chinese people's choice is to forgive and ignore. Because when a person continues to do evil, one day the retribution will come to him.

Totally agree with you Rose. I live in Australia, honestly, Australia is safer than the States, but people still don't walk at night. Cost of living in Australia is terrible too right now.
It costs more to live in China than it does to live in the USA right now. It might seem cheaper but the electric meters double-charge, gas meters run even when nothing is used, water meters double-charge. Income is very low. No one older than 35 years old is even considered for employment. You only think it's safe because the government suppresses all crime statistics - a trend which is increasing in the USA as well following the defund-the-police movement.
Australia is safer than China. Just a fact. Negligent manslughter off the charts in China. Awful cancer rate survival. Nowhere near same life expectancy, health of citizens better in Aus, no forced camps, pollution way worse in China, food standards worse….. Anyway I could go on and on.
@@clearheaded5696 What's a night-time economy for? To work another 8 hours a day? Markets are just middle-men between producers and consumers. Only the producers increase wealth in a society. Overpopulated regions can have night markets because overcrowding on the streets can be reduced by people using streets at different times of day.
agree with you and China for sure has problems but safety is the most important thing for anyone in this world. As a Chinese we are really satisfied with how safe is our living environment. We don’t want to be flattered but to be recognized as what the real China is, good or bad. I subscribed your channel for you’re telling the truth to the world and secondly you are so beautiful ❤ 😂 I like you
My perception of China changed after I came here! China is such an amazing country, and I’m seriously considering it as an option for settling down and working. I’m currently in Tianjin, not far from Beijing, and I love it here! I wish I could learn the language a bit better-that’s the only challenge I’m facing. Everything else has been pretty amazing. And yes, China is a very safe country, and the locals are so respectful and curious about foreigners. It’s common here to meet a local who is so friendly that they’ll invite you for a meal right away. I was amazed by the warmth and hospitality of the people. As for kids, they are incredibly polite and well-mannered. I teach some kids English, and I can tell they are definitely getting the right education, either at school or from their families.
You are amazing and so is your family. Thank you for bringing the truth of life in China. Your kids will be multi-cultural when they grow up and it’s definitely the right choice to raise your kids in the Rising Superpower country. China has so much to offer
It is definitely still a rising economy. What I appreciate about your country and people is that you guys worked and still work hard to make the country be so prosperous as well as improve your quality of life at the same time. And one more thing, but not less important, all Chinese people I have met so far are nice and friendly people. Greeting from Serbia 👋
@@milosv7067 All you said is true our Serbian friends! The High Speed train between Serbia and Hungary built by China is about to operate soon! Yes we are still rising but China is so much ahead of USA in terms of Infrastructure (China has 40000km of high speed rail while USA has 0 ) , airports, highway, public safety, convenience, Electrical Vehicles , Solar Power, cashless society, Space Exploration, Ship building, Total electricity generation and now even Life Expectancy . the Total INDUSTRIAL output of China equals USA, Japan , Germany and South Korea COMBINED.
@@alexpan8138 That's true. A part of that high-speed train/railway already operates. By the end of the year the entire Serbian part Belgrade-Budapest will operate. I'm trying to keep myself informed about the growth in China, but I'm not sure what sources are reliable.
I was born and raised in china until 13 years old. Then my family and I moved to USA for almost 30 years now....When I look back, I am glad I went to school in China. If I have a kid now, I will definitely send the kid to china for school.

Natural disasters do also happen in China. However, rescue teams like PLA often arrive within few hours and it is impossible for any place to be out of electricity for one month or even one week. Otherwise, people will be very angry. I have to say some Chinese are a little bit childlish because they are taken too good care of by the Chinese government.

100% agree. Between living in Shenzhen, HK and Shanghai for 11 years, I’ve seen China (specifically Mainland) developing so rapidly and the safety factor alone is why I love living in China.

Was in Biloxi for Katrina, specifically to film Katrina. The storm surge was massive 27.8 feet in Waveland. Life after Katrina was hard for a long time. Don't blame for relocating one bit. We moved from Pensacola to west coast of Florida. Where Hurricanes are less frequent. Been here 3 years and already had 3 Hurricane Warnings. There is no escape from them in Florida. Wow, as an aging american who' lived in HK and beijing and china and singapore and asia since the 90's, after living 40 years stateside... I'd say don't be anxious about coming here. I came to Canada when I was in grade 9, then went to high school. High school was brutal, most people did not want to look at me let alone being friends with me, as if getting close to me would lower their status. I’m still traumatized now, and I can’t talk about it, cause if I do, people would say why don’t you go back to your country. If I were to spend my high school days differently, I would hang out with other Asian kids more, instead of trying to fit in to a circle that did not welcome me. I’ll definitely keep my options open in the future.

To be honest, in primary and secondary schools in China, teachers' words are more persuasive than parents'. After college students become adults, they no longer respect their teachers as much as they did when they were young, so Chinese university teachers have the least authority.

China has a different culture. I don't know how to describe it. It is a popular culture with a strong tendency towards egalitarianism. No matter how big the gap between the rich and the poor is, everyone believes that it is the best state for everyone to have a place to live, everyone is safe, and everyone is rich. In Chinese, it is called "world peace". This seems to be different from the situation in the West. My understanding is that Westerners seem to agree that there will always be some people who can exploit others.
I live in Beijing too! been here for 6 years, although I feel like there are definitely more comfortable cities in China to live in, Beijing is too big for my taste. But meeting people from everywhere in the world is SO TRUE! it's amazing!
it's funny that at the same, middle class Chinese, especially those in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen are selling their apartments just to leave China to live in North America, Canada, New Zealand...

@@xu1244 You go Malaysia and Singapore, it's like China cities and towns in both countries. Why? Migration. Even Australia used to ve Caucasian town and now look like Asian city.
He later said "It doesn't matter whether the cat is black or white as long as it catches mice."
He was referring to the style of government, regardless democratic or communist, it must improve the lives of its people.
I am so happy to see a prosperous and vibrant China, the land of my forefathers.
That's very emotional and heart warming story, thank you for sharing, thank you for not giving up and forgetting your root.
Thank you so much, and welcome to China.
I don't normally read comments this long, but I read yours 👍
There are a lot of things that happen behind the scenes that the average person don't see.

Blacks are more racist towards Asians
Don’t you know that yellow people are fourth-class citizens in the United States? White people - black people - Latinos - yellow people, so it is normal for black people to discriminate against you
🤣
Articulated so well about what you feel. Great talk!

I have also visited Sweden and agree with you!
Unfortunately, Sweden start importing "the usual suspects". And somehow people blaming it on Muslim instead seeing the common denominator 😂
@@gappergob6169 To me, the lowest common denominator is US Imperialism, as 7 year old gulf war started ad 8-9 years old refugees came, and since then the waves is related with wars often with USA involved... Or even banking apps being down several times and we can't make payment lololol. The fact that my china fren has not seen physical cash in years when I wanted to pay her back was an eye opener to me.

safety is a primary concern for parents. No drugs abuse and gun violence in China. Also it is particularly for women. They can pursue their career or interests with affordable help by having ah yi (helpers) to look after their kids whereas in western countries, it is not easy to do so and mums are often tied down with housework and have to take the children everywhere they go.

Zhongguo must be an awesome place to live. Thanks for the informative video. Xie Xie ni.
Thanks for the insights. We will be moving to Southern China this August bringing 2 toddlers, we are anxious about everything.
Wow, as an aging american who' lived in HK and beijing and china and singapore and asia since the 90's, after living 40 years stateside... I'd say don't be anxious about coming here. Rather, be anxious about having to go back, lol. Of course there will be some temporary adjustments at first, especially for me from a totally different culture and language. Now I feel Asian and I prefer it here and hope to stay & be buried here. The world is changing (sad).
Chinese people are always friendly ❤ especially foreigners. anyone who knows Chinese language I think china is the best place to live.
There is a young Australian woman of Polish descent in Sydney, Australia who visits China as often as possible as she loves it there. She speaks Chinese (putonghua - the common language, mandarin) fluently and goes by the name of Amy Lyons. She has her own RUclips vlog channel called, "Blondie in China" and she takes her viewers to some of the most amazing places around China.
是时候回到自己的祖国了
在中国开车自驾也是出行一种热门方式,因为中国有比美国更优质的高速公路网络,各种公路桥梁隧道甚至海底隧道跨海大桥四通八达

I’ve seen your video in the video channal in WeChat, someone put your video on the site, she talks about your video and said that your point of view is amazing, well of course it is❤❤❤ You have listed all the goods and main points and also the caution points in China, me as a Hong Kong citizen love it, I’m also Chinese❤ hope to see you one day in China
awwwww so happy to hear you love it! really means so much. I didn't know someone posted it with their commentary, that's so cool! I'm sending lots of love from Beijing, hope to see you too!
I've lived in China for 11 years, and every time I go back to my country of birth (Australia) I know why I'm still here.
oh wow interesting
What's so bad about Australia. I have Australia in one of the good countries list.
i still remember katrina after all these years, even though i live in canada, it was huge news here in canada also.
after the storm, my parents and I were driving around New Orleans and they told me to look out the window and take it all in because I was witnessing history. Such a wild thing to live through
Katrina showed the whole world how backward America was...and getting worse from then on.
@@beeroseinchina I lived in Metairie, LA when Hurricane Katrina happened! I think I was 11 at the time.
My family was homeless for a few weeks when we decided to evacuate to Texas. We slept in shelters, trailer parks, and motels.
During the “Great Evacuation,” some of my friends slept in the Super Dome, which had been turned into a giant shelter at the time. For some reason, I remember being slightly jealous of them lol
Thank you very much. Could you please make a video about medicine and the apartment prices?
I agree with all your points 100%. It's now the Chinese dream!!! 😊
The Chinese don't just dream but they make the dream come true in action. Dreams that remain dreams are just illusions and plain aspirations.

Beautiful description of life in China. Very moving. To tears. I like what you are saying!
I used to the go Palm Springs for the hot Springs, this old guy chatted with me, he said his son had gone missing, he was biking as an adult and he had gone missing from Rural America, he pointed out some caution, he reminded me to put a no trespassing sign at my house for protection, he said he spends his days still searching for his son, what ever happen with him, I just wish he finds peace, the old man was a teacher and he was a good man in his old age, he was still wondering what on earth happen to his beloved son
That's so sad😢😢😢😢

Traditionally, in China, teachers rank almost as high as parents, sometimes even higher. This is a very good thing.
To be honest, in primary and secondary schools in China, teachers' words are more persuasive than parents'. After college students become adults, they no longer respect their teachers as much as they did when they were young, so Chinese university teachers have the least authority.
Meanwhile in America, teachers are overworked and underpaid
Guys, in China your neighbors don't have super weapons, they just have bonsai
@user-mz9cm7pi8c it is a sign of peace. Sushi is now in the West as Hambuger
@user-mz9cm7pi8c the origin of bonsai (pencai) is from China. Its sinosphere culture japs learnt from.
🤣hhhhhh
@user-mz9cm7pi8cThis word is japanese word, but it you search it in Wikipedia. It will tell you and the culture originated from China. Japanese adapted(To be not a very big adaption)
Anyway, so japanese introduce this word to the world, So even when you want to describe the chinese thing, you also use this english word.😂
LMAO 😂
You're wonderful. I'm in China after living almost 30yrs in the U.S.. I can understand exactly what you talked about, like Katrina, what it's like before vs now in the U.S, ... Hope we can connected online. Also, I hope your videos can bring the mutual understanding between American and Chinese people. Thank you!
Wow, nice video topic! Great job, it seems to be a popular sentiment recently

Well said! I moved from Switzerland to the US at first with a big dilemma, and after living here for the last 20 more years I felt regret. That was all about children, in the US they have more room but also more risky. We don't know where they'll come home after a day working or not?
You'd think that after 20yrs you would notice. But in the US, you have to create and provide that safety for yourself, and for everything else too.
Why would you move from Switzerland to US. This shows even heaven becomes boring😂
I already recommend many foreign friends of watching your vedio, and shared the link to them. I hope foreigners can hold a right view on china sociaty and current situation. 3Q for your vlog.
