    Magnus humor is on par with his chess skill, he said the reason he didn’t promote to queen because he can’t find queen piece, so he just grab the nearest piece and that was the knight 😂

      You have to watch out for finesses in ostensibly simplified and drawn endgame setups. There was a lot of finesses in this game. Magnus Carlsen was counting on that.

    Amazing coverage of this game. I need these stalemates explained to me... Why would queen + Bishop be a stalemate?

    • @yaa40
      @yaa40 11 месяцев назад +2

      A stalemate happens in the following scenarios:
      1. Insufficient materials (cannot generate a checkmate with the pieces on the board)
      2. The person who's turn it currently is cannot make a move.
      [hopefully I did not miss another scenario].
      This falls into the 2nd one of the above, watch the video a 2nd time, it is explained well in it.

    • @yaa40

    rubbish chess bishop never backs off on knight. even at 16:58 pawn a5 to a6 pressure on the knight..this is why chess at this level is fake it no hard hitters.. people want a nice dumb game no wonder carlson left the mainstream chess..the battlefield is brutal it not pretty chess is no different to winning.. it not some nice cozy game piece for piece all rubbish how chess is presented. it's a war. get battle prepped take no prisoners 1 weakness is game over

      Magnus is the greatest endgame player of all time. He's played 100+ legendary endings, this is good but countless others stand over but whatever. It doesn't matter :)

    • @epicchess2021
      @epicchess2021  10 месяцев назад +1

      Don’t follow, if you pay for ad free then why do you get shown mid roll ads? Secondly, ads are just auto placed by RUclips in the middle of videos as a default setting if you’re video is over 8 mins long so I dunno why you’re popping off at the creator. On some videos I place then selectively at better moments and on others I just leave auto placed. Confused by your beef , 2/10 comment

      @@epicchess2021I think he meant your sponsor ad at around 12 minute. I usually skip those parts because its usually not related to the video or it’s not interesting, but your’s was quite cool and still in the realm of chess world which is pretty nice considering that you are a chess channel.
      I do think your timing for the sponsor ad was a bit annoying because it’s in the middle of the recap, especially on the part which is the most interesting. I think the least annoying ad readout would be after the recap.
