    6:23 wow! That queen sacrifice really paid off. Two bishops and a pawn are worth more than one queen because two pieces can attack on two lanes, queen cannot! Ok, point wise 7 is less than 10 but with that extra pawn grab, it's 8 vs 10 and two attackers plus 2 extra pawns. I'd call that equal really. That is some wild coordination of all the pieces to be able to get that option. I've never seen that till this video. You probably could play the King's Indian defense for decades and never get the chance to pull that off.

    I like the thorough explanation of all the potential lines. I don't like looking this deep into games but when someone does it for me it's pleasant
    Like I've never realized until now that preparations for games at the top level players plan out an entire game. Must be exhausting. Losing after such preparation must really hurt. I feel like I can't breathe thinking of the intense effort put into this. Like an artist having to paint a masterpiece every single time and the smallest mistake can ruin the whole painting
    At that point it's not even fun anymore. I wonder what motivates a player to put himself through such mental pressures. It's a real war trying to be the best

    at 5:28 when black knight captures bishop with knight why cant white just take it with the king? white knight is protecting h3 so a folowup check by bishop or queen is not possible and queen is still under attack by white bishop.

    Can you add players images

    • @polarvortex3294
      @polarvortex3294 Месяц назад +2

      Seems like a good idea, even if it might be hard to find pictures of some of the more obscure chess players. But I fear that if he added pictures, we might lose some of the interesting quotes and info that we get now. So maybe he could display some player pictures and alternate them with the quotes & info. Or show pictures and quotes at the same time. Or start with some pictures and then transition to the quotes. He could thus find out, by subtle experimentation, which arrangement seems to work the best.
      But I do hope, for my own selfish reasons, that he never changes too much. I feel that right now this is the classiest and most thoughtful of all the chess channels, with the wisdom that it's named for and a respect for the great players and innovators of old. There's nothing else quite like it.
