Excelling at Fischer Random, by my account, can also point to perhaps an underlying creativity unique from Magnuses. Perhaps if chess had gone in the direction Fischer wanted, we may have a different world champion. I have no actual idea though, maybe Magnus just wasn't putting his all into it like he might put into "real" chess games.

Instead of increments, the clocks should run very fast at first, and slow down a tiny bit at each move. This would force the openings to be looser, and allow the endgames to be a little more thoughtful. It's just a shame to see interesting games lost on time.

Very similar but I think bongcloud main line is 1.e4 followed by 2. Ke2. I should have mentioned the Bongcloud themes, completely forgot.
Just found this here haha: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bongcloud_Attack
'Despite its obvious disadvantages, usage of such a "joke" opening can also have a psychological impact: following Carlsen's win over Wesley So in a 2020 blitz tournament with a 3+2 time control where Carlsen played 1.f3 (the Barnes Opening) followed by 2.Kf2 (a variant also named the "Bongcloud"[8][9], though this is more a pseudo-Bongcloud than a purist's Bongcloud), So noted that losing the game after such an opening had a crushing impact.[2]'

Magnus Carlsen is not focusing on mastering specials... He is a Pawn Master.. That is the reason why no chess players focuses on Pawn moves.
