- A lot has been going on in the crypto/web3 industry lately, which begs the question: is now a good time to learn blockchain development? Is blockchain development worth it? Should you become a blockchain developer? The answer is...
Absolutely! And as luck would have it, AlgoExpert just launched BlockchainExpert, an unrivaled platform to learn blockchain development and to become a Blockchain Engineer. Check it out here: www.algoexpert...

Prepping for coding interviews or systems design interviews? Practice with hundreds of video explanations of popular interview questions and a full-fledged coding workspace on AlgoExpert - www.algoexpert.io - and use the promo code "clem" for a discount on the platform!
I hope you're all as excited about blockchain/crypto/web3 as I am! If you are, check out BlockchainExpert here: www.algoexpert.io/blockchain
I am scared didn't you know that git is enough to build Block chains? Including smart contracts via hooks lol
I hope you not removing my comment again dear clement~~
@Clément Mihailescu you excitement is legit because a new course will generate $$$ to algoexpert otherwise no reason for any excitement to you.

LOL imagine spending months building a blockchain course only to have the bubble pop right before the course release. 😂
😂 Perfect timing, am I right? But there's no better time to get into this space than during a bear market. Now's the time when the winners of the future are made! 💪
@@clem yes lose even more no thanks
@@clem Yes, that is true.
Always double down. ~ every bankrupt gambler ever
Wait for “this time it’s different” 😂
Crypto is a single use case of blockchain and shouldn't be used as the only measure for the technologies importance. Learning blockchain development extends past cryptocurrencies, obviously defi is the main job source right now, but there are many other areas the tech is expanding into. Look at IPFS or the Graph, blockchain is here to stay even if cryptocurrencies aren't.
I Hope you learn more about hashes this ist a shame i deleted my Abo Bye clem was a nice time.
be very cautious taking advice from what is basically an ad.
real advice: imagine what you want to build -> then learn the tools needed to build it. don't learn a technology just because it might become big. IF and only if your vision requires decentralization, then go learn it.
@Jalal Mitali Almost a decade after it has been invented, I've yet to see an actual use of blockchain technology that is not scamming people.
This video came just the week of the collapse of FTX, after the Luna-Terra disaster and after the collapse of Celsius and Voyager. Great timing.
I've watched 2 videos of this dude (his dumb ranking of programming languages and this ad) and I've come to the conclusion that he is an idiot.
@Jalal Mitali TechLead is a scammer
@Jalal Mitali ok
@Jalal Mitali Im no expert, but certainly blockchain will be part of the software landscape in the future. I can't predict cryptocurrencies though.
Sounds like a fantastic course Clement 😉
sounds like a conflict of interest
This is a hard sell after all that happened with FTX.
Hard conflict of interest. Borderline unethical.
Not a fan of you telling people to go into web3 when neither you nor Tim have made any money from developing Web3 apps.
If you and Tim have developed a few real world Web3 applications that have generated substantial income, please correct me.
This is the same Clement who made a systems design course while he was still an L3 at Google, so it's not exactly strange that he'd be teaching stuff he doesn't know about lol
Not biased at all, trying to sell your course. I would highly, highly discourage any web2 dev transition into web3, as someone in web3.
why/
ur just mad u didn't start off learning web3 with this amazing course!
@@lycan2494 LOL the entire web3 space is dead and filled with scams. I have worked with several web3 startups they all fail. Stick to traditional fullstack web development.
@@Ramin2340 thats cap my guy. ur just hating on clement lmaoo
@@lycan2494 nothing to do with clement. you're just a guy that has zero experience and will fail.
Crypto is never to take off. Just watch the news and see how many loose their money investing in crypto. Besides, the goverments will never let crypto be the main coin over the dollar.
Who cares whether crypto booms or bust???? In computing terms Blockchain is basically database, a distributed, resilient and temper proof database which is revolutionary while crypto currency or coins are just data structure....blockchain chain is the underlay while currency built on to of it are just overlays and overlays are virtual while underlay is tangible and real physical force behind that virtual overlay...this is just a mere fact....shunning blockchain coz of volatility in crypto market is ridiculous....it is analogous to saying that “ internet must be halted, since dot net has been crashed”
what would be your opinion if you weren't gonna launch this course? I think it would be different.
I've been all in in this space since 2017. This course has nothing to do with my conviction about the space.
"Now it's a good time to become a blockchain engineer because I just launched a course on it"
Sounds like a neo gold rush but ok, I'll trust the man selling picks and shovels.
is there any discount for people who are already members and have all the other courses?
I understand decentralization's and cryptography's hypothetical and theoretical benefits, but I haven't really seen anything realizing this in practice yet. Seems like its not that easy as it sounds in theory, but somehow this has to move forward too.
True. And if anyone is able to pull it off the payoff could be huge
@@marcusaureliusregulus2833 It's been very clear now that decentralization and absence of regulation are just the two main ingredients for huge scams. Crypto bros have just rediscovered why banks were regulated 120 years ago.
There is nothing to pull off here, the whole crypto craze was a pipedream that came in reaction to the 2008 financial crash and it's now clear that the actors of the crypto sphere are even worse than the 2008 bankers. They just wanted to be able to pull off the same sort of scams as those bankers.
Bought BlockchainExpert, would love to see some more advanced content around Smart Contract Auditing, Smart Contract Security, Gas Optimization and Upgradable smart contracts which would definitely be of much help in my Blockchain Dev journey!
How is it?
@@samirzafar I am just in the middle of the course. Seems like good coverage of the basics, but most likely it won't make you ready to use blockchain developer.
not participating in the cycle of exploitation no matter how lucrative it is. software engineers grow a spine challenge
FTX is "decentralized", look what their investors got. And LUNA Terra, the list goes on. The so called decentralization is totally bs.
I think its always a good time to learn new skills and build creative technology.
This is the last Clément video I will click on. If blockchain technology becomes actually relevant and not simply a waste of resources, then I may change my mind.
Congrats on the release of BlockchainExpert! I’ll definitely be going through it myself soon 😀
How's your feedback so far Conner? 😄😉
Sounds scammy
manipulative
The card tricks are back 🥳
Unfortunately there won’t be any jobs for a long time
What if I am a beginner and had made my mind to become a normal Fullstack Dev,what am I suppose to do?
You can never go wrong starting as a full stack dev imo, it will allow you to learn about the industry and then specialize in machine learning, iot, or Blockchain if that's your thing. I personally wouldn't go into Blockchain just yet given all the scandals and changes that are bound to come to the industry in terms of new regulations.
I'd say keep going with full-stack. "Web3" is just full-stack development (being front-end and back-end) using JS libraries to help create Single Page Applications, and then implementing a way to connect your wallet to the site. It's just the current technology, but trying to shove in crypto.
The current web technologies aren't going anywhere. "Web3" is just the current web, but with more modern UX designs. (since SPOs are easier to make now with some of the "new" JS libraries)
Even if crypto/blockchain takes off the way people think "Web3" will, being a full-stack developer gives you ~90% of the skills you'd need to develop those applications. Since after you learn the web technologies, all you really need to learn after that is Solidity to write Smart Contracts.
Signed up for AlgoExpert a month ago and I would like to thank Clement for bringing to us a great tool in preparing for a coding job interview as a job seeker
I wish AlgoExpert company come out another product that focuses on databases (maybe Database Expert) that covers more advanced topics that are relevant to the job market:
- Database Normalization
- Database Transaction
- Database Backups
- Database Replications
are you willing to answer some questions.
Not gonna lay, I had a feeling something like BlockchainExpert would be getting announced in this video.
Algoexpert has become quite the platform. Good stuff!
Its funny everyone in the comments saying shit like "this time is gonn be different" to make fun of crypto. But yall be the same ppl that hear from your granpa that bitcoin is up and you cry, then when it crashes and you still ain't rich be like "i knew i was right"
hey, I am from Israel & it looks like the course there cost 74$ during the Black Friday sale. I changed my geolocation to US, UK, Germany, Spain & other countries, and the price there is 36$ during the same sale. WTF????????? Do you have something against Israel?
IMO, if you find yourself as one of these blockchain engineers, once the major ORMs are built, you are then out of a job.
how the fuck is this video only with 348 likes after 12 days?! people do not know not know what good information is
😂😂😂 cool magic trick
hi when i want to buy with promo code, i found that it can not use, can tell me why ?
I am a little confused about your courses.... are they going to make me competent to design and develop blockchain code/systems, or just reviewing skills to pass an interview assuming I already pursued the education? You do not provide any real way to contact your company from your website.
BlockchainExpert is a blockchain-development course--not an interview-prep product. So it will teach you the skills to become a blockchain developer--not those to pass technical interviews. Most of our other products are interview-prep products.
Do i also get access to blockchain expert if i purchase the "tech interview prep bundle"?
does Algoexpert bundle gives you the access to Blockchain course?
what should ilearn before blockchain development?
did this guy used to stream wow on a channel called frenchy
Extreme decentralization is Moloch.
Blockchain is garbage
no u
@enteprenium1 who is this?
Visual representation of competitors was pretty good haha!
I’m so glad you created a course!!!
this sounds like an April fools
It's revolutionary in that you'll eventually get scammed, like in any other system, only in a more sophisticated way, no matter whether you use centralized, decentralized, or self custody.
Also, you're not early in this if you're starting now, and it will require huge effort to become a blockchain engineer really worth his salt.
Furthuremore, if you're not willing to become a hacker, the black hat type, you will be missing out anyway in this field.
So funny to watch it in 2024
You think blockchain dev is over?
Love that the options are expanding, it’s really useful to have all the interview prep you’ll ever need in one spot. Now just need mobile expert 🙏
As much as I wanted to jump onto the hype and agree with the core philosophy , the government still has an iron grip on blockchain because they have an iron grip on its users , they can send any exchange packing tomorrow if they want, its a sad reality.
As much as people hate mega-corporations, the future of blockchain and perhaps even the future of civilization depends on these large bodies becoming autonomous from any government, once that happens the government control over blockchain dies, the idea of human tribalism , the idea of racist-ultranationalism dies but then we also enter the scary era where nothing is true and everything is permitted.
Humanity is at a crossroad where it needs to change its financial system in some way or sink as the malfunctioning clusterf that is global economy about to slow to a halt due to the consequences of intervention. However after Luna, NFTs , FTX and various hacks I'm no longer convinced blockchain is the answer: Blockchain assumes capitalism is good and yet governments can only keep capitalism running by constant anti-capitalist regulations. And on top of it all there is the nightmare scenario where governments gain CBDCs and would force everyone to use these. (and these are allegedly already in development).
Show us the way rA9 , you are our only hope.
Man, everyone is desperate to gaining money so they can invest in this bear market. Clement is no exception lol. Crypto prices are in discount.
Possibly for another decade. The dream of trusting a system that keeps defrauding users is still a long way out. The irony is that the major players left are hoping for a centralized power like the US to step in and regulate it.
Bitcoin, not crypto.
?
Cryptcoin, not bitbo.
pointless comment honestly
There is a "whatsappme" user phishing around. Block him please @Clément
