I love how Matt brought Liam into this video just to confuse him because he knows so little about the Punisher, either that or this is the equivalent of Matt bringing Liam along on a hunting trip to make him a man and stray away from his moe animes. I guess this was a good enough alternative solution.
The reason Kingpin is a stupidly powerful physical opponent is simple, he looks fat, but guess what, it's not fat, it's all muscle, all of it. He is basically a walking tank made from muscles.
@@ultraspinalki11 It's comics, so really, who knows? I think his main threat part though is that he runs a criminal empire, his being unrealistically overly muscled is just a bonus.
Nothing against black Nick Fury, but I miss the ol white Nick Fury, mainly cause I remember his comics where he was just sittin in a room going over old spy stories while their was a gun sitting on his desk and the whole he was going on he was contemplating committing SUICIDE. That in itself was dark and edgy and I LOVED IT.
John Kramer well now you had to go and hurt feelings. although i don't disagree with your opinion but in this day an age you have to expect that response anytime you use the word "edgy" to describe a character.
Remember the time The Punisher went back in time to stop himself from being born and teamed up with a highly intelligent velociraptor that had a rocket launcher arms.
Bullseye has been Joker level of crazy for a long time. He is probably my favorite bad duder in all of marvel. There was a comic where the Punisher pulls the pin from a grenade and from like 50ft away bullseye throws his tooth pick into the pin hole before the Punishers throws it. Then picks up the grenade, repulls the pin and tosses to the Punisher. Stupidest shit ever, I LOVE IT.
My favorite moment was in Marvel vs DC where Batman threw a batarang at Bullseye and the caught it. Batman was so shook he wasn't ready for Bullseye to throw it back at Robin and damn near take his head off.
I don't think Punisher and Wolverine actually get along together... especially after that time Punisher blew his face off with a shotgun and ran him over with a steamroller.
Theory: In order for Frank Castle so stay semi-sane, he created an alter ego. That Frank soon became Matt McMuscle of the Best Friends Zaibatsu. Matt dons the Punisher skull on his head, unaware that when witnessing a crime unfold, so does the beanie: into a ski mask, which allows Frank/Matt's vigilante justice to go on.
I don't know much about comics but in the 1994 Spider-Man cartoon Kingpin was one of my favorite villains, he was the hypest motherfucker with an awesome voice actor.
Matt clearly hasn't read a lot of non-Ennis Punisher comics if he thinks guys like Bone Breaker aren't appropriate Punisher villains. Punisher fights the stupidest shit all the time.
Remember that time puisher was fighting The Russian, Spidey popped in and got knocked out, only to be used as a human shield by The Punisher? When he woke up after the fight, he asked Punisher what happened, to which he answered: "We teamed-up. You did great!".
Remember that time the punisher encountered a midget mob with wolverine. And as a distraction he shoots wolverines face off and then his dick. Then wolverine gets pissed and smack the frankencastle out of him, and then find castles duffle bag filled with male models. True story.
oh man i used to play the shit out of this cabinet in the arcades, I once got with my best friend till the end by expending all our coins it was great, also i always thought Frank said HI AND LOW! during his special attack
Remember the time the Punisher wore a skull thong for the swimsuit issue? Why is no one talking about this? _Are they trying to erase it from history?_ Never, I say! ... he still looked super cool, admittedly.
The way that Frank Castle just grabs a battle axe off from a random thug and just start hacking away at people is pure bliss. It's like the guy just goes "We're in America BUT I'm gonna bring this battle axe anyways and there's no way this is gonna turn on us" and it just goes down south the worst way possible.
Matt always bashes on DC and especially Batman, reason being, Batman doesn't kill his villains, and yet, he loves Punisher, a guy who teamed up with Eminem to murder some kids' parents, blew up the moon, literally killed the Marvel universe including himself and all that other fun stuff. And remember that time, when Punisher never killed any of the popular Marvel villains, any of the Spider-man villains or X-Men villains for instance? Just like Batman never killed any popular DC villains? Yeah... Punisher really is great.
You know what's sad? After watching in bruges, I think Colin Farrell can actually pull off a crazy bullseye that would kidnap families and kill them just to be like the punisher. I would pay money to see a movie with that. Even with the Irish accent.
The whole thing with the punisher was the complete opposite of "didn't kill anyone" in fact he was less a super hero and more of a super serial killer who targeted criminals exclusively and killed them in horribly painful ways.
I like how in the Bone Breaker fight they say the should use the bomb jump move when the boss fires his missiles...and just after saying that, they just jump the missiles normally and don't even comment on it. The brightest of bulbs
I highly suggest to anyone who has not read punisher should read the Punisher MAX series. It's seriously one of my favorite comic runs of all time and it's well worth the money if there are any trades around. I will say though and SPOILERS I hate how Jason Aaron made Frank castle afraid of living and I shit you not he made Frank castle want to divorce his wife and away from his family on the same day they died. I just felt that was a huge bitch Slap to the Frank Castle character. Any way though still a great run
For those of us who have read Mother Russia, it's pretty awesome to watch Col. Fury and Frank kicking ass in perfect synchronization. *growls* "Hey Colonel, wanna help me punch the brains out of some scumbags?" *More Growls* "It was either that or pick a fight with another superior officer. Show me where the party is, Castle"
Frankencastle and most of the Punisher one shots, especially a Man named Frank, his back to school specials and the one where he has a crossover with Archie are pretty good places to start too, not for any specific canon knowledge but a great introduction to the concept as a whole.
I got into a fight on the bus back from school once, and the driver stopped *immediately.* he couldn't handle the excitement, I s'pose. Fkr kicked me off as well, I had to walk like 3 miles. Lol I love that Nick Fury's special is just "the belt" 😆
The comic Matt was talking about was Punisher Max from Jason Aaron. Might I also recommended Marvel Knights Daredevil for a great take on Bullseye. There he is basically the boogeyman who lives to screw with Matt Murdoch.
Is there any other comics you recommend cause I wanna get into punisher but idk which one caused I think that there are two different versions of him And I'm subscribed to your channel and the CBC
Ehhh, I have a problem with killing people just to get rid of problems, cause 8 times outta 10, killing someone results in someone somewhere getting mad and becoming as bad or even worse of a problem as the person you killed. It would be an endless cycle of hate and misery. One example is a guy from the Batman universe. I can't remember the guys name, but he grew up on the streets surviving and petty bandits were his family and they were killed right. In front of him by cops for no good reason, actually. He later becomes (insert name here) and is a cop killer with skills almost if not equal to that of the Batman himself and has come close to killing him on multiple occasions. So yeah, unless you want an endless cycle of bigger problems, don't go killing people, unless it is just purely for survival.
I believe that's promethious(sp???) and the only reason that scrublord is any good is cause he uses some bullshit cheat code device in his dumbass helmet to let him know how to fight everyone, it's the stupidest fucking shit which culminated in the epicly retarded DC event "gay for justice" ...or cry for jutice, it works either way
Prometheus is almost the villain equivalent of Batman. After watching his criminal parents get shot down by the police, he trained his body and mind to be in peak shape.
+DrDarkheart and then batman beats him by reprogramming his game genie bullshit helmet to give him the fight prowess of Steven Hawkings Or that time catwoman kicked his shit in cause he doesn't have cheat codes for bad guys. This assholes only strength is bad writting in his favor
Everyone always bags on Batman because he won't kill but all his villains are basically clinically insane and Batman wants to reform them not avenge his parents by killing them. All Batman stories revolve around him being Batman and not going into WHY and HOW he became Batman and how Bruce Wayne actually does use his wealth to try and help Gotham. I would like to see more stories like that but I know that it's not very interesting for some fans.
AngelicMissMarie But you see Batman has not realized that his publisher DC will never allow Joker and Scarecrow and others to get reformed so he might as well kill them rather than have them suffer from his beatings and anguish from staying in Arkham. Wont that cycle alone just make them worse?
Do not quote me on this, but I think I remember reading that the writers actually did base him off of Nick Fury. I'd buy it, the resemblance is uncanny
I love how Nick Fury has no business being in this game, but just goes along with it. He questions Frank's style of doing things, but doesn't give enough fucks to actually interefere lol
For all of you wondering what Matt was talking about regarding Punisher and Bullseye here you go: Bullseye Earth-200111 Shelton Pendergrass was a military lawyer who never used guns and left the army to become a lunatic hitman. He never fails to kill his targets like dictators and businessmen. Once he had to deal with kids in Italy who witnessed a gangland slaying on an outing, he gassed the whole school and the community was devastated. Before killing his targets he studies them well and he's not so glad about his job. He's employed by Kingpin to kill of the Punisher and notices that Fisk's wife is trying to kill her husband so he told her to run away and forget everything. He takes a family hostage after murdering its patriarch, and is shown cheerfully conversing with them at the breakfast table while they are bound, gagged, and crying. After taking the family out for a day at a local park, he has them brutally gunned down by several men. He then reveals that the entire kidnapping was an attempt at getting inside Frank Castle's mind, and tells the gunmen that he'll have to try again with another family and kill Frank's weapon supplier because he failed to understand Frank's motivation. He starts to get madder when he still doesn't comprehend why and ends up facing Castle at Fisk's tower. www.comicvine.com/bullseye/4005-4647/
I dont know why, but i really like it when they leave in things like "oh shit the door, better pause the game and get it, we'll take it out in the final video"
Matt will always be my favorite too. The dude can solo a video and still make it fun. Woolie will always have special place in my heart though. He's so lovable when he isn't lying or killing people.
One of the details I liked about this game is that if you're playing Nick Fury alone when an interrogation cutscene happens, he just tosses out a one-liner and knocks the goon out afterwards instead of executing them.
I love how somehow voice samples became a thing in video games from the late 80's to the early 90's, but most of them were unintelligible, even on the vastly superior arcade hardware compared to consoles.
Also, am I the only one who think it's weird in this whole game the Punisher is using punches and kicks? Hand to hand combat isn't something I really associate with Frank, I think of him as a firearms and weapons master
Remember that time when The Punisher thought Deadpool killed a bunch of people and tried to kill him with his bare hands purely because all the other shit he'd stolen from supervillains to try and kill him with didn't work? Deadpool: Suicide Kings. Shit was nuts. And by shit I mean The Punisher, because really, after a katana, Doc Ock's tentacles, pumpkin bombs, innumerable guns and an electrified whip, how the fuck is trying to beat a guy to death with your bare hands a viable option when the dude has a fucking a healing factor?
John Lugo They should just try what they did with Hulk and shoot his ass off to another planet. Then again, that didn't work out very well with Hulk, but Planet Deadpool would be a pretty interesting story.
There is one time I remember The Punisher did go against his own set of rules/ morals, and that is in the Punisher Max BORN miniseries where it is kind of a pre year one Punisher in the Vietnam war. For those that have not read it and like the punisher, it is an interesting look at Frank Castle and maybe more of why he does what he does, or, another factor.
I love how Liam is slowly figuring out Matt's Limp Bizkit jokes. Then again, it also reminds me that Limp Bizkit was a thing... I'm not sure how to feel.
Bullseye became a freaking crazy motherfucker in the Daredevil comics after his first appearance. I don't know if it was after that MAX series (which I think was the comic Matt was describing) but Bullseye becomes really disturbing
John Lugo I'm looking on the web right now for some Bullseye stuff. I remember he made out with Elektra's corpse in a Daredevil issue in front of him, but I don't know if it was after the Aaron Johnson MAX stuff.
Bonebreaker is, I think, a Reaver, who were a group of mercenaries that were like, "Man, mutants suck, let's become cyborgs and then kill a bunch. But also lets work for them because they have money."
i've been waiting for you to play this since i saw you were a punisher fan!!! This is my favorite beat em up of all time and i'm a huge fan of the punisher because of it's influence on me as a kid playing it in the arcade. You gotta finish the king pin off by picking him up and doing the drop with him (Jump- Down&Attack)...... it's the only real way to finish the game properly
The way I see it is there are three different version of the Punisher, the one that builds nuclear reactors in his garage, the one that kills an old woman with a baseball bat because she's involved in some shit, and the Punisher that tries to steal Iron Man's shit.
The picture of the woman on the preview image is Vampy. She's dressed like Black widow, the Phoenix, Black cat and Ms.Pepperpot (in ironman armor) a very well known cosplayer, I recommend looking at her stuff.
I wanna say you could probably put The Punisher and Deadpool together because they're both balls to the wall violent and their different personalities could make for some interesting conversation between the two
I love the idea of super-serious Punisher MAX having to fight ridiculous villains like Bush Whacker or Bone Breaker, it'd be a great story-arc to see all these shit-tier characters to earn some respect and Frank can't stop laughing every time he confronts them.
I thought Bullseye was pretty sick in the Dark Avengers when he was pretending to be Hawkeye and his cameos in Deadpool. Made for a pretty awesome antagonist.
I believe Frank Castle called himself The Punisher in the trade paperback, Return to Big Nothing. He said in a thought balloon "Frank Castle is dead, I'm The Punisher."
I love how Matt brought Liam into this video just to confuse him because he knows so little about the Punisher, either that or this is the equivalent of Matt bringing Liam along on a hunting trip to make him a man and stray away from his moe animes. I guess this was a good enough alternative solution.
In the immortal words of the Punisher:
_"AYEEOOIOOAH!"_
this game should have two more characters ..maybe like daredevil and other fighter character ..like taskmaster perhaps ..or other.
The noise he makes when jumping through that skylight is uncanny.
_"Say your prayers!"_
In the immortal words of Bullseye: "Necessary? No. It was fun." Make sure you say it in a bad fake accent.
Say Yer Prayers!!!!!!
I'll never get used to hearing Matt go from "RUclips personality" to "normal guy who gets tired and inconvenienced."
The reason Kingpin is a stupidly powerful physical opponent is simple, he looks fat, but guess what, it's not fat, it's all muscle, all of it. He is basically a walking tank made from muscles.
But how does that make him powerful enough to take on SpiderMan and other superheroes/supervillains? He was just a normal man who got buff!
@@ultraspinalki11 It's comics, so really, who knows? I think his main threat part though is that he runs a criminal empire, his being unrealistically overly muscled is just a bonus.

Yeah I didn't mind Black Nick Fury when he was just in the Ultimate universe but now he's in the main universe too because of the movies.
ooo so edgy ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Ireallylikepie22 I know your trying to be funny, but please stop. Your not.
John Kramer well now you had to go and hurt feelings. although i don't disagree with your opinion but in this day an age you have to expect that response anytime you use the word "edgy" to describe a character.
Ireallylikepie22 I really had no idea that that's what I had to expect from that. If so, I'm sorry. Truly, I am.
Remember the time The Punisher went back in time to stop himself from being born and teamed up with a highly intelligent velociraptor that had a rocket launcher arms.
What that happened ?
Who..wha?
I don't know why... but that sounds really familiar...
You could be making things up, but the punisher's canon is so crazy that I don't put it past them...
I thought Carnage was the Marvel Joker.
Azraelseraphim There is room for a whole lot of crazy in comic books :D
Yes he is definitely and what does that make Deadpool?
My favorite moment was in Marvel vs DC where Batman threw a batarang at Bullseye and the caught it. Batman was so shook he wasn't ready for Bullseye to throw it back at Robin and damn near take his head off.
I love how Liam types in "Sex" at the end.
I sent the best friends an email saying to play this, and they did. If I close my eyes, I can almost pretend they noticed me.
Also, you guys need to redo this one, you didn't even do a giant swing on kingpin (Which you can)
I don't think Punisher and Wolverine actually get along together...
especially after that time Punisher blew his face off with a shotgun and ran him over with a steamroller.
CidTheNinja I know I'm almost a year late but wasn't it actually Wolverine's balls that The Punisher shot?
luisproductions100 It's been a while since I read that story, but Wolverine was definitely minus a face when he was steamrolled.
CidTheNinja Was he a Marvel Knight one time with Punisher(like for 20 minutes but still...)?
Yet Wolverine is a wonder of regenreation as is Deadpool

I love that they jump out of the water, and Nick Fury immediately has his cigar. Now thats a man right there
I don't know much about comics but in the 1994 Spider-Man cartoon Kingpin was one of my favorite villains, he was the hypest motherfucker with an awesome voice actor.
Roscoe Lee Brown who voiced Francis in Oliver and Company was his voice.
And what did you think of Vincent's version from the TV show of Daredevil?
"I thought the whole thing with the Punisher was he never killed anyone."
Matt clearly hasn't read a lot of non-Ennis Punisher comics if he thinks guys like Bone Breaker aren't appropriate Punisher villains. Punisher fights the stupidest shit all the time.
I think it was mostly that he didn't know whether Punisher ever had fought him.
Remember that time puisher was fighting The Russian, Spidey popped in and got knocked out, only to be used as a human shield by The Punisher? When he woke up after the fight, he asked Punisher what happened, to which he answered: "We teamed-up. You did great!".
Yeah, Garth Ennis hates superheroes and writes them as idiots who get owned any chance he gets.

A sound argument, indeed.
Well, Batman's supposed to be a much more psychological and bleak comic series, whereas The Punisher is supposed to be a little more lighthearted.

***** that and it's "sequel" Man of Stone were my favorites....well anything with O'Brian in it really.
Ahh Jason Aaron, the man who made me stop reading Marvel comics for a while with the "Wolverine Goes To Hell" arc.
Maybe it is just me, but I swear one of those random screams is someone yelling out "GRRRAAANNNDMAAAA!"
"Punisher is the Batman that gets the job done!". This couldn't be anymore truer.
Its the truest!
It's really cool that kingpin's body is 98% muscle and 2% fat
I love how grenade proof the Kingpin is. Several across the chest and he brushes them off!
This is just sad. Matt is not the Punisher we all thought he was.
That was the best delivery reception since Dark Seed.
Remember that time it was revealed every time Nick Fury was seen in the last 40 years was actually a robot and the real Nick was like 80 years old?
I got into a fight on the bus back from school once, and the driver stopped *immediately.* he couldn't handle the excitement, I s'pose. Fkr kicked me off as well, I had to walk like 3 miles. Lol
I love that Nick Fury's special is just "the belt" 😆
The last Beat-em-up that Capcom made in this style was Battle Circuit which was made in '97. Pretty great too.
Why is it there's always mail drops when Liams around?
Cause they're all the lover letters from girls wanting him to notice them
Alejandro Rodriguez Please, do you think only girls fall for Liam sama? At least half of those are from boys.
Senpai ?
Alejandro Rodriguez
Liam just has a press stamp ready that says "NOTICED"
Underchiever007 Hey man Liam is an equal opportunity lover
If it's anything that comics have taught you, don't kill other peoples families kids.
It worries me that it was comic books that taught you that.
Well they were criminals and Frank had to avenge his family's death

Matt will always be my favorite too. The dude can solo a video and still make it fun. Woolie will always have special place in my heart though. He's so lovable when he isn't lying or killing people.
Rocksteady and Bebop will always have the best 2-boss pattern. They usually end up fighting each other. I miss those two.
I had the opportunity to play this game on an actual cabinet at a convention once. Had a damn good time.
Pre-Crisis Rage story. I love it.
I love how Nick Fury's icon is just Punisher with an eye-patch.
Awwwwww yeah, this game is awesome! I always remembered that robot, just because it's animation was so intricate.
One of the details I liked about this game is that if you're playing Nick Fury alone when an interrogation cutscene happens, he just tosses out a one-liner and knocks the goon out afterwards instead of executing them.
Punisher: The World's Most Successful Mass Murderer.
Bone Breaker looks like the tank things from Smash TV
I'd buy that for a dollar!
I love how somehow voice samples became a thing in video games from the late 80's to the early 90's, but most of them were unintelligible, even on the vastly superior arcade hardware compared to consoles.
The hypest package delivery on RUclips.
Back in the day, my dad used to own an arcade cafe... and this and Cadillacs and Dinosaurs were like- the main event.
Matt, you singlehandedly made me love the Punisher. Thank you.
Now we get to see the full might of Matt's Punisher knowledge
I could watch this video over and over just to hear Matt go "HUUUWAAIIYOAAHH!!"
He's on a team with Rulk, Deadpool, Elektra and Venom (flash).......
YESSS a Punisher video just what I need to cheer me up after the match
The Punisher seems like the kind of guy who would actually be really into some really Moe anime.
29:00 lol just don't bother editing anymore then guys. I like how they are talking normal and then Matts on camera voice comes on lol.
Why doesn't Matt's normal voice sound like his camera voice?
+NeoDragoN7676 can someone explain what he means by camera voice?
Also, am I the only one who think it's weird in this whole game the Punisher is using punches and kicks? Hand to hand combat isn't something I really associate with Frank, I think of him as a firearms and weapons master
It's a beat em up game though I mean what else would he do and he does use guns sometimes to sooo
busorenkin55
I dunno, make it like Aliens Vs. Predator? That came out around this time.
Well its not like Punisher doesn't know how to fight hand to hand but I know what you mean
John Lugo
They should just try what they did with Hulk and shoot his ass off to another planet. Then again, that didn't work out very well with Hulk, but Planet Deadpool would be a pretty interesting story.
That pause. The hypest commentary/gameplay on youtube!
I can't wait that comic where the Punisher plays Triple Triad...
Hey bitch wanna play some cards? How about playing some cards huh?
Wait! You son of a ...!
Bullseye became a freaking crazy motherfucker in the Daredevil comics after his first appearance. I don't know if it was after that MAX series (which I think was the comic Matt was describing) but Bullseye becomes really disturbing
By rights he was already off his fucking chuff; he just became legitimately scary in that series in the same way that Joker did in the Arkham
Comics.
John Lugo I'm looking on the web right now for some Bullseye stuff. I remember he made out with Elektra's corpse in a Daredevil issue in front of him, but I don't know if it was after the Aaron Johnson MAX stuff.
The Hypest (and shortest) full LP ever
Why does the mail only arrive when it's Matt and Liam?
Bonebreaker is, I think, a Reaver, who were a group of mercenaries that were like, "Man, mutants suck, let's become cyborgs and then kill a bunch. But also lets work for them because they have money."
The Punisher Vs. Predator: I'd read/watch/play that media
i've been waiting for you to play this since i saw you were a punisher fan!!! This is my favorite beat em up of all time and i'm a huge fan of the punisher because of it's influence on me as a kid playing it in the arcade. You gotta finish the king pin off by picking him up and doing the drop with him (Jump- Down&Attack)...... it's the only real way to finish the game properly
"remember that time" stories are the best stories
Hey its that Finisher dude...
I know it's supposed to be "ROCK AND ROLL" but really sounds like Punisher is screaming "I GIVE UP!"
Remember the time punisher went back in time to medieval time then became a knight, and that's how he got the last name castle
Bone Breaker and Pretty Boy are Reavers from X-Men Matt ;)
Matt totally thought that fur rug was a spilled pile of poppy seeds.
Bonebreaker's from X-men/Wolverine, he teamed up with Pierce and became a cyborg. He's about as early 90s as they come.
The way I see it is there are three different version of the Punisher, the one that builds nuclear reactors in his garage, the one that kills an old woman with a baseball bat because she's involved in some shit, and the Punisher that tries to steal Iron Man's shit.
I'm really surprised it took this long for Matt to upload a Punisher game on this channel
The picture of the woman on the preview image is Vampy. She's dressed like Black widow, the Phoenix, Black cat and Ms.Pepperpot (in ironman armor) a very well known cosplayer, I recommend looking at her stuff.
I wanna say you could probably put The Punisher and Deadpool together because they're both balls to the wall violent and their different personalities could make for some interesting conversation between the two
the punisher game on the ps2/xbox was great
that funeral part where frank jumps out the coffin
so good
Imagine Jon Bernthal's Punisher & Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury double-teaming Vincent DeNofrio's Kingpin.
Lmao that package delivery interruption was hilarious
I love the idea of super-serious Punisher MAX having to fight ridiculous villains like Bush Whacker or Bone Breaker, it'd be a great story-arc to see all these shit-tier characters to earn some respect and Frank can't stop laughing every time he confronts them.
I thought Bullseye was pretty sick in the Dark Avengers when he was pretending to be Hawkeye and his cameos in Deadpool. Made for a pretty awesome antagonist.
4:25 The bus driver approves of the punisher's methods
I believe Frank Castle called himself The Punisher in the trade paperback, Return to Big Nothing. He said in a thought balloon "Frank Castle is dead, I'm The Punisher."
