Capcom made the absolute best games back in the day. Children of the Atom, MvC 1 and 2, Street Fighter II series (Alpha and 3 as well), Punisher, way too many perfect classics to name.
To be fair, they’re one of the last AAA video game developer and publisher I still have some respect for. They made mistakes here and there but did not fall in some really dark pits like many others.
This is what I love about the Punisher. He lost his humanity when his family died and he became the Punisher. He fights like a man possessed. He will kill everyone in his way or die trying.
What i love about this game is that it wonderfully captures the essence of the gangster types of the late 70s early 80s kingpins henchmen in this game like skinner, kolsky, hannigan, luis allegre actually were featured in the marvel comic the punisher way back when. The mafioso theme of the kingpin at the end of the game adds a real nice touch.

Definition of playing comic books back when we were young. The only interactive and closest way you could play your favorite comic book character and be them. To this day, there's still no other way. These games even looked like comic books.

You achieve that move by jumping with an enemy in your hands then pressing down + attack. If you press attack at the highest point of the jump you make the special attack with the roar and also deals more damage.

Back in the day, I would never imagine some unknown superhero whos not from any media Im familiar with would appear in my fav video game genre. imo, this beat em up is the best of its time because of how beatable it feels even if youre a first time player. you dont even need to know any specific way to beat certain types of enemies and the boss patterns are almost negligible coz of the buttload of weapons littered on the screen.
I think the Doc was talking about this game and man what a game it was I remember stealing money from my mums purse to play this on the arcade machine 😅
Hey all my viewers, i never liked to use auto control in most of the game play until i found some parts with annoying fist attack on my enemy. u know manual taping of one key again and again. So boring!! So i pressed the auto control button sometimes but not all time..
There's no reason to use auto control in beat 'em ups. Because there are a bunch of moves you can execute. In shoot 'em ups though, in games where you have to manually tap for each shot, there is a reason to use turbo. Only if the game doesn't have a special move where you have to hold the shoot button to execute it. Otherwise, I never really use it.

Man I spent so much money playing this on arcade. I remember there was a cheat or bug in the game. If you grab a red guy with a Tommy gun and shake him left snd right violently, every opponent instantly dies and you just walk through the level.
