***** Yeah, but now you get the opposite, people shitting on things to be edgy or for the lolz. or you get some bullshit where guys are just so horribly biased that they take a decent game and just shit all over it and it just becomes awkward and unfunny.
***** Well, they aren't critics, they are trying to entertain. I find it's nearly impossible to be entertaining, especially trying for humor, with something you truly hate.
Never played them. The point is, heavy rain wasn't so bad, but Indigo Prophecy was just PAINFUL to listen to. It is clearly a game they should have never done because they were just too opinionated on. Beyond Two Souls was better, but there were still moments with them being blinded by their bias to the point of making the playthrough suffer. (like times of them being so focused on bitching that they missed clear info on what to do, then would bitch more because they couldn't figure out where they had to go or what to do) Street wise and the silent hill games on the other hand were fun, funny and actually entertaining because they merely disliked them, they did outright HATE them. other examples are matt in some of the sonic games, and the recent green lantern game. though those weren't nearly as bad. Liam can get that way at times too.
I have watched every video they have ever done, on here and machinima. and have been for i'd say, 2 years or so, give or take some months. and have enjoyed 98% of it. so I'd say, yeah, this series is for me. and yeah, they hated on the Silent hill games and streetwise, but as I said, those were actually entertaining. The stuff I mentioned, was not. They were angry, bitter, largely unfunny messes. There is a huge different between making fun of something, and bitterly attacking it. There is a reason why, in professional comedy, you don't try to do comedy or satire of things you truly HATE. because you lose your ability to entertain. Go watch nostalgia critic, you can tell when he covers films he actually truly hates as opposed to films he merely thinks are bad and are just making fun of.
RaptorNX01 Meh, at least with the David Cage games (or most games, for that matter) they thoroughly explain what they dislike about them. But yeah, for me the problem, most of the time, isn't that I have a different opinion, it's when they're just shouting "FUCKING AWFUL, *X* IS THE WORST" about something they're not currently playing, and don't go into why they feel that way. Same with when they really like something, tbh. It just comes off as a useless youtube comment. SANIK IS DA GR8EST THO!
I share Pat's pain, but it's kind of expected on the internet. You come up with a very logical and reasonable argument and it just gets tossed aside with a "LOL U MAD" or some equivalent.
Watching this years later and after that hype-are Black Panther trailer dropped makes their Black Panther discussion hilariously interesting in hindsight.
Remember that time in the Fantastic 4 cartoon where they were fighting Galactus, and then all of a sudden Ghost Rider shows up out of fucking nowhere and is like "GALACTUS YOU ASSHOLE" and then he Penance Stares Galactus so hard (and it's Galactus, so you know he's spilled all of the innocent blood) that Galactus is like "OKAY, I'LL LEAVE, JUST STOP DOING THAT" and then he fucks off. That was neat.
Underchiever007 I don't think you have to regret your sins for the Penance Stare to work. The only real ways to get out of it are sort of stupid, sadly. You either have to have a Symbiote bonded to you, or you have to be super drunk.
I had this game on PSP back in the day. Not only was it super fun to play, you could race and do time trials against other Riders and could play as them too. You could also unlock different costumes which would also change your bike. AND! Collectible comics, collect all the comics pages from various Ghost Rider comics, and you could read them.
I remember renting this game from Block Buster back in the day. It actually had a hype ass Carnival level & a boss fight against Blackout the other famous marvel vampire who isn't Morbius.
MATT WOOLIE YOU MUST READ JASON AARON'S RUN ON GHOST RIDER is the most amazing GR comic, it re-introduce Danny Ketch (the 90's ghost rider) as Blaze's rival, he basically becomes his Vergil, it brings all the best villains in GR story and while having serious parts it doesn't take itself too seriously to not have fun at the B movie like aspects of the rider, it start from the half of volume 6 of Ghost rider and ends in the event heavens on fire that is fucking awesome and it also has a Danny Ketch miniseries spin off, if you need any motivation to read this just hear this is the endgame of this run "ARMY OF GHOST RIDERS VS ARMY OF FALLEN ANGELS FOR THE REIGN OF HEAVEN"
I appreciate how Ghost Rider eats sht when he crashes. Most games'd have you bounce off the wall with a momentum-killing "clunk", Wipeout style. It's so much more satisfying this way. There's a lil' nugget for any aspiring devs: make failure fun (or at least funny).
When he said "It would be cool if you could do power slides" I got a big old grin on my face because I've beaten this game, and i knew they were about to do powerslides.
Man, imagine if Ghost rider just stared at Kratos. Imagine the infinite pain that would be. The red mark turns back into blood and the white ash burns his skin.
I remember playing this as a kid after renting it from Blockbuster. I was waiting on the bath to fill up and I completely forgot it.I flooded the basement which was also my parents room...
unfortunately I feel he's gonna be such a fairweather fan that he's not gonna check out OOO or Fourze, even though he'd love OOO's music and Gentaro....
Speaking of DMC. I bought the DMC HD collection at walmart today for $20. I was like "Hey matt and Pat talk about this a lot, let's give it a shot." it's fun. mission 4 of the 1st one is giving me a run for my money. I don't have high hopes for a smooth playthrough if mission 4 is giving me this much issue.
I don't think they have as much of an issue with the original games. When they say DMC I think they're taking about the reboot, and they refer to the originals as Devil May Cry.
you should not expect an easy ride, no, charecter action games are very similar to fighting games, you're gonna get your ass kicked super hard when you start, but if you put the time in & get good you'll find an amazing experiance, especialy when you bump the difficulty up each play through, it's a very rewarding genre
I'm surprised Matt didn't bring up the time Red Hulk fused with the Venom symbiote and the Spirit of Vengeance and became a giant, angry hell-bike. Also, X-23 was there too.
This game and the Van Helsing game were highly slept on when they came out. I had a blast playing this game that when I rented it, I kept it for almost a month trying to 100% it
Jason Aaron wrote a real good storyline with Ghost Rider going to Heaven to kick some angel ass, and Tony Moore(from Walking Dead fame) did art for half of the run, between nuns with shotguns and Ghost Riders from different era's, like samurais, western etc, it was GREAT!
Way too late on this, but there's some stuff I both want to clarify and detail as just cool shit. Gameplay spoilers ahead. Near the end of the game you fight multiple enemies that have SSS shields who also spawn buddies to fuck you up. The style meter also increases your speed and power, but if you take a single hit it's reduced to 0. Taunting with enemies nearby will boost the meter significantly, so for the most part it works out if you play your cards right. One of the powers you get for the bike is the ability to drive on water. The very first level in which you get to use it is a canal system with sharks as the Road Rash bikers. Ghost Rider driving his Hellbike on water through canals murdering sharks with homing fireballs. This game has some seriously fucking radical shit. Also, the last midboss is Grandma Swamp Woolie and he drops the Dark Soul. The game's only 3-4 hours long on Normal, I think Matt and Woolie should have done a full LP during a drought. Maybe eventually?
+Mutagene Kun This is certainly one of the Superfriends' LPs I'd like to see a full LP of( along with Hulk, Spiderman, X-Men Wolverine Origins Wii version(for the hilarious enemy death noises), Injustice and maybe a few others). This game was pretty damn difficult near the end with trying to kill shielded enemies while a dozen others dogpile your ass. This is also one of the few short games I've played that I desperately wanted to be a lot longer. Still, I had a lot more fun and challenge with this than DMC: Devil May Cry.
I tried on a whim and ended up binging it super hard. I think if not for the license and budget limitations, Climax could make a very solid action game that feels more complete.
If they ever consider doing full Let's Plays of any of the games featured in these Superfriends episodes, I really hope they (Matt, Pat & Woolie once again) do an LP for Ghost Rider. All throughout the video, I was laughing so hard I was crying. Oh god, that was great! XD
One of my favorite Ghost Rider moments is in The Hulk cartoon, when he tell a military guy that if the Hulk's blood is spilled its on his hands, and the military guy then proceeds to see the Hulk's blood is on his hands and freaks out screams that the Hulk's blood is on his hands and that it won't come off
Pat's just being an old fart about Brutal Legend. It had a great soundtrack, great characters, a really cool world to explore, hilarious dialogue, and the Deuce was fun to cruise around in. I'm willing to bet he's mainly just upset that it was mostly RTS and not hack and slash like Activision and GameStop told us, but that's a failure of marketing, not game design. Not that I wouldn't have loved for the whole game to be like the intro sequence/demo, mind. But the RTS portions really aren't so bad once you're used to the fact that they're there.
Oh, wow! This not too well-known superhero movie-licensed video game is actually pretty cool! That is freakin' hard to do. Props to the people who worked on it.
If you play the entirety of the game and get all the skulls and other collectibles, you can change your character. For example, I not too long ago started playing as Blade in the story mode
I really love it when they come in an play a game they thought was gonna be the most terrible thing but come out with "THIS GAME'S AWESOME!!" or "THAT'S THE HYPEST SHIT!!!" this and Marlow Briggs are one of the main examples. Also, wasn't Blade supposed to be in this game?
+Gyro's Steel Balls and Ball Breaker Blade is unlocked after you beat the game on any difficulty, unfortunately though he has no upgrades, no movelist, a limited moveset, and no kind of abilities other than melee attacks (as fast and cool as they are). On the plus side, he grabs weakened enemies like GR, but that's how he heals since he can't absorb fire.
I have this game, played it to completion, if you beat the game you can unlock a Vengeance costume and Blade costume, and yes i believe they each have different designed motorcycles as well, in fact i believe Blades cycle has a blue flame coming out the back of it or no flame at all, this game was under appreciated for sure
I remember buying this game the day it came out, and it surprisingly holds up. Also if you beat the game you unlock some really cool costumes, and you can play as blade!!!!
So Liam is Carnage and Woolie is Venom.... Did Woolie birth Liam? I want a Zaibatsu take on the Carnage Liam's origin story. (I'm saying this as if the two are the Venom and Carnage symbiotes)
I read it, just misinterpreted what you meant. Anyway, I doubt it's anything more than a gag, but it could symbolize how Woolie's introduction made way for Liam to rise to stardom
What's even more awesome about this game is that you can unlock and play as blade too. You are also even the option of god mode when you finish the game and wanna replay. It's a great game
I fucking LOVED the Nick Cage Ghost Rider movie- I rented that shit and watched it every day after school for two god damn weeks. Sometimes twice, just for the fuck of it. Everyone in my house said it was a horrible piece of trash, but I was too blinded by Nick Cages sick burnouts on that motorcycle that made me love him from Face/Off to Kickass.
Remember the time Ghost Rider used the Penance Stare on Deadpool? Ghost rider was all like: 'See through the eyes of those you have wronged!' And deadpool was all like: 'So it's like a highlight reel? Roll the fucking tape!'
Hell yeah, I'd never thought I'd hear Woolie talking about Sacrifice. Late 90's PC games are my jam Woolie, you'd best be all about that Giants: Citizen Kabuto and Messiah
Being this guy, sorry everyone. But I actually really enjoyed my time with DMC. Im not the most skilled player, and I am almost never one to pick apart a game by it's mechanics. I realize the game has it's issues, but I still had my fair share of fun with the game, and Im sure that comes from me not having good knowledge or experience with most of the past Devil May Cry games. I had fun for what it was, and I know people will disagree with me, and thats fine, thats their opinion, and I respect that.
Alot of other game review sources gave it good reviews. I think they harp on it because it was different, and don't think it should have been as successful as it was.
Hey, nothing wrong with that. The golden rule of video games is if *you* enjoyed it not a whole lot else matters. As a long time old school DMC player the new DMC was admittedly a bit of a smack in the face in a lot of ways and certainly a step down from the previous titles. It was ham-fisted in it's story and the gameplay felt generic and simple but that doesn't mean other people aren't allowed to enjoy it. Heck, I loved FFX even though that game was supposed to be the point where Final Fantasy stopped being good. I recognise its flaws and can totally get why people hate it but it doesn't change the fact that I still had a good time playing through it.
I wasn't a fan of the Devil May Cry series before, but i did play Metal Gear Rising and thought it was mindblowing how cool it was and how elegant and simple the combat system was. Which i think was the problem I had going into DMC. The characters were unlikable and while the combat system was fine, it felt a bit wonky and really inelegant in comparison. I think if you play games of such quality before hand, then it's very hard to like DMC.
I have no idea what this bus driver wave is... All of our bus drivers were like the bus driver from South Park, except for the one old guy who ended up going to jail for molesting a kid... ...I fucking hate bus drivers...
q306005 Weird. Back in 4th Grade I had the coolest bus driver ever. He was so chill he'd let us throw a football around after we left city limits. Until he quit smoking, that is.
My thoughts on Kratos: I personally found it refreshing to be playing as a delusional villain on a selfish quest for revenge, no matter who he hurts. Not everyone needs to be a hero. IMO there are TOO MANY heroes in video games.
The fact that the new one sucks so much ass and regardless how much truth and facts there are to people's reasoning the only argument that blind fanboys have is "You don't like the design."
Mst3kfanatic1 God I know that feeling, seriously its like the guys who mindlessly enjoy this game don't understand what Critiquing is which deals with both the positives AND the negatives in a civilised manner with reasonable questions and opinions. And the truth is I do think the game has some cool aspects to it, like the disc weapons and the environments and such. And maybe if you skip the cutscenes, mute the game, play your own music and just pretend its anything else outside of DMC you could enjoy it as like a mindless hack and slash. But apparently, I'm "a lost cause" for doing so. Seriously, almost all the fans I've spoken to about this have the most absurd reasonings for why they like DmC and why the poor writing and character arcs are justified. It boggles my mind how this game can tout itself as being theatrical and have about as much cinematic insight as a doorknob.
EntityDJI But it's a subjective opinion. I play loads of character action games, always have, and DMC: devil may cry is one of my favourites! I could say why, but you simply won't like what I like. I can accept that, but it isn't a bad game, it's just not one YOU like.
Ghost Rider was the shit in the Spirits of Vengeance Saga with John Blaze and Morbius. He also had a few good moments in the Revenge of the Sinister Six Saga back in the 90's.
Despite being a god of war clone this game is way better then the movie also there right about the main characters love interest in the movie sucks. There's a scene where shes in a restaurant waiting for Johnny but he's out doing ghost rider shit so while she waits she takes out a fucking magic 8 to see if her date will come or not. That was prob one of the dumbest things I've seen in a comic book movie
Everyone's really mad at the Best Friends for thinking Kratos is a dick. Well I think he's a dick too. Fuck that guy. ::Walks away, backwards, with both middle fingers up in the air::
Brutal Legend was awesome. It just falls apart at the end cause it wasn't finished. I thought everyone knew that just from playing it. It starts after you beat Lion White and they condensed the Drowning Doom and the Tainted Coil into one area. Apparently someone wasn't paying attention.
Shall we go down the list? The characters were horribly written. The dialogue was awful. The story was idiotic. It didn't play like a DMC game should. It was way too easy. The soundtrack was shit. It wasn't as smooth as DMC4 in terms of framerate. Those are the most glaring flaws.
So from what I can see, the riding sections in this PS2 superhero licence game is more in-depth and precise than the entirety of Ride to Hell:Retribution. Can't really say I'm surprised.
I'm going to play devil advocate here and say that Kratos is not as a bad character they say he is. Is he a good guy? Certainly not! Does he surpass the normal scale in the edgeometer? Definetly! But he does redeem himself SPOILER ALERT- By killing himself in GOW3 and realeasing Hope( that was trapped in his body) for humanity, but he still ruins the world for everyone and doesn't have to face the consequences of his actions.SPOILER ENDS It's really hard to defend Kratos holy shit.
***** Yeah I know santa monica studios basically did to greek mythology what Kratos did to Poseidon in the beginning of GOW3. But hey the olympians themselves became such assholes that it felt good to kill them, and you get that bittersweet felling, because of all the collateral damage you are causing to the world, for your pesky need for vengeance.
***** But in the real legend of Zeus there is a part that say that he ate his pregnant first wife for the fear of a prophecy that said he would be dethroned by his son. You can say that doesn't mean kratos could kill him, but maybe he could have banished the gods to tartarus or something.
IMO, the story of the GoW games fell apart after the first game. Extra Credits said it best, the first game is told like some sort of Greek tragedy which is why I kinda like it, but by GoW2 Kratos just becomes really unlikable and his actions seem unjustified. And then by GoW3 the story just becomes another bland AAA video game story. I mean, what did Zeus do that was so bad again? He only stabbed Kratos because he wouldn't stop killing everything. They even warned him about it, yet he still whines about them betraying him. Are we really supposed to relate to that?
careerpancakes Well, thats just Greek mythology though. I'm talking about in the actual story of GoW, Zeus didn't really do anything villainous. Which is bad, since hes supposed to be the bad guy.
That Extra Credits video on the GoW series' story was perfect. It really does a good job at highlighting how Kratos' took a huge hit after Jaffe's departure. Yahtzee also said it best when he said, "GoW has only gotten sillier".
"PS2 controllers get sticky over time!" Woolie yells, quickly trying to wipe away the pie filling and crumbs from his face while sweating profusely.
That feel when Ghost Rider cares about innocent bystanders more than Superman.
That feel when Godzilla saves the day with less casualties than Superman.
That feel when Luke didn't stop alderaan from being destroyed
careerpancakes that one makes no sense.
CommanderCorson Ghost Rider would give people water; he of all people probably has empathy for the parched.
To be fair, his whole thing is judging the guilty and sparing the innocent.
Pat's comments about what happens when you say you don't like DmC are so true it's sad to think about.
Shannon F omg same, i had an experience of it andbi put the on the ground, theu refuse to and denied the reality of it.
How is this game this good? Most games based on movies are shitty, generic 3rd person beat'em ups that are super broken. This looks amazing!
I question that every time I play the Van Helsing game for Xbox. It's just a Devil May Cry clone. And it fucking works.
Your videos are awesome.
Mare, you get a /)
End3rDJgaming yeah! (\ :D
Don't you be knockin' the Spiderman 2 or Return of the King games.
You know what would be rad? If Ghost Rider's fire on his head got bigger and more extreme when you get a sick combo goin' on

bazz Only GR book I've ever given a damn about, and one of my favorite Aaron books of all time (that he did for Marvel anyway)
The Garth Ennis/Clayton Crain series "Road to Damnation" and "Trail of Tears" are both pretty sick.

Ghost Rider 2: Spirit of Vengeance was probably the best comedy of 2012.
I don't think that was their intended reaction, but it was hilarious.
The more Woolie keeps referencing kamen rider, the more I like him. The more Woolie keeps making KR Double references, makes me want to love the man!

XD
I can't be the only one who wants to see the full LP of this
you are not
One of my favorite Ghost Rider moments is in The Hulk cartoon, when he tell a military guy that if the Hulk's blood is spilled its on his hands, and the military guy then proceeds to see the Hulk's blood is on his hands and freaks out screams that the Hulk's blood is on his hands and that it won't come off
Pat's just being an old fart about Brutal Legend.
One of the better Marvel games. I had a blast playing this game. Played it a second time as Blade.
I don't know why they thought it was strange that Woolie wanted to get into the Sarlacc Pit. That's a grade A Woolie Hole if I've ever seen one.
Oh, wow! This not too well-known superhero movie-licensed video game is actually pretty cool! That is freakin' hard to do. Props to the people who worked on it.
I cannot imagine Ghost Rider without Nicholas Cage.
He's playable after you beat the game on a certain difficulty, don't remember which one.
Also after they played Skullgirls on Fisticuffs, Pat started to love it.
I had this game on PSP. I completed this game twice. I enjoyed it
It's like a good *Ride to Hell*...
I AIN'T ASKIN' FOR A THRONE AND CROWN
+jenkind1 SOMETHING SOMETHING PLATYPUS ON THE GROUND
+jenkind1 Man that song is way too good for that game.
The new Ghost Rider comic is so so so SO good. The art is amazing.
Wow, I've never seen this game in action, but it actually looks like a pretty decent God of War/Devil May Cry clone!
What's the outro music? I swear to god I've heard it somewhere? X-men I think?
inb4 darude - shitstorm
It's the 90s X-Men theme, yeah.
sande - darudstorm
TheGeotrix1 I thought so.
Yeah, it's from the old early 90's X-Men animated series. Good profile pic btw :D
OP can't inb4 you chode.
I remember buying this game the day it came out, and it surprisingly holds up. Also if you beat the game you unlock some really cool costumes, and you can play as blade!!!!
There's a 10 page essay on why Dmc: Devil May Cry sucks ass?
WHERE IS IT? I MUST READ IT!
"ps2 controllers get sticky overtime". Me with the same ps2 controller since 2005 no sticky buttons.
Holy shit, Pat *does* look like Brian Posehn.
i always felt louis ck
***** yes
brendan mount A little bit of both.
there's more tho....
edit: guy from vikings, game of thrones, and this guy.
Kakashi Hatake I always wanted to ask, who is that guy? Is it you?
I had this game when I was a kid, and I'm so glad that it's actually as cool as I remembered it being.
So Liam is Carnage and Woolie is Venom.... Did Woolie birth Liam? I want a Zaibatsu take on the Carnage Liam's origin story.
(I'm saying this as if the two are the Venom and Carnage symbiotes)
The Venom symbiote created the Carnage symbiote.
The hosts had nothing to do with it
Liam and Woolie are the symbiotes not the hosts. Did you finish reading my comment?
I read it, just misinterpreted what you meant.
Anyway, I doubt it's anything more than a gag, but it could symbolize how Woolie's introduction made way for Liam to rise to stardom
Fair point.
carnage really needs a live action film
Can we just say that this is one of the best movie tie-in's?
WHY DOES THIS LOOK SO COOL?!
Because it is
Because..., it is cool.
That Crane section is Spirit of Vengeance was super-hype, amirite?
Look at that, guessing the plot of Black Panther 4 years early.
Kratos' story should serve as a warning to use your weapons outside and away from family members
I rented this way back when and goddamn this game was fun! The HellShotgun Combos are nuts!
Matt talking bout Whistler reminded me, Isn't their a Blade Game
YES THERE IS :p
TheSw1tcher Alright level with us, is it worse than Spawn?
There is a Shitty blade game for the second movie I believe. Also blade is a secret character in this game as well. Pretty rad in this game.
TheSw1tcher We need more shit Spawn games guys. I'm serious. You and Woolie are such nerds for Spawn
There's a Blade game on the PS1. i'm sure they'll play that one eventually cause it looks like crap.
Can you guys please do a full play through of this game I promise you'll love the story /in game references to other comic and movie characters.
Remember the time Ghost Rider used the Penance Stare on Deadpool? Ghost rider was all like: 'See through the eyes of those you have wronged!' And deadpool was all like: 'So it's like a highlight reel? Roll the fucking tape!'
Remember that time when Ghost Rider beats Galactus using his penance stare?
***** That was so stupid. Galactus is an inherently amoral being, he cannot feel guilt or commit sins.
Hell yeah, I'd never thought I'd hear Woolie talking about Sacrifice. Late 90's PC games are my jam Woolie, you'd best be all about that Giants: Citizen Kabuto and Messiah
Oh my god, I actually played and bought this game.
I'm all of a sudden feeling overcome with feelings of genuine terror and feeling rather shaky...
That was the hardest I've ever heard them laugh at the end.
"Whos doing this, Such a lust for revenge...22:32"
Skull face
Being this guy, sorry everyone.
But
I actually really enjoyed my time with DMC.
I really enjoyed it
Hey, nothing wrong with that.
Reishyn A calm, intelligent and rational person on the internet respecting other people's opinions?
Is this bizzaro world?
I wasn't a fan of the Devil May Cry series before, but i did play Metal Gear Rising and thought it was mindblowing how cool it was and how elegant and simple the combat system was. Which i think was the problem I had going into DMC. The characters were unlikable and while the combat system was fine, it felt a bit wonky and really inelegant in comparison. I think if you play games of such quality before hand, then it's very hard to like DMC.
That ending was the best!
SO THE BUS DRIVER WAVE IS WORLD-WIDE
I have no idea what this bus driver wave is... All of our bus drivers were like the bus driver from South Park, except for the one old guy who ended up going to jail for molesting a kid...
...I fucking hate bus drivers...
q306005 Weird. Back in 4th Grade I had the coolest bus driver ever. He was so chill he'd let us throw a football around after we left city limits.
Until he quit smoking, that is.
The best use of the penance stare was when Ghost Rider used it on Deadpool and Deadpool said it was like 'a highlight reel'
How does the Wades survive the Penance Stares? That makes no sense.
BUT HEY COMICS AM I RIGHT?
Remember the time Nicholas Cage went around punching women in the hopes of becoming the One True God?
remember that time when nicolas cage dressed up like a bear and punched a bitch in the face?
Kawaii Buisness Girl remember that time where nicolas cage drove a motor cycle with a flaming skull?
Kawaii Buisness Girl remember the bees
That intro is so badass with "Ghost Riders in the Sky" playing.
My thoughts on Kratos: I personally found it refreshing to be playing as a delusional villain on a selfish quest for revenge, no matter who he hurts. Not everyone needs to be a hero. IMO there are TOO MANY heroes in video games.
This was great and made me want to see you guys at some point play the ps2 evil dead game,I think it was regeneration.
Wait, what was Pat's DMC rage a reference to?
Nothing. It's just Pat in his purest, most natural state.
Just in reference to how bad the new DMC is and how people will ignore points you make about the gameplay and say you just don't like design.
EntityDJI
But it's a subjective opinion. I play loads of character action games, always have, and DMC: devil may cry is one of my favourites! I could say why, but you simply won't like what I like. I can accept that, but it isn't a bad game, it's just not one YOU like.
A very enjoyable episode, I'll have to see if I can pick this game up somewhere.
Can you guys just do an LP for Devil May Cry 3 already? you guys (and us too) are literally just screaming out for it to happen!
This game was hype. I remember when I was a babby and loved this game
I don't know why you guys shit on Kratos as a hero. He's not a hero at all. He's a lot like a shitty guy from greek myth. You know those guys
Blade does appear in this game. And I also enjoyed this game and video. Loven this superhero mounth.
If you ever run out of games to play for the channel, you could always play this as a full playthrough.
They should do an lp of this regardless
Exactly
That Dante/Ghost Rider wave outside the hell portal needs to be animated.
Brutal Legend was fantastic. The marketing from EA completely fucked it in the ass because they marketed an RTS as an action game.
It's like they started to rummage through my playstation games from when I was a child.
The guy they said was “not Whistler” is the cool bouncer from the film roadhouse, now what the fuck is he in this game I don’t know!
Ghost Rider starts out with an Izuna drop...10/10
Whats was wrong with DmC? (Its a joke, because of what they said in the video...)
Everything.
Nothing.
The gameplay.
Mads-Emil Jensen Woosh...
So from what I can see, the riding sections in this PS2 superhero licence game is more in-depth and precise than the entirety of Ride to Hell:Retribution.
Can't really say I'm surprised.
Can you guys play deadpool next?
So glad to hear that someone else played Sacrifice! That game was the shit!
I'm going to play devil advocate here and say that Kratos is not as a bad character they say he is. Is he a good guy? Certainly not!
Does he surpass the normal scale in the edgeometer? Definetly!
But he does redeem himself SPOILER ALERT- By killing himself in GOW3 and realeasing Hope( that was trapped in his body) for humanity, but he still ruins the world for everyone and doesn't have to face the consequences of his actions.SPOILER ENDS
It's really hard to defend Kratos holy shit.
***** The part where you have to kill Kronus is pretty cool though.
*****
Kratos got hope when he opened pandora's box. It was a twist because when he opens it it seems to be empty.
***** But in the real legend of Zeus there is a part that say that he ate his pregnant first wife for the fear of a prophecy that said he would be dethroned by his son.
You can say that doesn't mean kratos could kill him, but maybe he could have banished the gods to tartarus or something.
***** But for a time Kratos was a God he retained some of the powers he had and gained others from the Titans. So maybe he could match Zeus
I can't believe that nobody said "Hey, he burned his _face off_"
IMO, the story of the GoW games fell apart after the first game.
Remember that time Zeus morphed into a goose and then raped his sister so that she would have to marry him
man that was great
careerpancakes
Well, thats just Greek mythology though.
Play the new one
Great idea put Rorschach in Escape From Butcher Bay I would buy it in an instant!
First Marlow Briggs and now this. Action games that you expect are crap but are actually fun and better than that crap-fest DmC.
i really hope they play the darkness 1/2 for the superhero month. Those games were pretty hype.
