- Times have changed. A cheap, Full HD 1080p, 144Hz, HDR monitor with USB-C Nintendo Switch Dock built in, and USB-C Power for convenience is now ABSOLUTELY possible for $200. The new Arzopa G1 Game is a portable monitor on a completely different level. Let's see how it handles Switch, PS4 and high refresh rate PC gaming with SFV and Monster Hunter Rise. Trust me, you're not ready.

I bought this monitor on a whim for EVO weekend and it’s working great! Glad you tested out the latency as there aren’t a lot of reviews/videos that show that and it gives me a peace of mind haha

This would be a perfect companion for the Ryzen 6000 portable PCs as the Steam Deck is still not available in the general Indo-Pacific area in case you'll be getting the ones that equal $649.
Another good option is the 17" viewsonic portable (also 1080/144). It costs $100 more but it's real nice.

I'm going to buy this for my steam deck which doesn't necessarily need the 144hz with the idea that I could also use it with my series x if and when I need it. Thanks for sharing all of your tests.
Boy, I never thought I would see the day where we have portable gaming monitors running at 144hz and can stand toe to toe with the much bigger monitors! I'm interested!

Get a cloth and put the Switch face down on it may help disapate heat. Make sure the cloth is not booking the vents and is only there to protect the screen from getting scratched.

do not get this, i bought this thing 3 times before i said im not unlucky getting a dud model, the first one broke after 6 days of use, the screen wouldnt turn on, had them send a replacement as they said it could just be a faulty model sent, 2nd one lasted for 11 days before the same issue, and they said ooh maybe im overlaoding the power, i said to them this thing has been running of my phones batery so i said you cant blame me for your faulty product which should work under required amp and not break in less then a month, they said please let us send you another one i said fine so the third one came, this one lasted 4 days, and this time i made sure to use their own power cable and socket, so they cant blame me, ive never bought a product so prone to breaking, and its a shame because the time i did have it was fantastic but i really dont want to worry about it breaking on me at any point, as this thing should honestly last a while for the price you pay and yet it doesnt, the customer service is great and cant fault them, but this thing is so flimsy that i dont know how some people have had this for years, i did later realise the model they review or have is slighly different or a older variant so that may be the case, the april 2023 version is a dud, i later bought a 2k uperfect 120hz 16inch and damn its like i had to go through all this to realise theirs a even better monitor out their for £20 more, and i have had that for nearly 6 months and that thing is used daily and its yet to do anything fishy, fingers crossed that lasts, from my experience with arzopa i honestly cant recommend this considering i had 3 units all break under 2 weeks.

@@muygalan hi there. I have one dead pixel. It’s not particularly annoying. But the refresh rate and quality elsewhere more than make up for it. Really enjoyed using it for gaming and work.

This is amazing, I can not believe you can use that portable monitor for the switch without the use of a dock. The whole 144 hurts is especially nice. My only question is could it be used to stream online games?
It's only a screen so you need a console or PC to play the games.
if you have a android phone like samsung you can connect it thru usb and use your phone as the pc pretty much and use game streaming amps like that like xbox game pass etc
Because of this channel I have become obsessed with arcade sticks and learning to place fighting games. At age 37. Lol still don’t know which one i will get i want something cross platform. Have any spare for sale lol.
On serious note any recommendations.
Choose the stick you think looks the coolest and get an adapter to make it work with other consoles :)

I got one, it's incredible! I use a solar powered power bank with it. They're totally worth the money especially if you do a lot of handheld mode switch gaming but are thinking of getting an Orion, nah, don't waste your money. This has better specs for a cheaper price. And you use your pro controller instead of joy cons and all the weight of the Orion.
I have the newer version its now 17 inchs it gives you a kickstand instead of a case, i play my xbox series x on this and its so much better in person then you see here, only 1 fault is the speakers they arent too good. So headphones are a must
I use mine at coffee shops that have “decent” internet….and yes it’s mostly for fighting games that I run on switch or ps4. Unless the ps5 was slightly smaller/carry friendly I wouldn’t rush into buying one yet.
Man that’s sick you can play switch without the dock. That’s always been my biggest switch gripe.

The only thing I hate about the Switch is that it wont charge or take some battery to charge the Portable Monitor. The steam deck does it just fine. but the switch you gotta have the portable monitor on a outlet to even play on the switch
the fact that you don't need the switch dock is impressive alone.
11 months later, has anyone had any Switch bricking using this? I know the Switch is very picky about what power supplies they have plugged in and that's made me touchy about most accessory purchases.

Hey 👋🏾 Have you got this monitor working with the Steam Deck and a controller yet? I'm dying to know.
ive been using a similar portable monitor as a second screen at my desk, clamped in portrait view it actually lines up pretty nicely with the side of my main monitor almost like an extension. The size is perfect for my needs which is mostly having discord open on the side. The few times i do wanna take it somewhere like a lan party or tournament, its super easy to pull it off the clamp and go.
But probably a 60hz screen no?

It is very convenient for switch users like me since it can also charge through power bank. However, on the official website of Arzopa, they said it is “necessary” to charge the monitor with the Nintendo Switch ac adapter. So if thats true would’nt that mean we wont be able to use power bank to charge the monitor? This js the only issue thats making me contemplating whether to buy it or not cuz im planning to use it with my switch on a power bank. What’s your take on this?

Isn't there an inherent risk to bricking the Switch when connecting directly using USB C for video output + charging? Has it been working fine so far? This has been the main point for me not using portable monitors for my switch without the dock as tempting as it is to do so.

It takes regular hdmi input so as long as u use the mini hdmi cable included in the box it should work as normal yes

Tried to skip the unboxing, because ... yeesh, unboxing ... but did accidentally see that they put the cables in plastic bags despite them already being in cardboard boxes ... what a waste, y'know?
*RUclips search Nintendo Switch & Portable Monitors, you can make your choice based on your requirements.*
*If you are only using it for Switch then you don't need touch-screen since it wont work, you don't need 4K since Switch doesn't output it, don't need 144 hz since Switch does not output it but if the Switch 2 does have these features then you can buy now and future-proof.*
*And kind of pointless to buy them to use with Xbox or PS5, since you will need a wall outlet to power the systems, more than likely you will only use with a TV, can't really go portable with the Xbox & PS5.*
*Now the plus side of these monitors is that you can just plug in your phone and it works, no external battery needed but for the Switch you do need an external battery because the Switch does not generate enough power for the monitor.*
*And the best part is NO DOCK NEEDED!*
*I personally have two monitors, BlitzWolf 13 inch and just got Espresso Display 13 inch V2(expensive asf).*
*Now for my setup which I highly recommend.*
