That's a real bummer about the Xbox and Steam Deck. I have the Asus XG16 and it runs at 120hz no problem on my series x, but it's quite a bit more expensive (about $280 when on sale). I could also get 144hz on the Steam Deck in desktop mode, but doesn't look like the OS supports it in gaming mode yet.
Just to clarify, does 120hz work on this monitor via steam deck when in desktop mode? I want to buy it to play fps on steam deck and I have a mouse and keyboard so playing in desktop mode isn't an issue... thanks
@collecttcg1122 I was originally talking about the Asus XG16, but I also have the Arzopa now which I bought for my girlfriend's Steam Deck. I can confirm 144hz works in both desktop mode and gaming mode now. Valve has since updated Steam OS to support higher refresh rates in gaming mode. Hope that helps.
I'm curious. Does it handle low refresh rates well like 24 - 45fps. Or do you get awful ghosting and screen tearing. You can probably test this out by playing a game you struggle with on your handhelds. Or just try cyberpunk at a higher graphics setting.
glad i saw u video was specifically buying this for xbox i do have gaming laptop so extending would be nice and to use for switch phone ect.. sad it doesn't hit the 120hz dealbreaker considering it costs over $300 Canadian currently 2023-01-18 it is on sale for $250 not sure where ur finding it for $140
Connecting an Atari VCS (2021 PC) to this would be fantastic. I play Dreamcast on my Atari VCS every day. This monitor and my Atari in a little bag for work trips would be sweet!
I'd love to see you test this with a walksnail hd system. I'm in the market for a monitor I can use for others to watch my fpv flights, live. The goggles/vVRX can output up to 120hz. Powering it by ac/DC isn't an issue, just having a nice display that will simply display the 1080p/120/90/60fps output from the VRX

I also have 4 more of the Pepper Jobs OLED 4k 500 NIT monitors, went all in on that disaster. SIGH, it was a kickstarter, was the last I'll ever back. They want 1200 for it, I paid $900 and found the exact same monitor from a different company for a more stomachable $600 with billions of colors, same brightness and same MPP 2.0 support.

Hey Russ, I am big fan of your channel, just wanted to say that first haha. I am starting to get into these portable monitors and I was hoping to ask a quick question about this one. I wanted to confirm that if you turn off or unplug this monitor, that it will save the settings (i.e. brightness, contrast, colour,) and not reset it to its original default settings. My friend had a portable monitor he got for fairly cheap (ingnok 15") and it does this which I can see being a problem if your use case involves you having to unplug it even once or more a day. Any help is appreciated, thanks again!
There's a setting that you go into in the Xbox series as to force 120 frames because I had the same problem with my monitor with my Xbox series s Just search how to get 120 frames on Xbox series s p.s. you most probably won't see this
Warning to new buyers! This monitor does not support Freesync anymore, exact same A1 gaming model bought from European Amazon. It does not have Freesync option in menus anymore at all. But 120hz1080p does work on Xbox if you manually select HDMI from connection types instead of automatic

I just bought this monitor and I can get 144Hz to work on HDMI using the supplied cables. I Use a 150w GAN charger and a 100w rated hub. The menu on the monitor says it's pulling 12v from the PD while at 1920x1080@144Hz. However, I cannot get USBC video to work with either USBC hub. Not even after giving it 1 USBC as power and one as video. I can connect directly to the Steam Deck. When I do that, the refresh and brightness drop and the menu shows 1920x1080@60Hz and 5w of PD. Oh and the Steam Deck shows a different name for the monitor in display settings (Synaptics Inc Non-PNP). I think that my USBC hubs don't allow enough power through the USBC video out port. I tested this by supplying power via the HUB's USBA port. Through HDMI and power from the USBA port I can only get 60Hz,,,, So power is definitely a factor. 7v will get you 144Hz
SteamOS does not support 144hz. Go to desktop mode and be happy. I have that same monitor, it runs on 144hz on desktop mode. Steam is working on steamos to run on that refresh rate on next update

@@sladehunter A lot of newer games on Steam Deck can only go up to roughly 40FPS consistently. Most can't reach a consistent 60FPS. So 40FPS will allow you to get a reasonable locked frame rate for most newer Steam Deck games instead of settling for only 30FPS. So 40Hz options are great for people who intend to use it with Steam Deck.

Did I miss you testing the Xbox or PC using external power?
I was thinking the same thing. I don’t even think he read the directions. It could be as simple as one missed step.
Yes, I tested everything in multiple use cases, including external power with each device, and it didn't affect the refresh rate.
For sure a PS5 is not as portable as I would like, but it's nice to see that the screen works really well anyways! Thanks for making this review!
Can it use the 120 fps mode?
@@Avantaie I’m trying to figure out how to run 120 on it now. I just got it today.
Bro did you fix it? @@itsKels757
A brand I've never heard of before but will never forget... ArseЖопа
It has good weight distribution, so it won't fall over and you don't need a lot of space behind it in order to keep it upright.
This is great! I have a ps5, already use it on 120 and 144hz displays, but not for my in bed setup (yes I move my ps5 around a lot). And I also have a dual monitor 144hz laptop setup, looking to expand to a third
How do you get the PS5 to find 120 fps and 144hz display? Did you use a different HDMI and power adapter/cord that's not the ones that came with the monitor?
@@caliking6717 hmm. I’m gonna clarify myself. I can only use 1 display at a time on PS5, like everyone else. I have an HDMI 2.1 cable that connects from the PS5 to my TV or monitor. Then, I can enable 120fps in the PS5 settings. I do not have a portable monitor so my only power source is from the typical wall outlets. - using the same power cables that shipped with each product.
I got a 4K QLED monitor I use with my laptop, handheld PC and my switch... Pretty much goes everywhere with me.
I have a pc built into a formd t1 case, which is a sub 10L case. Powerful, yet compact. This might be a perfect monitor for my pc
You know, this got me thinking: what if someone made a laptop-like dock for the SteamDeck?
There is one, and I'm working on it right now!
whats the response time on this monitor? thanks
This is currently available for $70, i will get it today, thanks!
Ah that's good to hear re: desktop mode working, but yeah kind of moot if it's not in game mode yet.
@KeyJOSH8 that's great to hear, thanks for the speedy reply, do you connect the monitor to the deck via hdmi or USB c? Thanks again
@collecttcg1122 No problem! Either will work, but if you're going through a dock, just be sure it supports 144hz at 1080p first.
Perfect for travel with itx build
Used to lugg around my 15" anmite and k39 on my superbike
This seems cool to bring along when i fly
I'm curious. Does it handle low refresh rates well like 24 - 45fps. Or do you get awful ghosting and screen tearing. You can probably test this out by playing a game you struggle with on your handhelds. Or just try cyberpunk at a higher graphics setting.
Or just use Blur Busters UFO Motion Tests
glad i saw u video was specifically buying this for xbox i do have gaming laptop so extending would be nice and to use for switch phone ect.. sad it doesn't hit the 120hz dealbreaker considering it costs over $300 Canadian currently 2023-01-18 it is on sale for $250 not sure where ur finding it for $140
I'd imagine using it with a very small mini-ITX pc would be amazing since they're very portable
I made that too complicated for the simple question it was. I'm not drinking on a Monday anymore. 😎👉👉
After owning the UPerfect QLED 1080P 500 NIT monitor, I can't go any lower. This thing in and of itself is way too bright, that I literally had to install a screen dimmer overlay app for Windows. I think I measured it with wall power, and it gets up to 600 NITS according to my instruments. The colors on it are just amazing. I also have 4 more of the Pepper Jobs OLED 4k 500 NIT monitors, went all in on that disaster. SIGH, it was a kickstarter, was the last I'll ever back. They want 1200 for it, I paid $900 and found the exact same monitor from a different company for a more stomachable $600 with billions of colors, same brightness and same MPP 2.0 support.
you need to get a hdmi adapter that tricks the console into thingking it has a compatible 120hz monitor connected, then 120hz will work on series s and the deck
Like what
Man, your tattoos looks hard and the video was great!!
There's a setting that you go into in the Xbox series as to force 120 frames because I had the same problem with my monitor with my Xbox series s
Just search how to get 120 frames on Xbox series s
p.s. you most probably won't see this
Warning to new buyers! This monitor does not support Freesync anymore, exact same A1 gaming model bought from European Amazon. It does have few improvements imo like just leather cover instead of carbon fiber looking one and Arzopa logo is now way smaller which I like but Freesync is completely missing which is a bummer.. still not bad deal but man I wish and thought It has it
Edit. It does not have Freesync option in menus anymore at all. But 120hz1080p does work on Xbox if you manually select HDMI from connection types instead of automatic
I pre-purchased a MINISFORM NUCXi7 - that's why I am looking for a portable 144 Hz monitor ;)
seems perfect if you're traveling with a mini pc or SFFPC
could it be that you need to use wall power for 144hz?
Negative, unfortunately the power source doesn't affect the refresh rate.
Buen video, parece una compra excelente
my plan with this was to have an all in one pc ! meaning i was gonna mount the monitor inside my pc instead of carrying my 27'' screen
godsend for itx rigs, especially sub 10l
Have to be careful with the lower-priced ones. Some have much higher response times (6ms for the cheaper one in this case). I wouldn't recommend higher than 2ms for gaming. Great review, thanks!
6MS IS VERY GOOD WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT
@@yahyarahman1254 general consensus is that 6ms is too slow for gaming I think. If it works for you then more power to you.
@@alexshannon4352 thats not the general consensus tho is it, 6ms is really fast
@@yahyarahman1254 in my experience people would not want a monitor for gaming if it is 6ms and felt people should know that. If 6ms is fine for you then use it and be happy
@@alexshannon4352 any VA/IPS panel (aside from some newer QLED pannels) are usually around 6-8ms.
If you're playing competitive, less than 1ms is what you're aiming for, but you're only getting that with Oled in this screen size.
For £150, 144hz, 1080p with a 144hz response time of 2.7ms, this thing is s bargain trust 👍🏻
I personally want the portable monitor to be able to play surprisingly movies and shows on It from my phone. As well as my PS5 sometimes.
Will this work with the Xbox series X playing call of duty? Or is it too small? Thanks for the review.
I am pretty sure he attached the stand incorrectly. The image on amazon looks like its should stick out from the bottom.?
Its correct
The magnetic stand its very good in the correct position
I got scared a bit in the bigining. I orderd one alredy. For laptop secundery screen and for my ps5. Hopefully going to be good for me. THX for the video :)
I could use this to DJ.. with my Mac Mini running Traktor this would be the perfect portable screen to add to the set up for digital DJing....
Before buying this , why do I keep seeing comments saying what cable did you use to play ps5 on 144hz or 120hz ? I have a ps5 and I want to be able to know how it can run on that ?….how come there having trouble with the ps5 with this monitor ?
after playing around the PC NVIDIA Control panel settings, i realize in order to achieve 144Hz refresh rate, u have to downgrade ur resolution to meet the goal. Probably that why u not getting 120Hz for different types of devices.
Looks a fairly solid device
I bought this exact monitor and was able to get 120 fbs on my Xbox series s
I have this particular monitor, and the only way I've gotten to 144Hz is by hooking it up to a laptop/PC. Now I'll try the PS5 for giggles (I have a 120Hz TV).
I got a 108p 60hz portable monitors and overlclocked it to 66hz, nothing close to 144hz but still really nice for the money.
Oh yeah it was 99$ Cad which im guessing is like 70$ USD.
good thing i bought the 60hz one, as these monitors like to boast a lot of things but when you get them a lot of things are amiss, such as 100 sgbr gamut, when this one puts out 71%
7:14 holy shit you can break those rocks in Celeste???? I was shitting myself in that stage going around the walls wtf
nice. i've been thinking about repurposing my 15 year old 13 in vga lcd monitor to use as a 2nd monitor for my mini pc but now i think this would be a better option...wish it was a touchscreen though.
Seems like they hired a Sr. graphic designer as the branding is much more sleek on the newer ones.
I have a k39 itx build so I think I will buy this.
I'm thinking about using this as a secondary for my laptop
With the stand, you put it on wrong. The ad shows it the others way to where it is sitting on the flap and it sticks out in front of the screen
Can you charge the steam deck at 45W through the monitor with the official deck power brick?
Yes you can
@@ACM1PTLOCO I bought it like a year ago and I realize about this feature like 2 months ago. Checking the specs of the monitor, I saw that it had PD 2.0. Pretty solid option for enhancing the steam deck experience.
The PS5 won't let me enable anything higher than 720p 60hz on this monitor.
Any suggestions?
The Steam Deck running Windows would've used the refresh-rate properly, but, it's not exactly a high fps machine.
Did you try to set the xbox to 120hz first in settings? There are multiple videos on youtube to watch on how to do it. Because this was my problem aswell
Perfect for camping or installing in your vehicle
I know this video is old but I have gotten the steam deck to go beyond 60 fps on this monitor using a jsaux dock and the included hdmi cord. Be advised the hdmi cord included is special in the connectors so you will want to use it......
Wow in 120hz is amazing 😮❤
I’m using it to take to smash brother tournaments!
you can get 120hz for xbox seriesX/S you just have to override in display settings to HDMI
Do any of the portable monitors you’ve reviewed support the 40hz refresh rate? Might be something worth covering in the future 😋
Why do you want 40HZ?
@@sladehunter A lot of newer games on Steam Deck can only go up to roughly 40FPS consistently. Most can't reach a consistent 60FPS. So 40FPS will allow you to get a reasonable locked frame rate for most newer Steam Deck games instead of settling for only 30FPS. So 40Hz options are great for people who intend to use it with Steam Deck.
You can get this screen working with series S and steam deck 120 hz but it takes some fidgeting in the settings.
How do you do it for steam deck? Thanks
There are other China brands like Uperfect, Zeuslap etc. also at interesting pricepoints from warehouse that is within your region.
Actually PS5 is portable, well kind of. I have a set up of solar power battery charger (Can play for 5 hours) + PS5 Clip on monitor. I had it set up in my car (Honda Accord Hybrid), but since removed it, as I find I don't use PS5 that much.
Thanks a lot!
I am curious why I am getting a NO SIGNAL error in my Arzopa.
Hi! I can't get PS5 to run 120hz on the same monitor, what's the different cable or settings do you set/use from things out of box?
finally a second screen for my laptop
8:51 I am building an ITX PC that I could travel with, and so this screen would be good for it
What cord did you use for the ps5 so it can be played at 120hz???
You could try a USB type C to HDMI for the Xbox to see if it work.
Hoping you're able to answer this today, as the 60hz versions are half price on Amazon. Can you tell me if the 60hz model can also work with just one cable with the Steamdeck and it supply the power to monitor as this 144hz model does? I have a Baseus 65W 20,000Mah powerbank that I can use as well. The issue is where I'd be needing the monitor the most, has no power outlet nearby. Thanks for the video!
Hi, I can't say for certain since I haven't tested the Arzopa 60Hz, but I have tried other 60Hz panels and yes the Steam Deck can power them and supply the video out at the same time. Just to be safe make sure the item you are buying has free returns!
@@RetroGameCorps Much appreciated, thank you

I have swapped between both inputs and did the same with the input button. Still says no signal. Any tips or information you may know to solve my issue?
@@RetroGameCorps Ok, sorry for the dual messages, but wanted to clear this up. It didnt seem to want to work unless you use the USB C to C cable they provide with the monitor(tried 3 different ones before theirs). None of my other cables would work, no idea why. I wonder if the 17.3" version works with Steam Deck and one cable?
Yeah, especially if it will work for console's, handhelds, and smartphones.
I believe you have to run games from Steam Deck desktop mode to get it to output atv144hz
Bought this for my lenovo legion go😁

The forza 5 controller looks soooo gooooood. i wish i could get something like that for my kingkong 2 pro wireless controller.
It's a fun little controller!
Where is one that you can charge up needing no power cord
Does this provide the necessary 45W to charge the steamdeck when connected to the wall?
If anyone is still trying to get steam deck working, on the latest beta os if you disable automatic display scaling you get a menu that lets you choose the resolution and refresh rate. I had an option for 120 hz, and can confirm it works on the arzopa g1 with both hdmi and usb c
Awesome, thanks for the feedback!
a little update: just received my dock from Steam, and there is now an option for the full 144hz refresh rate. Very nice
