Thank you very much for this wonderful video, which serves society, serves tourists, serves the economy, and brings the whole world to an end for acquaintance and knowledge about these beautiful countries in Latin America.
@@brownboytravels I was thinking next week flying out of Toronto, got my new x4 for this trip, could also plan some content for the channels incase you’re interested this coming week What’s the best way to reach you? Insta?
Wow great tips I’m traveling to Guatemala next month! Also in the beginning where you’re discussing money where is that beach location at (with the volcano in the background)? Scenery looks beautiful!
That’s lake Atitlan Check the video for it, it is a beautiful magical place My Guatemala list has a lot more from Antigua, Atitlan, Semuc Champey and Tikal to name a few
Gotta agree with most of the commentators,pPretty decent information. Guatemala gets dangerous at dusk ... even earlier in the sketchy neighbourhoods. Those chicken bus drivers think they are in the Indy 500 (autosport) ! Never take one at night as the risk of going over a cliff only increases
@@brownboytravels yeah, the other thing was that the other passengers looked at you funny because there were two of you in a seat while the Guatemalans had 3 - 4 in a seat
Honestly I would recommend he king with the hotel. There are so many at all times and booking on the spot is a lot cheaper than booking online. I would recommend the Main Street of every town for your agencies 😀
It is so cheap in Guatemala I got from the airport to downtown 50 q a hostile with six US dollars a night and I averaged $20 a day which included food. I spent a month and spent under $500 including everything
Love ur vlogs! How would i go about exchanging US dollars to Guatemalan quetzales for the best rates? Do you have any banks or cambios in Guatemala city you would recommend?
I luckily have a bank that allows good exchange rates and no conversion fees so I used the ATM’s but generally it is good to avoid airports and tourist areas exchange rates, they offer the worst value
Just came back from Guatemala in February. The airport rate wasn't bad but I did better with the ATM in Antigua. Very secure and safe with security guards at the entrance.
Thank you so much for making this helpful video. About the exit tax it seems included in my airline ticket. I’m flying with the United Airlines. Is there anyone can confirm about the exit tax? Thanks 🙏
I never been to Guatemala. But, the takeaway that I got from MOST of this video is I probably should avoid going to Guatemala; especially if things are expensive there compared to a place like Peru, etc. and especially if there seems to be a 50/50 split in the good people vs. the people who would try to take advantage of foreigners. Plus, unlike other countries people speak absolutely no English? That's something to note as well.
Absolutely wrong on the not going part, Guatemala is a stunning and really unique country. Go well prepared and you’ll have fun and enjoy it better. That’s the main takeaway 😊

Thank you so much, especially your suggestion of downloading the Spanish pack of Google Translate. I have not thought of that! :)
It is pretty much a necessity, although I am finding ChatGPT to be quite useful for translations now

The one bus I took was enough for the experience. I am too tall for the seats haha

Honestly I think the best thing would be to check with the airline but keep some money as precaution anyway
What sunglasses 😎 are you wearing?
Some generic glasses 😊
