If I had a dollar for every cgi animated movie with Batman in it that changed a lot of characters to the point that I didn’t understand anything. I’d have $2.
Makes me fear of the idea of a RWBY x Marvel movie, because they probably would take Spider-Man and make him a literal Spider Man. Or make Wolverine a literal Wolverine faunus or some shit like.that
As a DC and RWBY Fan,I Never Expected this to actually happen Other than Fanfictions,It looks Enjoyable but I have to admit that it’s a Strange Crossover.
Kinda like how the Comic was. Had ALOT of people questioning the Crossover. I’ll at least say this about it. This Animated Movie. It has A Genuine Mystery behind this Digital Realm that’s gotten both Teams trying to Figure out the World their all in! And it’s kinda interesting that All of them are trapped. It gives me both a Digimon feel with how these characters, As well as How I’m curious how the Justice League realm was created. And questions as to whom was the True Mastermind behind this!
As a RWBY fan this movie was just good fun. It was far more heavy on the RWBY lore than I expected and I feared that those who were Justice League fans and didn't know anything about RWBY might get lost. Thank you for sharing your perspective. It seems to have confirmed my suspicions that you were indeed confused just as much at the Justice League characters were themselves. It was definitely more of a RWBY movie than a Justice League movie.
Been out of the loop of RWBY but from what I remember, each person in the RWBY world has semblance, just gotta activate aura, so Batman gets those powers by default. Him getting wings are more a genetic thing than a semblance thing, so I wouldn’t count as a superpower.
@@thekingofcookies4877 honestly, the only change I like in the film is that they gave Batman Wings and Used the Superman Returns/Smallville Chest Logo as opposed to how they looked in the comic.

There's actually a comic where Batman gets Superman's powers and he does act kind of like he does in the movie so it makes sense I think especially adding the teen thing. Also to the whole why change the designs for the DC cast to fit RWBY thing there was a comic book crossover where the plot was what if the JL had counterparts on RWBY's world so that's why they have these designs they had them already so they probably wanted to use them again. So for a smidgeon of context, the RWBY X JL comic is set during the first portion of the show, which is when team RWBY and team JNPR are attending a school for monster hunters. The movies are set wayyyy after when they’re actually monster hunters, so the simulation they’re in is a training program produced presumably by the government they’re working for at the time and Killgore’s prison is built on their memories of school. Also, it’s written in a way that it’s not realistically canon but also doesn’t contradict any canon material.
This movie is like sorta canonical in the sense that it takes place after season 7 of Rwby but in the actual show none of the characters have acknowlaged this happening so it might be an alternate universe or just lazy writing to fit in better with the current things that are happening in the show.
i think people would like this more of the styles which during movies, they already have an in universe reason why RWBY change their outfits when they enter the DC world, but it would make sense if im remnant they had the rwby style but when they enter the DC Universe in part 2, what if everything was a classic 2D animation, speaking as a rwby fan i would love to see RWBY in 2D animation
i really hate tropes too, i find them very cringe when an meant to adult or teenage person says something a 8 year old would say and then getting cheered up by their friends or getting hated by an adult person who has some cringe evil plan
I think the writters of Rwby chose early on the characters they would like to see on this crossover, you can not Aquaman is not in it even tho they made a Aquaman RWBY version in the comics. So that's why Vixen, Cyborg and Jessica Cruz. You're missing that the Rwby's characters had real deep storyline like Ruby wanting to be a better leader comparing herself to Superman.
5:55-5:59 I disagree with this point you made here. "You do not need superpowers to be a superhero"-Nick Fury If you go out save the day at all, that is enough to classify you as a superhero. And don't forget Batman is not the only non-powered hero in the DC Universe (in particular, Green Arrow). However, I strongly agree that they should not give Batman supernatural superpowers and written him thinking that he is worthless out them. The entire appeal of this character is that he is a badass normal with Charles Atlas superpowers. A Superhero who is better without supernatural powers, albeit with a dark and edgy theme to contrast Green Arrow who is lighter and softer. Making him a straight-up super goes against this design philosophy Batman was founded upon.
of course the problem is batman works in comics but, when literally every combatant is stronger and more durable than any normal human it starts to get a little ridiculous that bats can be involved without heavy preparation. you have to be very careful with him to make his character work when everyone around him is super.
This was definitely a product made for RWBY fans, not necessarily DC fans. As a fan of both, I like this product... But it's weird AF. It's especially weird to me that they use the Season 1-3 character designs and characterization for RWBY, but they wake up in their season 7-9 designs. I have no idea what's going on in the timeline, it doesn't make any sense. Maybe it's season 7? Anyway, this was weird. We're no longer a justice league, and we're no longer a RWBY (or a JNPR) either
I feel like this movie would have been better if it was entirely from the perspective of the justice league with each of them sent to different continents of this world, learning about it as the audience does, slowly teaming up with the main cast until they would all meet up at the academy, where the main characters of RWBY would be found. Also, send Superman to wherever Salem lives, and say that that place absorbs all sunlight, which is why A: It's so dark ther, and 2: Why Superman is weaker in this world, because he's slowly being drained of power. Have Superman's parts of the film be like the Superman Aliens crossover from the 90s where he's trying to survive in a strange alien world while slowly losing power. Obviously, we're no longer a justice league
Bruce has had this arc before in the comics, when given the powers of other leaguers (namely Superman) where he feels like he can do more, be more. The comics version was Adult Bruce, so it makes sense a kid Bruce would think the same way.
Vee infuso its a random crossover movie, with rwby character it feels like a crazy fever dream. I know a little bit about rwby, but I am not a expert on each character but this film in terms of writing feels really clunky?
Even as a rwby and dc fan I hate this first movie. This movie came out earlier this year after the ninth season of RWBY had finished airing, But that show’s canon places it in its seventh season. That season had a montage episode which means any amount of time could’ve passed from days to weeks to months. A video game came out that can also be placed during this time. Just like any animé movie, the events of said movie are never brought up in the show proper.
"obviously were no longer a justice league." I only saw this because I have friends who are RWBY fans and one insisted we watch and the on the had no interest. We watched anyways and even they didn't understand what was going on half the time despite having knowledge of both series.
Here a way to explain it: Remember the episode of Young Justice where Superman Batman and the others died and the Young Justice was the only protectors of the world, only for it to be a training simulation and nothing of it really happenned? Well it's the same, but this tome, the people training were RWBY characters.
RWBY started as a bunch of spectacle fights loosly held together with a shoestring plot. It got better, then the creater died, and they lost a lot of the spectacle for a bit. Makes sence that the fights are the best part.
This cross over through me off i didn't know why they looked like the way they look im not familiar with ruby but its not for me but maybe the teen titans would have worked right instead of the J.L.
As both a RWBY and Batman/DC fan, I really enjoyed this. It's odd how many times RWBY and DC have collaborated. First the RWBY/Justice League comic, then the DC/RWBY comic, and now these two movies. I went into the film with low expectations, and came out loving it. It's no masterpiece or anything. If you don't know anything about RWBY, you're not gonna get this film. This movie was very much made for me, someone who loves both and can enjoy a fanfiction on a screen. Could've been a lot better, but also could've been a lot worse
Wait till you see what early RWBY animation was like 😶 Honestly I have no idea why they went with this style. The team behind RWBY is much better than this at this point, and WB has skilled animators... Unless neither team really cared about the product. That'd check out 😅
I remember in Frank Miller’s All Star Batman and Robin series Batman fantasized about using Green Lantern’s power ring to take over the world because that’s what a smart person would do with the ring lol. I think a more toned down version of that would fit canon Batman.Batman is arrogant and would probably think he could use superpowers to do a better job than the other heroes.
Bro RWBY stopped making sense Vol 3 half way onwards. Vol 1-3 was enjoyable when it didnt take it self seriously and were focused on light heartedness and it's well choreographed fights. Besides how the hell can you watch this Justice League and not cringe after watching Dark and Apocalyptic War. Besides instead of having the Justice League regressed to teens why not bring the Teen Titans instead. Also RWBY doesnt have a 'continuity', everything and everyone is changed in every volume.
the RWBY character's flashbacks you showed are *all* key moments from the show at least the first few seasons. TBH this would have been better as a Titans story. I'd watch this, but i fell out of the RWBY fandom when I broke up with the the person who got me into it :/
Im a big dc fan and big rwby recently finished its current volume Honestly i didn't think the movie was all that bad, i really like wonder womans design, super man's desisign..i really liked the green lantern in this! i wasnt the biggest fan of Batman having powers, but i can deal with it. I did really like the scenes between weiss and Batman, and wonder woman with yang and blake.. overall i think its one of the better movies to come out this year. And i would definitely like to see more parts.
Wait this exists as a movie? I heard there was a comic about this crossover and I actually didn’t hate the concept. I liked the designs I saw for the comic but I didn’t get too far into it. (I didn’t have the time) but I’m pretty sure in that they weren’t supposed to be thrown into the world unfamiliar with it they were just meant to be this world’s version of the Justice league. It’s true it’s really out there but I was willing to give it a chance. I think they did Batman a little dirty here though. I’m not sure why they made this. A teenage Bruce Wayne still has an overpowered intellect in my opinion. I don’t think they really got Batman’s character.
Also I'd like to say that what you understand what each RWBY character has gone through just by watching this movie alone is much better than any writing from the actual RWBY show itself, this is the most well written these RWBY characters have been and probably ever will be. My biggest issue is that it's established RWBY characters with a Justice League we've never seen before, only created for this movie.
I think you might be being slightly unfair to Vixen... but I will say it's odd how they keep trying to push her on audiences. I mean the arrowverse animated series (2015) for example and the compilation movie of same from 2017 were pretty good. Which is funny I enjoyed it more than I do any of the live action Arrowverse shows. Though it was nice to have the Arrow/Flash/Supergirl characters voiced by the live action cast. That said I think that this would have worked better if they had instead of using the League, gone with an existing younger cast like the Titans or YJ. Heh, could you imagine Damien and Connor in this universe? Hell, bring along Jason and Guy for comic relief.
hilariously enough, while you're not a fan of RWBY, your summarization of the lore, the semblances, Dust, grimm, the faunus or half animal people. its a perfectly accurate description, and fans say those are badly explained
Batman always had super powers: money, plot armor, batwank, popularity and the super ability that every single fucking product must be related to him somehow.....
that and also that in ensemble stuff everyone else must be made less effective so Bats can be relevant. remember Superman is also incredibly smart and deals with Lex fucking Luthor, dude isn't alone in that.
@@TGPDrunknHick It all comes from the batwank idea that he could defeat superman thanks to the dark knight story by frank miller. And how does he do it in that story? by cheating using kriptonite and needing help from others while superman didnt even wanted to fight bruce in the first place. Hell, kriptonite doesnt turn off his powers, it only makes him feel sick. There is no reason why superman could just freeze the kriptonite with his breath or trow it to the other side of the planet before batman could even blink. Hell what does that even achieve in storytelling? that the rich paranoid asshole is right that no one can be nice and kindess is stupid? Then the favoritism by bruce timm with the animated universe happened, and then zack snyder just thought that a hopeful shinning hero like clark is stupid. Its been 30 years of non-stop batwank, we get a bunch of shows and video games with batman everywhere but superman cant get a single video game without making him evil..... There is an animated superman shows in the near future with an animeish look, hope that one is good....
Quite a bit better than I expected. The Trinity were a lot of fun, especially young Bruce being a little awkward and out of his depth compared to the usual hypercompetent Bruce. And the Jessica + Jaune teamup was something I never would have thought of, but one that makes a lot of sense. Her and Mari were probably my favorite of the Leaguers.
@@JessicaChastainFan Did we watch the same movie. Shredder beat Batman in their first fight and was dominating the second. That movie was really good Batman wasn't the Almighty god who was right about everything and was unbeatable in combat and the turtles weren't weakened and their shell razor did a better job than the Bat Mobile. If you didn't like the movie fine that's fair but don't lie about it's contents.
Around the time this movie came out, and even when Season 9 was airing, people who never watched the show found clips out of context, and also this show definitely works on a budget, and complained the show wasn't the best looking thing in the world visually. Again, especially complaining about shit they had no context for, therefore had no right to complain.
the movies isn't good explaining the RWBY universe No duh the RWBY isn't good at explaining the RWBY universe they patch most of it up with supplemental material lol
The animal-people(faunus) are an oppressed minority in the RWBY-canon so seeing Bruce Wayne of all people being transformed into one is definitely an oddity that, judging from your video, is never acknowledged in the movie. Who signed of on all this?
Wow. You obviously didn't enjoy this, so why did you even bother to review it? Was it just to convince people to not watch it? This is the first video of yours I've seen, and all you've done is convince me not to watch anymore.

As a Ruby and DC fan I'm beyond has none of us wanted this I don't even think the people who make Ruby really wanted to do this Warner Brothers wanted them to do this since Ruby is their most popular IP and all honesty

watched it other ways some people when they noticed it came out early like three days earlier than it was supposed to or Redbox went and watched it there
And a large amount of Ruby fans who watched this movie and who been waiting two years or 3 to get season 9 of Ruby which was delayed because they were working on this Justice League two-parter movie our kind of upset because volume nine was probably finish sometime ago
But got pushed back I think wb wanted to see how their cross over movie dose and this well see if they want to green light season 10

......... Ah....... I was vaguely curious if there was a pronunciation for that letter combination. You know more than I do, sir.
Batman acting OOC? How could the writers make such a decision?
*See that the writer is Meghan Fitzmartin*
Oh…..oh that explains it
Thankfully is not canon but I highly recommend the first 3 season of RWBY this is when the creator Monty work in before sadly pass away
The movie ends showing this takes place during Volume 7, when they're still training at Atlas academy, is could very well be Canon.
@@thelazygamer1639 Still non-canon to me. Otherwise, why no one mention the Justice League in Vol 8 to 9.
Also, alternate timeliness are a thing.
Makes sence that the fights are the best part.
i can explain why Vixen was randomly thrown into this movie: furries. it was bait for the furries.
Up there with Japan Batman 🦇
you didn't like anchorman two?
Obviously we're no longer a Justice league
Is this a reupload?
Oh god. This animation is pretty off putting.
Wait till you see what early RWBY animation was like 😶
Honestly I have no idea why they went with this style. The team behind RWBY is much better than this at this point, and WB has skilled animators... Unless neither team really cared about the product. That'd check out 😅
is that a 3d anime
I like the sleek cyborg
man, i'm sorry you had to see this....
Who wanted this?!
Part 2??? there's even going to be a part 2 of this shit??? Lord have mercy on us!
Agreed. Second half of V3 tanked the show's enjoyability.
Probably shouldn't have included Batman in this at all.
Still shocked they never did a rvb x rwby crossover
Not a great movie but I loved green lantern.
Well DC streak of being a better animated film, than marvel. 😅
thanks for letting me know this exist, havent watched Rwby in a while surpirsed by how far they gotten as an ip
On one hand i am confused about this whole movie, but then again imma still watch it cause why not 🤷🏿♂️
I actually liked this movie cant wait for part 2 lol. Also I’ve never seen any single RWBY episode in my life.
the RWBY character's flashbacks you showed are *all* key moments from the show at least the first few seasons. TBH this would have been better as a Titans story.
I'd watch this, but i fell out of the RWBY fandom when I broke up with the the person who got me into it :/
as for the costumes, they were all in their Season 1 forms, they've all grown and changed a lot since then
Im a big dc fan and big rwby recently finished its current volume Honestly i didn't think the movie was all that bad, i really like wonder womans design, super man's desisign..i really liked the green lantern in this! i wasnt the biggest fan of Batman having powers, but i can deal with it.
Reup?
WELL, obviously we are no longer a justice league.
I personally enjoyed the justice league RWBY crossover movie and can't wait for part 2.
It's too much and not enough.
Yeah they reallly messed with Batman's character personality wise to an unnecessary level.
hilariously enough, while you're not a fan of RWBY, your summarization of the lore, the semblances, Dust, grimm, the faunus or half animal people. its a perfectly accurate description, and fans say those are badly explained
Remember when you did wrestling stuff me neither
Quite a bit better than I expected. The Trinity were a lot of fun, especially young Bruce being a little awkward and out of his depth compared to the usual hypercompetent Bruce.
And the Jessica + Jaune teamup was something I never would have thought of, but one that makes a lot of sense. Her and Mari were probably my favorite of the Leaguers.
Hey Vee sometime you should totally take take a look at the Batman Vs. TMNT movie. It’s a way better crossover then this.
Batman as a teen would be quiet and moody
So Batman.
Why didn’t the teen titans show up?
trust me, as an og rwby fan, its garbage now, and this movie set is about all thats worse
It’s not supposed weird I loved it both part 1 and 2
YOU ARE NOT MY LEAST FAVORITE RUclipsR, STOP IT.
DC, How dare you let RWBY get anywhere near the Justice League. Over 20 movies and this 1 made me quit within 10 minutes.
DC UNIVERSE.. LEAVE ANIME ALONE! 😠
DC heroes get isekaid. 😂
The Batman thing isnt that big of an issue
There's ton of Elseworld's stories where he has powers.
You missed the whole point huh?
Vee you should watch Batman vs. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
It had no right being as good as it is.
No. The Turtles and Shredder easily job to Bat God, and the story is weak. DC clearly had creative control, and it was awful.
If you didn't like the movie fine that's fair but don't lie about it's contents.
yaaaaaaa gr8
rwby and dc should not mix maybe they might make a good movie
Yeah I had no idea what RWBY was until I saw this movie getting promoted and I was like huh this looks interesting lol
Around the time this movie came out, and even when Season 9 was airing, people who never watched the show found clips out of context, and also this show definitely works on a budget, and complained the show wasn't the best looking thing in the world visually.
Again, especially complaining about shit they had no context for, therefore had no right to complain.
RWBY is not an anime! 😂
i liked the white girl's powers that's all I'm going to say
the movies isn't good explaining the RWBY universe
No duh the RWBY isn't good at explaining the RWBY universe they patch most of it up with supplemental material lol
No reason for this crossover. Don't watch the series, as a fan of Rwby I got a strong dislike for it.
Yea I will never watch this i really really hate rwby. I'm dc 4 life but even I have limits.
