Hi your recipes are awesome. I have tried many. I have made similar waffles many times. Just a tip, if you have extra egg whites leftover from other recipes, use them here. I have done this previously and it makes the waffles just that much more airy and light and enjoyable. Thanks. Watching you from South Africa.
I have a waffle maker and I always make my own waffles. So different from the ones in the grocery store.I still watch your amazing recipes.I love to bake.My Mom taught me so much recipes.❤❤
We made our first batch of these waffles today and they turned out great. We are having them for Easter brunch with the kids and grandkids. I love your recipes! They always turn out ❤❤❤
I have made them with yeast but, frankly, I prefer chemical leavening. Also 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar (no more) per egg white will yield slightly better results. This only applies to whipping them in glass bowls.
I prefer the Brussels waffle, when I eat a gauffre de Liège I pick out all the sugargranules... I had the best gauffre de Bruxelles at 'Aux gauffres de Bruxelles, rue Marché aux herbes in the centre of Brussels. It's been a while now since I moved to Antwerp...
They are amazing ! I tried the exact recipe for my friends and For me I exchanged the flour with oat one with a spoon of corn strach - still amazing crispy vanilla gluten free version of it
I don't have a waffle maker, but I can try them on a griddle. 🤩I love your fluffy pancakes and keep the extras in the freezer and pre make the dry in a jar on the shelf to pull down and add the wet to cook up when the freezer is empty! 🥰
Dry ingredients 270 team flour Baking powder 4tsps Salt 50 grams sugar Mix this, Wet ingredients: 2 eggs Separate the egg, yolk in a bowl And whites in a bowl In the yolk: 2 cups of whole milk Half a cup of vegetable oil 120ml 2 teaspoons of vanilla Hand mixer to the egg whites + add sugar Then combine the wet to the dry and mix it almost evenly, then add the egg whites , and fold the mixture
I was just scrolling through RUclips and looking for the title, ‘How to Make Belgian Waffles’. Then I looked at your video, then I was like ‘Aha! This was what I was looking for!’ 😅 Thanks for this, you help so much! 😊
I just made these for my in laws this morning and they were a hit! ❤ I followed the recipe to the letter and they were hands down best waffles I ever made! Thank you so much for sharing
We love waffles at our house. My husband has collected character shaped waffle makers, and is the official waffle maker for our five grandchildren. However, now it is time for ME to get a Belgian waffle maker! These look amazing!
I love Belgian waffles! I watched them being made in Bruges and I was surprised to see that they were getting soft balls of ‘dough’ off a tray to put in the waffle iron. You said they are many different ways to make them and that way was a different way for sure! Thanks for your version ❤
They look amazing John, I can’t wait to make them!!! Thank you for sharing with us. Have a very blessed Easter week, I am off to church for Good Friday mass. Have a great week and thanks again!! 🥀 Tina 🥀
Your recipe comes at the perrrrfect time 😁 as I'll be serving Brussels style mussels for dinner and what better than crispy waffles covered with sugar or chocolate sauce for dessert 😊
2 1/4 cups flour 4 teaspoons baking powder 3/4 teaspoons sea salt 1/4 cup sugar Mix 2 teaspoons vanilla 1/2 cup vegetable oil 2 cups whole milk 2 egg yolks Mix gently Slowly add dry ingredients to wet Whisk egg whites until stiff white peaks form Fold egg whites into batter Cook in lightly greased waffle iron 5-10 minutes on medium high heat
Hi dear 😊 last night we have this delicious waffles, your recipe turns pretty good and this morning 😋 we will have them mm delicious. Usually I made several recipes from you. Thanks you so much. God bless you 💖
Gracias por la receta lo voy a preparar y le estaré comentando. Solo una pregunta que tiempo lo deja por que se ven muy bien 👍 en mi wuaflera no puedo dejar hasta que se cambie el automático ya que se doran demás.
Can I hire you for my personal chef??? OMG these look sooo delicious. I know what I'm making for Good Friday breakfast. Thank you for sharing. 2 thumbs up.
John, I recently got a new waffle maker and, not having seen your recipe, prepared Belgian Waffles using the recipe that came along with the waffle iron. The recipe was very similar to yours, and the waffles turned out perfectly. My question for you - is it ok to refrigerate the extra batter for a few days and simply use it as needed? Or, is this a no-no?
For a "make the night before" batter, can I combine the whipped egg whites with the wet ingredients, or should I keep them separate until after I have stirred the wet and dry ingredients together?
that makes sense that there's multiple types of Belgian waffles. I've made the yeasted version with pearled sugar and everything for my mom's birthday and I was thinking "huh, this is different"
We love Belgian waffles so much that I’m needing to buy a new waffle maker! Mine is 10 years old and has seen better days. I’m going to print this recipe!

I love waffles, and this is a great recipe! Thanks for sharing it! 😊
This is my go to recipe. Fluffy sweet with a lovely vanilla scent. Frozen in individual baggy and put in toaster next day. Love it!!!
I have made them with yeast but, frankly, I prefer chemical leavening. Also 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar (no more) per egg white will yield slightly better results. This only applies to whipping them in glass bowls.

Thank you for the recipe. My boys love waffles 🧇.
Interestingly, we don't eat those over here, in Belgium 😂
We differentiate between Brussels waffles (fluffy), Liegeois (solid), and so on.
and we dont eat fruit on waffles (only strawberries are maybe allowed), or put sirup on them. but they do look tasty, but noting like belgium waffles
Wow, seeing you make these waffles gave me an idea.
Tried and tested. This recipe delivered all it said it would. Thank you.
Used oat milk for my son and they still turned out amazing. Thank you!

I love to sweeten pancakes and waffles with honey instead of sugar. It makes them taste richer
Would love if you could make a video for the yeasted waffle with pearl sugar too, please 🙏 😅
Mr. Preppy could you make a video on how to make banana nut muffins ? I love your content !!
PERFECT AND DELISH! I can’t cook for a damn but you made me a star John! Thanks !!!!!
For a "make the night before" batter, can I combine the whipped egg whites with the wet ingredients, or should I keep them separate until after I have stirred the wet and dry ingredients together?
270 g faina
4 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
50 g zahar
2 oua separated
in gălbenușuri
480 ml lapte
120 ml oil
vanilla extract
bati albusurile
I am from India and love your recipes very much...I want to buy a waffle maker but don't know what to check plz suggest me
The waffles rose okay but the flavor was a bit bland. It definitely needs more flavor so adding more nilla or something else would help.
Add brown sugar instead of granulated
@@VanSheGoesagreed!
Hi John- Can I use olive oil instead of veg or canola oil?
Beautiful Thank you 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🌹
Hello from Belgium 😊!

Really delicious. 🙂😊.
Do your version of Leige waffles
Can you add pearl sugar to the batter to make liege (sp) waffles?

Can you use a normal waffle iron or do you need a belgien one?
I was today years old when I learned I can make a big batch of waffles and freeze 🥶 them. I feel so silly and also excited for my future 🧇 consumption!
I saw your other waffle recipe as well, which one between these is a nicer waffle or crispier one?
It would be cool to add in the amount of servings put into these recipes after or before its been cooked
Why don't you use one of those copper pans to beat your egg whites behind you? I have always heard they help make better peeks.
Incredible!
Can you freeze the batter?
