    If you freezer COLD the cheese ( not freezer frozen ! ) - it mandolins better than being room warm or refrigerator cool and smooshing across the mandolin.

    I've asked so many RUclipsrs to try make homemade stuffing mix and cook it in the waffle iron. You can make mashed potatoes,turkey, cranberry salad and gravy open face sandwich on it. You can make a holiday sandwich with leftover stuffing. But know one has ever answered my request. Love your videos 😊 thank you.

      daunehartman4679,
      This fills a turkey so you will have plenty of it. Cook them ahead of time and snack on them later. Or cut the recipe in half.
      ¼ cup margarine or butter (softened)
      9 cups soft bread cubes
      ¼ cup finely chopped onion
      1 teaspoon salt
      ½ teaspoon ground sage
      ½ teaspoon dried thyme leaves
      ¼ teaspoon pepper
      1½ cups chopped celery (with leaves) (optional)
      Mix it all together until the bread crumbs become kind of soft. Spread it on the waffle iron and cook about 3 to 5 minutes. (Time will vary depending on your waffle iron).
      I'd suggest you get a cook book by Betty Crocker, Better Homes and Gardens or Good Housekeeping. They have more recipes than you can cook in a lifetime.
      Also, you can Google "Stuffing recipes" and get a ton of recipes.

    WebSpoon World,
    Might I suggest that you wait to add the buttermilk until after you have cooked your mincemeat? Reason being is that the baking powder is doing it's thing (and getting weaker while you are cooking. Even if your baking powder is "double acting" you are loosing about two thirds of your leavening.
    I recommend mixing the dry ingredients, cooking the mincemeat, THEN mix the liquid in, and finally, add your cooked mincemeat.
    Just a thought.

    Hello Chef Alex! 11 Dec 23.
    I'm still happily dropping my eggs in a glass bowl!!😄.
    When I make an omelet, I like to use the Chicken Of The Sea,
    Wild Caught Pink Salmon in the pouch.
    It's very tasty, most especially when its sauteéd in grapeseed oil, and butter, with chopped Vidalia onions, slivers of raw garlic, Parsley flakes, Ground Ginger, Herbs De Provence, a small pinch of celery seeds, and just a bit of Fine Sea Salt.
    After these ingredients are sautéed, I sprinkle in, two tablespoons of 4C grated Parmesan cheese, to hold the mix together, then I spoon the mixture inside of my omelet, with a slice of Pepper Jack cheese, that gives it a spicy kick of flavor, and a delicious cheesy finish! Thanks again for your wonderful videos!

    I love all of these waffle recipes and I can't wait to try them. Question, how do you clean your waffle iron? I have a vintage All-Clad that is so difficult to clean, you cannot remove the grates, but it is a good appliance so I kept it.

    • @tarnishedknight730
      @tarnishedknight730 Год назад +1

      rufusred44,
      Use a toothbrush (when the iron is cool) and a drop of dish soap. Keep your iron tipped on its side, so you don't get water inside. Rinse it with a really damp, but not dripping wet, towel or paper towels.
      Lastly, heat it up again and wipe a little bacon grease or olive oil on it while it's still hot. This will "season" the griddle and help it release easier, and make cleanup a little easier too.
      All Clad was a good iron, take care of it and it will take care of you.

    Is there any difference between finely chopping garlic with a knife and using the garlic press?

    • @HeirOfNothingInParticular
      @HeirOfNothingInParticular Год назад +1

      The press is much quicker and keeps the garlic juice from your fingers.

    • @WebspoonWorld
      @WebspoonWorld  Год назад +1

      Certainly! While both methods can add garlic flavor to your dishes, there are some differences

    • @tarnishedknight730
      @tarnishedknight730 Год назад

      michellemoorer4869,
      With a garlic press, you get the juice only.
      Mincing (finely chopping) you get the pieces of garlic as well, which means a little more (and stronger) flavor.
      Tip: Put a small amount of water on the garlic when mincing it. This keeps it from sticking to your knife, chopping board, your fingers, the cat and so on.

    I’ve been trying to find a waffle iron like yours with only the two sections. But no luck . Please let me know the make of the one you use. Thanks

      It somewhat depends on what country you are in. You can google '2-square waffle iron images' to see an assortment.
