Omg! Great recipe! I added about 3 tsps of ground flax seeds and same amount of hemp seeds. I didn't have buttermilk so I used 1 cup of coconut milk and about 3 tsps of greek yogurt. I used about 1/3c melted butter instead of the 1/2c of oil and wow. My boyfriend thought they were the best Waffles ever! He ate two full waffles with two eggs and a sausage! They tasted amazing! I have the Waring Pro Double Waffle Maker. Makes thick waffles with deep pockets. Excellent waffle maker! Easy to use. I've had it for years. It was one of the best Christmas presents I've ever received. 😊💕
I love your recipes. You are direct and to the point in your method and also while you talk. I really love that. There are many others who keep on talking and talking and talking to a point where I just stop watching the video becoz they werent to the point. Thank you.
Making them right now! They look yummy. My family keeps coming to the kitchen to ask when they’ll be ready lol. I used European butter instead of oil because I didn’t have any in stock. The butter clumped up once in the buttermilk mixture. I then read online to mix the eggs & buttermilk first and it won’t clump. Thank you!!
Thank you - made these this morning and worked beautifully - 4 minutes on our little electric double-iron. Used 2 bowls, one whisk - just after the whites were fluffy mixed the ingredients and folded the whites in and they kept their fluffiness all the way to the end of the batch.
I made them this morning and both of my kids said “these are the best waffles you’ve ever made !”. Thanks for sharing this recipe Forgot to mention that I added finely chopped pecans to batter
Just made waffles today using this recipe. They were delicious....crispy and flavorful. I doubled all ingredients (except sugar) and had enough for 8-9 total waffles that were about 6" diameter. This will be my go to recipe from now on
Anna it's been 7 years since you posted this video and it is still my absolute favorite waffle recipe for my double waffle iron. I do substitute stevia for the sugar. Still light, fluffy and very good flavor.
I tried this recipe this morning. I added lemon zest and the waffles came out awesome! Fresh whipped cream and Amerena cherries were my topping of choice.
This is my very belated )) thank you response. I found this recipe back in March at the beginning of lockdown while searching for some new ideas to cook at home. Ones upon a time I've tried to make waffles, and bought the waffle iron. I did not find any recipe I liked back then, and the iron has been collecting the dust inside my kitchen cabinet for about good ten years, or so ))). Because of your recipe the iron stays on the countertop permanently now. It's truly the best recipe! So easy and fast, and absolutely the best. I store the rest of freshly baked waffles into freezer, then defrost them in toaster, and they are still amazing. Thank you so much Anna!
I make this recipe all the time, they turn out perfect Everytime. If you are worried about left over batter is suggest just making the entire batch, storing the left over waffles in the fridge or freezer and toast them in a toaster oven for quick breakfast . They crisp up nicely and taste even better reheated.
Now THIS is the waffle recipe I've been looking for. The separating the egg technique is the magic trick. And I was using too much flour in my batter. I can't wait to make another batch.
I trust her recipes, and was not mislead this time either! Beautiful, fluffy, light waffles they turned out to be. I topped them with home-made chocolate sauce and lightly whipped cream. Yum indeed.
Dear Anna, today we had your waffles for breakfast! They are sooo yummy!!! I had mine with blueberries, syrup and confectioners sugar. My grandson decided on blueberries, syrup and all kinds of sprinkles! He (3 yrs) also insisted watching your video again, while eating his waffles! So cute!! He said that is Anna, ... all in love! Thank you so much for giving us a piece of sunshine early in the morning! We love you Anna!
This was so good, the only tweak I made was adding more buttermilk (I didn’t have any so I mixed 2 cups of milk with 2 TBSP of lemon) I added as much as she did but the batter would pour through the spout (I have a vertical waffle maker) so I kept adding more buttermilk till it got nice and flowy! This waffle recipe was so so good and I’d recommend it to everyone! Thankyou Anna!
Hi Chef Anna! This is my first time making waffles. Since buttermilk is not available in my country, I substituted it with Indian yoghurt+water in 3:1 ratio. They came out amazingly crispy and yummy. My nephew loved it. Thank you very much 😍😘😀💜💜💜
I have the restaurant style double waffle maker and I just follow the manufacturer's Bisquick recipe and they come out perfect. 2 cups Bisquick two eggs no separating two teaspoons sugar 2 tsp oil one cup of milk. At this point now you can add chocolate chips or nutmeg or cinnamon
Great recipe.... delicious waffles...thank you!! I use, grass fed milk and Polish style Kefir (1/2 - 1/2 ratio). Separating the eggs, whipping, and folding made a difference also. Waffles crispy on the outside light and fluffy on the inside. Used the Cuisinart double waffle maker (looks exactly Waring Double Pro D-handle unit). Delicious!!!!!
Omg 😍😍😍 just made it! Best recipe ever! Its sooo soft and fluffy 🤤 best part that waffles are not dry, its also super juicy! Thank you so much 😘 Here in Italy butter milk not so easy to find so i made it home (milk+lemon juice, 10 minutes and its perfect)
I just got me a waffle iron and can't wait to try out your recipe tomorrow!! I will have assistance of my 3 yr old grandson. He loves waffles, strawberries and blueberries... well, and syrup!! Thanks Anna for making our lifes so delicious!! :D
Thank you for this amazing recipe. I made these in the morning and it came out just perfect, crispy outside while fluffy inside. I baked them in a waffle silicone mold, low rack ,180 °C preheated oven,I flipped them after 12 min. in the same mold for another 10 min. to the desired point of crispness and colour.
Great recipe and we have the same waffle iron. The waffles freeze great; we doubled the recipe. The kids heat them up for breakfast before school. Love your videos!
Ya hice la receta, quedan bien hermosos y no utilice suero de leche, utilice leche semideslactosada que es la que consumimos. Muchas gracias!! Magnífica!!! 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖🤗
I've said it many times. She is the best cook on RUclips! Period! Her recipes are truly amazing. And she is extremely underrated!
This is the only person that was able to tell be the difference of the two batters. I’m am forever grateful
Best waffles ever. My family loves it. Taste even better when frozen and reheated. Thank you so much for this easy and yummy recipe.

That's a great tip!
whipping the egg whites is a method of making many prepared batters light and smooth textured. Great pancakes.
That "drizzle" of maple syrup was more like flooding 😂
Drenching as well
Gave me "two shots of vodka" vibes
@ DazeSen, when I saw it I burst into a laughter !
That’s the only way to eat waffles 👀
Although she was born in the US, she grew up in Canada - which produces 70% of the world’s maple syrup.
