I think Itwl did not try to rearrange his Artifact ER stats to fit her lowered requirement for C1, I don't think it is just 11% vs Aqua, there was a debate on whether Aqua or C1 yield better dps, it was close and won by flexibility not just dps. Iirc c1 is worth 40ER into 40Crit damage, normally at c0 you need about 190-220 ER with C1 you get reduce it to around 140-170 ish depending on team.
The fact that her constellations make her more viable on field is actually really nice because her attack strings are super smooth and beautiful. I'm glad they didn't just lay in on making her dice better for all of the constellations.

I had her c1 + weapon and shes totally playable as a main dps. Shes insane i love her so much !

Really good point about the backloading of her C6.
The best part about her is that she's super flexible with her field time, you can just burst + E then swap away (to get the CD going) do a full rotation with your team and then be back for the last seconds of her burst to unleash the 5 arrows and 2 Es with the 40%+ damage bonus.
Another interesting thing to note - and this could be used for future screenshot montages - her C6 actually persists even after the Elemental Burst ends, you do lose the damage bonus afaik but the arrows will be individual so reverse vaping them is possible for some nice big numbers unlike during her burst when the Hydro application comes out faster than her arrows :)
She's definitely one of the most fun and flexible characters to grind for constellations. She might be subpar in terms of damage to a lot of meta C6 units but the overall kit just makes her a really nice plug-and-play character for a lot of teams.
And as for her C6 being a little too good, it's a C6 unit that costs over 1k and the person spending this money willingly does it knowing it will be broken and for small spenders, F2P players it's not surprising to see this after C6 Ayaka + Shenhe combo doing 3-400k with a charge attack, more than their Ayaka fully buffed with burst.
Then there's the 500 - 700k damage C6 Eula burst without even having to do long setups, just have Benett and Raiden's E active or supports like Kazuha buffing characters so hard with R5 FS that even an AR 35 player's Amber charge shot would do more vape damage than some end-game player's Hu Tao burst.
Point is literally every C6 5* unit that is high tier at C0 becomes a monster at C6.
Glad there's a way people can see that she can be a main dps without c6 honestly, c2 alone is amazing and c4 should definitely get you access to that
Anyone can be played as a on field dps if you want. But wouldn’t you rather use her a sub dps to make other units like Hu tao hit harder, I mean those auto attacks aren’t doing much for you😕

@@ChAnTAxR Why waste primos on a beautifully designed and fun to play character only to have them on the field for a second? I'm so happy they not only made her a good support but and good on field dps too.
And it doesn't matter if her normals do no dmg, her second passive boosts whoever is on the field including herself so just by having her on the field her burst does more dmg and my c3 Yelan does 13 to 15k times 3 without buffs (not counting the 22k+ from the c2 and electrocharged) that's more than enough dmg for me to beat abyss comfortably. Why give Hu Tao more dmg? She already does more than enough already, and doesn't everyone say the game is super easy anyways? I rather have my fun than play characters I don't like just for meta. But that's just me, you do you man, whatever brings you fun
There is something call optimization. You can build any character as dps if u one, but that doesnt meant they all at the same level at c0 with the same investment resource. Yelan is just an ok dps at c0, but why use her when there are other proper dps out there. Unless u want to play for the character itself rather meta wise.

I think it's a testament to how crazy early 4 star characters were in Genshin that they can release a character that is this strong and it doesn't really powercreep C6 XQ at C0. I think this is the perfect level of power and power curve with further swiping (if only they made it less ridiculously expensive) and I hope all new characters follow this.
They will need to make the game harder if they bring every character to the level of the best 4 stars but I'd prefer that than have bad character balance.
They made early and easily accessible characters really good for a reason, it was just good oversight on hoyoverse's part, especially as they're slowly providing better alternative while not outright powercreeping them

Yelan is a fresh character in terms of design, kit and gameplay since Raiden hence she break Raiden's 1st day banner sale.

And here I was doing a good job of resisting pulling for constellations on my new favorite character. IMO the c1 is the best constellation because it really makes her a lot more fun to play with more mobility and burst uptime

that was my thought but now i feel with favonious i am waay overkill on e.r however stingless just isnt enough to keep her burst on cooldown witjout another hydro.
Grind better er subs on those artifacts ;). C1 is almost mandatory if you want to run a non er based weapon.
I honestly think sac bow can replace c1 but you can't get other bow benefit. 38 k hp Yelan did absurd dmg even without reaction.

Hold out mate! As a triple crowned Kazuha main I am admittedly biased, but he's worth it.
Stay strong and keep saving, Kazuha is definitely worth it!!! This from someone who has him double crowned at C1 with R1 Freedom Sworn & just got C1 Yelan with R1 Aqua. She's a lot of fun & very good but Kazuha is more fun & completely broken!

I think it's worth noting that in the comparison between C0 and C1, there would have been a bigger difference without the rock frog killing itself on your shield. It doesn't really matter, but it probably would have taken another second or two.

FYI the best way to use the C6 is to Burst > Complete entire Team Rotation > AA with Yelan. It gets the 50% ramping bonus damage as well.

I LOVE her. I got her to c1 instead of getting aqua. Ill pick up aqua on rerun. Sumeru is soon so need to save up again. Shes strong and very fun to play!!!
No just remember everyone as cool as these upgrades are please remember that assuming you have to hit pity and fail the 50/50 when possible just to get yelan and then to c6 we are talking 2.5k usd
As for r5ing a 5 star weapon it is still about 2.4k if you are unlucky

Seems people forgot the secret that is saving, spending outright isn’t wise even for a c0 but 5-4 patches of saving and under 500 usd can get you a c6 with just decent luck.
It's actually 1.8k USD max for guarantee C6 and assuming you lose all 50/50, even then you can just get her C1/2 then wait for her rerun, assuming it will be a year from now, you'll have enough primogems to guarantee C4 at least
People go for c6 is either doesnt give a f about those spending, or people that actually saving for year. Its their choice.

My C2 Yelan isn't too shabby. She may not 36* Abyss as main DPS but in overworld, I barely need to use anybody else cause she is decimating enemies easily on her own.

Yelan c6 feels like Eula's c6 where it breaks the game in almost every way possible.
(but Yelan might have upper hand due to damage being elemental thus having access to Kazuha)

Yelan's C6R5 as he stated in video does 200% more dps than c0 f2p.
Yeah Eula's powerspike was 350% which is way higher but still , doing 3 times extra frontloaded dmg is kind of similar to doing 4.5 times backloaded dmg.

We hope some future 5-star characters will get this kind of showcase. It’s very helpful and gives us the whole idea (visually) what each of their consts do. So many characters has been released and sometimes it’s hard to keep up what their consts do (except c3 and c5 😂).
Anyway, does Itto also have this constellation showcase from you? I will watch it! :)

I think C1 is most valuable if you dont get C6. Because it allows us to use her E twice every rotation instead of once. A lot of energy, so we can use other weapons like that 3* bow or aqua bow, far better than sticking to favonius bow for energy
agree that. for F2P, high refine favonius bow is very good for the overall performance & smooth rotation.

I was blessed with C1 today. It didn't change much for teams with 2 hydro but a lot where she is the only one
it's honestly hilarious finding people who look at this video without realising how ridiculous this is.
C3: 14% personal dmg increase, 4/5 rating
C4: 18% personal dmg increase + whole party max hp buff, 4/5 rating
amazing.
C4 makes Yelan became the first HP support in whole genshin history.

I'm using C0 Yelan with the Elegy, and she can still play a really good DPS. All you need is just some off field dps like Fischl and you can clear everything easy.

Yelan C1R1 is enough for a game changer if youre f2p or a casual goldfish. Let me tell you you why, as a C1R1 owner myself:
- faster exploration
- double the skill, double the orbs
- character buffer
- vape nuke
- great hydro application
- flexible with either vape, hyperbloom, bloom, electrocute team
- and if you’re bored playing with Yelan, you can put her bow in other bow character cause her BiS is the BEST bow in the game and can fit almost EVERYONE.

All constellations from 1 to 6, as well as the R1 of her weapon being insane value? You love to see it. Definitely gonna try for cons on the rerun, got C0 and Aqua this time around.
Even without constellation, I still let her be the on field dps in open world, those movement are great to look at just like Yoi.

Why even using recurve if low on er stats, or like still using er% sand. Favounius is free, has lots er% so can run hp% sand obviously and the passive actually more usefull.
Because Recurve does more damage, and this is mostly a video on how her constellations and weapon upgrade her damage. So therefore, it makes sense to use her easy to obtain F2P DPS weapon as the baseline.
Also worth noting energy regen needs vary greatly with team composition and what you are facing. If you put her in a Raiden and are facing multiple small mobs, well, 0% energy regen is plenty. On the other hand, if you are facing a single, super high hp boss in the Abyss, and your healer is Qiqi/Barbara, and, let's say Xiao as your DPS, with another anemo to feed him, well... you're going to need more energy regen. And that's ignoring the energy impact of her C1.
U can kinda see iwtl bias if hes giving c3 a 4 star id say its 2.5stars max. Id also say C4 is 3star because after this video we can boost hp through hydro res,and besides that the only ppl who will rlly benefit of hp increase is hutao and yelan. You can argue kokomi /other healers but,when do u actually need more heals if u are aiming for a C4 on a char

9:48 Due to Yelan's passive, isn't it more effective to reserve her C6 5 shots to the end of her Q duration instead of at the start? Also, her normal skill level matters.

@@spar. yeah that's the way to use her C6 more effectively. The windiw is big enough and she unloads it fast enough that you can put any DPS' dps windiw inside her Q.

Man this makes me kinda sad. Yelan is the first character since Yoimiya who I've tried getting constellations for, but I've lost EVERY. SINGLE. 50/50 for her. Four 50/50 lost on Yelan's banner and five losses in a row total. I got the weapon in only 20 pulls tho, so I guess I used all my luck on that.
Also is Yelan's C6 bonus Breakthrough Barbs count as normal attacks, charged attacks, or burst attacks? I'm thinking for stuff like emblem, Beidou's burst etc.
The C6 description lists the five special shots as Charged Attack DMG.

I’m so torn on c1 Yelan or c1 Itto . Because I want both but can’t afford both 😭 C1 Yelan would give me more flexibility for teams but c1 Itto would make him more fluid to use in spiral abyss without struggling to get stacks. I’m so torn! Nice showcase as usual.

How you use her should factor in. Like if you use her primarily off-field, then her C1 is a big boost. On field, it is still good, but not quite as good as for off-field support.
Also, don't forget to weigh Kuki into the equation. Yeah, her kit is looking a bit lackluster (I think she's going to be weak as a healer mostly because she lacks the ability to heal off-field characters), but she will have certain uses due to being the only electro healer (nope, not counting Lisa with a Prototype Amber as a healer).
You really fell in love with this character, five videos about yelan in a row, I guess this doesn't happen with male characters or those you don't like that much. Anyway good content.
I still find it weird that c4 says increase MAX HP by 10% but if yelan has 40k hp and 4 stacks it doesnt give her extra 16k hp ☹️

Xingqiu's reliable and easy to use, but I really love Yelan's more variable playstyle esp. after C1.
I started with a 4pc Noblesse and Elegy to use her as a burst bot for Hu Tao and Yoimiya, but I recently found it more fun to pump up her own damage numbers with 2pc HoD + 2pc ToM and R5 Stringless. Heck, even Sacrificial Bow is pretty fun with Fischl/Yae/Sucrose/Kazuha/Venti/Xiao Es in between Yelan's Es.
It's basically a more spammable cross between Keqing's skill and Sayu's skill, allowing you to chase after distant enemies without burning stamina and while also applying elements to multiple enemies.
Hold on... would hwr C4 give additional hp% to Neuvillette???
everybody is saying that shes a sub dps but w the amount of dmg she does on her own i thinks shes like xiangling in childe/ xiangling comp where child is the driver but xinagling does the most dmg therefore the main dps.
Why are you using 4pc emblem with 120 ER%? She needs more ER than that and yeah, the three star Recurve Bow looks amazing when u dont build enough ER on her compared to fav bow, but it makes no sense.

Her C1 helps a lot with her energy needs. Also, team comp and what you are facing matters a lot. And if you use her on-field (like he is here) instead of off-field, again, less energy regen need. And, of course, when you do more damage to opponents, they cross the hp thresholds faster, which in turn means more energy per time period. Don't assume that you need an energy regen bow.
My Yelan (who does have C1) runs at 120% ER as well.
@@Axterix13 She was designed to be an off-field support, so using her burst on-field while dealing physical damage with her normal attacks that don’t scale with HP is pretty counterproductive.
Also, her C1 only gives an extra charge, so she can use her E twice in quick succession. It’s still 1 E per 10 seconds, so it’s not going to actually double her ER on each rotation. Barring sacrificial, she’ll still get 2 E’s per rotation max; any more is suboptimal or unsustainable past the first rotation.
Maybe if you are running double hydro, you can run less than 60% ER with 2 E’s, though fav is also just beneficial for the rest of the team, so it’s pretty broken.

All of those bows are worse than the Recurve for her, damage-wise, provided energy isn't an issue, and that you are more focused on her dealing damage, and not so much on the extra support she provides the team. Her bow at R1 boosts her damage by 26% over the Recurve. Her C3 is ~12%.
Though, you are talking weapon banner there, which tends to take more wishes to get the weapon you want than it does to get a constellation. Overall, though, I'd say don't bother with C3 unless you intend to go for C4, so if you're set on going for one of the two, go for the bow.

i have a question about how these numbers are obtained for the recurve and r1 aqua parts specifically. im game i am unable to obtain numbers that high even though every dmg
stat on my yelan is larger and with aqua my record for the dice hits is 9200 let alone the over 11Kyours do and my E does a bunch less dmg -- roughly 7500+ at the start of the burst

Depends entirely on your primos, my dude. Personally, Yelan and Kazuha are both worth getting. Neither Yelan, nor Kazuha need their signature 5★ weapon. They perform extremely well with craftable/easily obtainable weapon.
If you can, get both. If not, then pull for whoever seems more fun to you.
I didn't really understand why her C6 is so good, what does front loaded damage mean?
frontloaded damage means the damage requires no/minimal setup or charge up time (unlike eula who needs 7 seconds to charge the burst)
he also mentions you can backload the c6 which is where he waits for the passive damage bonus to ramp up before using the btb, so charging up similar to eula burst although not as significantly
It’s good because it makes her even more viable as a main dps. Her normal attacks create breakthrough barbs during her burst meaning a lot more damage. Pretty much you don’t need to do a charge attack to use breakthrough barbs
It just means that the majority of the damage comes at the front of the rotation
c6 does 250k dmg in few seconds (unbuffed)
Also its hits AOE

I use the R5 Recurve Bow for my 2pc EOSF/ 2pc HOD Yelan. The thing most people forget about this bow is its passive, which is healing. So, just like Xingqiu, Yelan has a minor ability to heal herself now. 😉

I thought Yoimiya's C6 is the best single target dps constellation for a bow character. Then here comes Yelan with her C6.
Yoimiya's C1 should have been in her base kit.
C2 should have been her C1
C6 should have been her C2 (to make people want to pull)
C4 was ok
Her new C6 should have been adding aoe to her attacks, like Yelan's arrows, and shorter ult proc to make it useful.

Her C2 attack has no ICD
So basically at c2 she applies 1 unit of hydro 2 times with every hit right?

@@Haku15Mitarashi icd is internal cooldown. Basically how long or how many hit it takes a character to apply their element. In general all characters apply their element every 3 hits or 2.5 seconds. But there are exceptions like hutao's charge attack for ex, which has no icd, which means every charge attack of hers will apply pyro
Is it worth pulling yelan instead of Kazuha or Hutao?
Im a phis rosaria main since Raiden's banner and im curious on what other characters I should pull. I have 23k of primos and 50 pity
Its worth it to pull yelan over kazuha, at the same time it's also worth it to wait for kazuha, judging from their kits, yelan would be a good investment for future dendro reaction, kazuha is a good investment for elemental in general.
But im skipping kazuha since i main physical on 1 team, i was thinking of pulling for kazuha for my raiden burst team, but gearing him is a pain, VV domain is rigged af, i'd be fine with Raiden national and sucrose taser

Depends on ur teams.
If u run freeeze,taser or raiden hyper then kazuha is a very huge improvement to dmg. But otherwise he can be replaced with sucrose on the elemental reaction teams and rational and physical, geo and anemo main dps teams dont need him at all.
Yelan is pretty good in almost every situation tbh. Get xq and yelan in any team and that team becomes a good team cuz xq + yelan is broken af. Even with non reaction based dps units yelan can be use cuz of her A4 passive.
Overall yelan is generally an upgrade to ur account while kazuha is a more specific upgrade
@@deltaspecies1697 Ooo, i see what you're saying. Since Kazuha is more of an elemental reaction's team but i main phis dps then Yelan would be a great sub-dps while Kazuha triggers more reactions
I forgot to mention that I got Venti and Ayaka instead of Razor and Bennet [:( ] and Im wondering if they can match up with other charas like Yelan and Kazuha. Im building EM and crit venti since his er is soo useful
