I love listening to true artists speak. What honesty, charm, and levity on top of such great advice ❤.

Funny like i fell in love with both Sullivan and Cécile in the same week (him with Peter Bernstein I think), then discovering them as musical partners, and sentimental ones too. Both amazing original artists, without a doubt my favourite contemporary singer and pianist ❤ separately and together

How did you know they were together romantically ? (If its what you want to say with « sentimentally »)

@@juliavialette Sullivan mentioned it, I think in his interview by Emmet Cohen. I'm such a gossip :(

Excellent interview and great questions. Everything that Mr. Fortner says seems so obvious and clear, but of course that's because he's already worked out the answer for you - that's the kind of person he is - a deep thinker, thoughtful, respectful, consummately professsional. And to top it off he just seems like an incredibly interesting and vibrant person, and so authentic. Can't wait to see where his career takes him next.
