Thanks for the endless love and support you have constantly shown me. I’m forever grateful. I really appreciate your unconditional love towards me...Where are you watching from?
I'm watching this in 2024..., marvelous....., philosophically jazz musicians are constructivist..... , you're witnessing constructivist at play, doing their best
I went to what I thought was something for homecoming for Clayton State University. I was optimistic to go because I am a senior 66 years old and one of my peers had his info wrong., because I went to Spivey Hall not really know much about it. I showed up in an Adidas jogging suit, then I seen people coming in with mint coats, and I was embarrassed. The moral of the story is, This concert was not connected to CSU homecoming at all, Spivey hall just happens to be on the campus. And when I tell you., I was blown away with these two young artists, it literally brought tears to my eyes. I mean a little bit of Bessie Smith, Ella Sarah, all in one big pot oh and Bille. I completely forgot about my attire and her hobby ate that piano UP two pieces. I am checking there itinerary already, so whenever they come back to Atlanta, GA. I will have on the right attire😇 but seriously this dynamic dual is a must see!
0:35 Never Again (Noel Coward) 6:04 Until (Sting) 11:25 Sunday In New York (Peter Nero) 15:05 Something Happens To Me (Marvin Fisher, Jack Segal) 16:53 A Sad Song (Cecile McLorin Salvant, Sullivan Fortner)* 18:44 I Want To Believe You (Cecile McLorin Salvant) 22:56 I'm All Smiles (Michael Leonard, Herbert Martin)

Bruno
A perfect match ! “La vie c’est l’art des rencontres” Merci à vous deux pour ce beau moment ! Sullivan, à propos de votre rencontre : “It felt like home” Ma lumière est dans ta main, ta lumière est dans la mienne. Taking care of each other.

GUURRL! Even casually, your flip from full to chest is SO GOOD! In the beginning when your just basically leading your accompaniment it’s better color, control, and clear sounding than any vocalist I’ve ever heard in our era, probably ever honestly. I’m so happy I stumbled upon you and can’t wait to share your crazy amazing talent with all my friends! Checked your website, I wish you would come down to the south! In Texas here, we have some great halls that you could easily sell out- Jones being my fave. They just remodeled!
Thanks for the endless love and support you have constantly shown me. I’m forever grateful. I really appreciate your unconditional love towards me...Where are you watching from?
Sorry we are missing you, Cecile and Sullivan in Seattle tonight and tomorrow. I was planning on coming! Feel better soon! See you next time! I love your red gloves!

Watching this in 2024 and its just phenomenal ❤
Same 8 months later
Just both out of this world. I am completely in awe of Sullivan's playing, absolutely magical.
This man didn’t even know the first song and just immediately started playing. That’s crazy
Sullivan Fortner, folks…he’s the real deal…
Cos'è il genio?
Haha he kinda knows it though, he just wasn't sure he remembered the bridge.
❤
Cecile knew Fortner can pull it off though loll. This and they are so great
Two of the finest, most creative musicians currently on the planet! Have seen you together and apart many times...always magical!
The voice, the glasses, the hat, the GLOVES!! And doing a Noel Coward song. She is the DEAL!
I was so busy during the pandemic that I missed this. Thank goodness for The Algorithm.
And seconded on those DIVINE gloves.
