It was back in the days of brick mobile phones...and one phone rang, so they all dug their bricks out of their oversized breifcases , trying to work out who's was ringing !
You forgot one, calling 2 days before you even know that you have a house open, then cancelling your family outing so then you can clean for 2 days to have a house opening. That's what's going on in my life at the moment ❤ from the west coast.

Saying a property is "deceptively" anything. Spacious, large most frequent lies. I swear it either means small, or you can't use the large space because it's in the wrong spot/badly planned/ not accessible/damp & mouldy/there's a noisy neighbour on the other side of the bedroom wall.
I wonder whether you can get around that by telling them to only show properties where the rooms are actually spacious and well arranged (not the contents), how the rooms interact and connect with each other. Maybe not? Oh well! 😟

I’m in government housing and the amount of people I get trying to get me to sell like I have a choice lol had a few people insist on trying to get into my house for a quote “won’t take long, what have you got to lose”, and wouldn’t back the hell up until I said this was government housing. I know some folks in public housing who, every time they get flyers or cards in their mailbox offering quotes and promoting their recent sale, who contact the number and request that this waste not be delivered to their mailbox, only to, in the following weeks, months, years get as much as ever. Even though the estate agent agreed to take note that the property wasn't owned by the occupants. I understand the frustration so many feel.

I do try to be polite when they come in person but they won’t take “no thanks” for an answer. One time I said my mum was in bed sick and they insisted they’ll be quiet which blew my mind. I of course told them they’re insane and absolutely not interested in selling to them (couldn’t have been bothered to explain housing then) but I feel for your friends, it’s not like we have a choice to be in housing, we don’t need to be hounded for it too.

You're right, of course, nobody chooses to be in government housing. It's a last resort. Too often, it makes no difference how hard you've worked in your life, if you haven't been paid what you're worth, you can't save to buy privately.
