Quite amazing that orthopaedic surgeon was so open. He's definitely Elite and deserves all the spoils he has , you can't begrudge that
Wow! That guy so easily answered the questions about the price and what he's doing for living, unbelievable!
The home owner James is a good man.
You say Unley park but show Adelaide’s most expensive house, Elysian, which is located in the suburb Medindie. Which is north of the cbd 🤦♂️ opposite to unley. The house went for about $11mil
Above all. Great video and great vibes 🎊
I immediately noticed that too. I coveted the heck out of that place when it was for sale. Haha. Still it's not a bad video
tried looking at every house number 9 in unley park until the interview with the guy and noticed robe tce 😭
I landscaped this house was absolutely amazing, but I work on many high end houses in Adelaide, there is some amazing hidden gems in Torrens park Dulwich, college park is unbelievable
spot on
I did some waterproofing work on a new house in Leabrook back in maybe 2017 (give or take a few years). Unfortunately it was just a besa block base while I was there but the block was absolutely stunning, it had a little creek running down the middle and a gardeners hut or something.
Pretty positive it was on Stanley St
Full kudos to James and family for being so welcoming.
Welcome to Adelaide!! Have to agree it is a really friendly place not like some other capital cities!
When you have never left Adelaidr
@@jimmydgaf5369I’m QLD’er living in Adelaide and have lived all around the world. I can attest that the people are very, very friendly day to day, but it’s hard to get close to established friend/family circles.
@@jimmydgaf5369 So I take it you've never been to Adelaide then.
Friendly place at Adelaide? Are you joking?
@@rubyredjeans Yeah you are correct. Everyone will nod at you on your morning walk but on a deeper level it's very cliquey and you have to know someone well to be introduced to the inner circle of a group.
As an adelaidian I have always wanted to see inside a house on Vic Ave so thankyou this is everything
South Australians are in general, down to earth and friendly.
Nah I totally disagree
Not from my experience.
Can't drive for sh!t tho
Don’t go north or south of the city area 😂
Every city in the world has its problem areas. In a general sense, Adeladians are more polite and down to earth. It's even pretty obvious in the driving culture.
That may be the most expensive in Adelaide but the best Australian urban outlook in my opinion is any property in the Adelaide Hills, overlooking the city and the sea.
Fxck Adelaide it's a boring craphole
I agree. I used to live in the Adelaide hills - absolutely loved it, would love to move back there one day
I second that, some beautiful scenery!!!
Priceless
You would be safe from a tsunami but not from a bush fire.
I am very proud for our state and our Adelaide! I did lived in Adelaide 13 years and the last 21 years in Clare Valley about one hour from Adelaide. I just love the life and the people here. I arrived 37 years ago from Eastern Europe, and I always feel so lucky and grateful for my new home country took me in .
Adelaide is boring and racist and depressing. I’m from Melbourne and I’d have to say I’ve stayed there for 2 weeks max and experienced the most racism I’ve ever had compared to living in Melbourne my whole life. How embarrassing is it to be proud of a city that isn’t even city like and more like a suburb 😂
@@gillianmarie1893 I am very proud lived In Adelaide for 12 years before we moved about 100 km from Adelaide to Clare Valley. Adelaide is one of the most beautiful, safe and livable city. Melbourne is full with homeless and Muslims and the city far from our neat and clean lovely city in every way. and if Adelaide is racist that is fine with me;-)))))
@@gillianmarie1893stfu dude, everyone is racist nowadays probably you as well an😂d have you seen the homelessness where you live, Adelaide is basically Melbourne but cheaper
@@gillianmarie1893I’ve never met an actual racist person here
@@Palmerized lmao good for you
I absolutely LOVE living in Adelaide….🧡
1:35 That’s a good salesman right there😂 just went along with your shenanigans to make the sale.
Another terrific video, Jamie.
As an Adelaidian, it makes me proud to know that we have some truly lovely people among us, like Dr McLean.
I love how its only 2 million to get into these suburbs when 2 million is just middle of the line in Sydney
Welcome to Adelaide. Jamie.
Adelaide is not too bad compared to other capital cities.
From, William.
Mount Gambier, South Australia.
I am in Adelaide at the moment myself on holidays.
I live in adelaide but go to mt gambier for my holidays, its so beautiful up there.
@@Tara.c871 Ah, fair enough, Hope you enjoy!.
you're looking at the map upside down@@Tara.c871
Killer video. Been going to Adelaide for the past 15 years from Melbourne for the V8 Super car's and there's a bucket list of amazing bar's
Adelaide is the world's most underrated city, it's so beautiful
Nah the cops are fucked, and the government is a corrupt bunch of dogs. It’s really not that great here
You mean worlds most irrelevant city
@@ZASHXAs an Adelaidian that is true
What's there to do there? Am just curious 🧐?
@@JoelMannix nothing that’s my point
Love living in Adelaide! Such a wholesome community vibe.
Worked in Sydney and haaaated it. I'd trade the salary for the Adelaide vibe any day of the week.
I'm from Melbourne. Love Radelaide!
Not just a rumour btw, My mum did florist work for Mel Gibson in Unley park which is extremely cool. Love the video as well 😁👍
Mel Gibson also owned a villa in Parkside.
Go to the shahins property in burnside. It’s A $30mill build. They own the entire street
The old guy winking at you with the pineapple 😂
I think the 3rd house there in the video when asked and didn’t answer is my mums best friends dads house, he lives in France in a literal castle and that’s just his holiday house
He lives in an actual castle in France and has a house here as a holiday house! 😮
That is incredible and insane at the same time!
How often does he come back to Adelaide!
What does he do as a job to be able to do that!
So what
Beautiful old homes!!! I’m based in Dresden Germany at the moment you definitely should check the homes here!!
What a chilled out home owner. I bet you made his day doing that and his son. Good on ya mate keep up the good work.
well said James, a true aussie legend. great video Jamie keep them coming mate !
That’s not Adelaide’s most expensive house, the most expensive one is Burnalta Cres in burnside owned by previous OTR owners
What a champion William. great video.. PS William's RUclips link seams broken?
Just a clarification, he mainly went to medindie, not Unley park in this video
Some houses in the hills look like straight up celebrity mansions Adelaide is so underrated not just for its stunning homes and hills but the entire coastline is beautiful too, as it is all around Australia
6:55 , I dont know where my soccer ball is, well kid we dont blame you, with a yard that size😅
My parents friends actually owned that first house then they renovated it and sold it, it was very nice inside and we got a tour of the house before it was sold and while it was in renovation.
James is very well spoken, conducts himself very well
What a legendary family and a cool house. Thanks for the vid Jamie
awesome interveiw of the family THANK YOU
What a lovely owner and fantastic tips.
The house tour is and also the play area for the kids is 🔥
you should go to New South Wales best small towns or somthing like that
Mullumbimby I reckon 'biggest small town in Australia' or anywhere around Byron shire really
NSW is really messy. I grew up in Sydney and have travelled a lot. But.....small towns have recently had upgrades to public parks and facilolities. So really run down remote towns have amazing playgrounds, toilets and parks. Covid.......put the focus on an area of need.
I live very remote....our town just got a million dollar skate park with shade cloths, bbqs, toilets that play music while you do drugs and everything....wow!
I’ve had the pleasure to work on many of these houses, they’re all great people with inspiring stories
Wow jamie what a wonderful place.... Wating for ur nxt vlogs
Thanks for this beautiful family we enjoyed watching
Wow! Such a wise humble orthopaedic surgeon. I am studying to be a doctor in Australia. ❤
I am from Adelaide and its very underrated and an amazing city. I currently am working in Asia for the last 10yrs but will return home sometime soon I miss the Semaphore area I grew up in.
Elysian is in Medindie, not Unley Park. Literally opposite sides of the city from each other.
my man didn't hear about he sandcastle? its owned by the owners of OTR so big they could not estimate the house. he owns like all the properties around it and filled it with family.
Any time Adelaide is mentioned, it seems to elicit a string of knee jerk criticisms, mainly from people interstate. I've lived in Ireland, Paris, Shanghai and now decided to move back to Adelaide. Every place offers different things and suits different people. I love Sydney and Melbourne + imagine all Australian capital cities can potentially offer a decent quality of life.
However good quality of life is more accessible in Adelaide than most places. If you are in the top 1%, then Syd/Melb etc. are probably more attractive than Adelaide. Then again, if you are a top 1% person, you could argue that it doesn't really matter which country you live in + there are global cities that offer more excitement than Australia's 'big fish in our small pond'. Unfortunately inflation and house prices are slowly eating away equality of access to 'the good life' that Adelaide once enjoyed - it risks becoming like Sydney and Melbourne - if you are young and not going to inherit a house or wealth, you are likely going to spend most of your life in debt, commuting and with very little security. Hard to call that good quality of life no matter where you live.
Welcome to our village.
Great video, but I must say that being in the building industry for many years, I would try Springfield and Burnside etc, and I would also look at yasir shaheens mansion. He's a billionaire here and I think his mansion would be the most expensive here.
Awww I live in Adelaide and it would've been amazing to meet U Jamie 🥺👍
you should of went to the beach front homes in adelaide
I live in Adelaide my most favorite is BuildBear and Henley beach
That's an fine pineapple, double header for growing. 🍍🍍
i did gardening for the house across the road at 4:19, really nice people, super rich said they paid around 4 mil for their place. both husband and wife were high end lawyers
ADE ppl are so niceee
@neillan4119 1% people from Adelaide is nice but remain 99% isn’t nice enough to anyone.
Well done James & William! Very gracious!
They'll all be happy to show you inside ! All those houses are for sale .
Great video and great insights as always.
Side note: does anyone know the name of the jacket the surgeon is using at 08:52 ? I have searched it everywhere and cannot find that exact model. It looks great
arcteryx
I know its that brand but cant find the model on their website.. did you find it by any chance?@@Theoneandonlypanda525
Victoria Street used to be the most expensive street in Adelaide when I was a kid. My mum used to drive us through it on our way South of the city.
Honestly the beach side houses down at Brighton and Hallett Cove are more worth a look than the older style houses in Unley Park. But you should also make a video about the most dodgiest suburb in Adelaide too
He’s done that in the murder capital video.
Unley park is old on the outside and then all done up on the inside
@@littlecatfeet9064 yeah but the video wasn't talking about any particular suburb it was more referring to Adelaide as a whole
Unley park wtf doesn't exist...Unley n Malvern arent even expensive and well n truly suck
@@dsheat8476 it does i have a house there and all the houses i’ve been in are quite nice and modern inside ppl renovate
Nice guy James for letting you guys in!
Money definitely brings happiness he says he's the most happiest when helping people. You still need money to help people lol❤
I would say eastern suburbs (Rose Park, Toorak Gardens, Dulwich and Tusmore) are more luxuries than Unley. (but each to their own I guess)
I myself live in Rose Park.
And Mel Gibson once lived in Rose Park. (My house actually)
Here within 1 hour gang
👇
come to hamilton in brisbane theres crazy houses there
you did not show the true most expensive house in Adelaide. There is a house at the top of kurralta drive which is owned by the owners of OTR. It is a true beauty.
The Adelaide Hills is an amazing spot.👍
I am from Adelaide, thank for visiting.
I've been in that house (dad is friends with the architect). the person who bought the house actually bought the "10M" house for 12.6M and he's an anaesthetist (type of doctor)
Hi! Great video! I think the area you were going through was medindie as I recognised the houses bc I go to school around there! Other than that, amazing vid!
I think reading King Solomon's writing's on wealth and happiness could really bring some insight into the subject manner...he was one of the world's most wealthy person's !
I'm from Adelaide and I really enjoyed your video, especially the lovely family, great to see a happy child, Adelaide is a wonderful place for kids to grow up in.
No it's definitely not
This is not Adelaide’s most expensive house.
The Shahins Mansion in Burnside is
Might be highest sold price, but you're probably right. The land alone is worth $10m and they spent $16m on the build and that was a decade ago.
The first house is not in Unley Park
Adélaïde is a blessing every culture beautiful people my home for 53 years
You have made me want to move to Radelaide......yessss
Don't do it,it's really a craphole
Used to live around Glen Osmond and there are big houses up here 👀
Final word from the dad was "inflation".
Lived at Hyde Park for 7 years, definitely some $$ in that area. I much prefer my seaside suburb nowadays. There’s some glitzy suburbs ya missed in Adelaide
@jamiezhu,
Can you do Adelaide's worst area-Davoren Park & Someday do Peppermint Grove in WA
Go to City Beach Perth WA and Peppermint Grove Perth WA
Lots of sick people to make such a rich doctor there...
I live in Adelaide and it’s so beautiful and amazing here.
Springfield?
That doctor was a G ! 🫡
My dad works doen there and i love when im in the city and my dad shows ne around
it's weird... unley park has more expensive houses, but i'd say richer people live around burnside to the east of the city
I always thought the Shahin’s mansion on 2 Burnalta Cres was the most expensive house in Adelaide?
$2.4mill? Only? Lol mate thats like Sydney's western suburbs
Do you own a 2.4ml property in the shit hole that is the Western Suburbs of Sydney without a Mortgage?
Because even if you do you still just own a house with the Muslims in a getto so why brag dick head
You make it sound like such a bad thing. To me that's a good thing I just feel bad for Sidney folk
For sure, how amazing is that! Sydney sucks balls.
This ain’t the most expensive place in adl, there’s a certain stop in burnside w an house worth over 30mil
Isn't that first house where Racka Racka lived?
Ninnyton already has 1k subs..go William 🎉
That first house is over near medindie, not unley.
“You grow pineapples on your balcony?” Won you a like 👍🏽
you should travel to different countries to make your audience larger
James would get my vote 👏🏾
Well made content and 👍🏽 for being respectful!
Nice way to case the place.
What nice people to let you in😊
