Eldorado County - Dardanelles Lake Hike

Begin your hike on a portion of the Tahoe Rim Trail. The Trail crosses through Big Meadow which is adorned with abundant wildflowers. Snow drifts linger on the surrounding peaks & the Dardanelles (cliffs). Hike through an evergreen forest. You may get your feet wet fording the Upper Truckee River & its tributaries. The hike’s objective is hauntingly beautiful Dardanelles Lake.
