    I've been trying to decide which to get and I'm really loving the full bass sound.

    Aftermarket exhausts sure do make Miata’s sound like a proper sports car

  • @dlg5485

    This is the exhaust I'm leaning toward. I love the fact that you basically get 3 different sounds in 1 package and can change it up at will. All 3 levels sound great, but I like the mid option the best. This is a great exhaust, but I wish it was a bit cheaper and was offered with black tips. Not everyone wants a blingy tailpipe.

    I love that it keeps the stock twin pipe look

    I am always worried about putting aftermarket exhaust on a car that had a tune exhaust system from the manufacture, but this actually does make the car sound significantly better.

    Which baffles were used? Looks like you used two baffles for full treble at end, but not sure what were used for full bass or mid.

    • @phant0mv87
      @phant0mv87  5 месяцев назад +2

      I don’t rmr what the one of the left is called but the mixing baffle is the one on the right I think. The mixing baffle has three holes with the most pushed in position as “full treble”

    Will this make me a menace in my neighborhood when I start it in the morning?

    • @phant0mv87
      @phant0mv87  6 месяцев назад

      I didnt think. If it becomes a problem, There’s a way to bypass the ~30 second warm up by holding the clutch while in gear the entire time

    Is the mixing baffle fully inserted sounding the same as the Race Exhaust or the SSST?

    • @phant0mv87
      @phant0mv87  4 года назад +1

      Yes, mixing baffle is fully inserted for max treble. I'm not sure if it sounds exactly like race or ssst though

    Since the exhaust takes up less space underneath, is the underside aerodynamically affected? Does it create any stability issues at higher speeds? I watched a video of someone installing a Verus rear diffuser and claims it helps with the above issues due to smaller exhausts

    I just bought the same exhaust and I don't know how to set sounds with baffles. How do I do this? Please help :(

    • @phant0mv87
      @phant0mv87  3 года назад +3

      it should have came with a mixing baffle that goes in the left tip. you just undo a bolt and there are three settings you can play with

      @@2023roadstervet it’s the audio and possibly the mixing baffle. Goodwin Racing are one of the best Miata custom shops and have some of the best exhausts. Got a few guys at the Miata meets that initially got the RK quad exhaust from Rev9 just to swap it out for a GWR exhaust.

    • @heroictesticles6870

      It's a 4 cylinder NA, what do people expect. That's the engine setup where the fart can sound originated. No matter what exhaust you add to the mx5 it will never sound great. They still sound better in person than on videos though.

    • @robersniper
      @robersniper 2 года назад

      @@heroictesticles6870 There are more restrictive exhausts, that sound decent... I agree a 4 pot wont be the best sounding thing out there, but they can sound great, such as the mx5parts stainless steel single exit exhaust, or cobalt makes decent exhausts too.
