"I'd bet Reed built a walkie-talkie in kindergarten, but only found someone willing to talk to him when he was a freshman in college" I thought this was a Mr. Fantastic build, that burn would make the Human Torch proud
On the seventh day of Christmas My good Sr. Tulok brought me: Eight Fantastic Couples Seven Rebel Spirit cops Six Lively toys Five Angry space wizards Four Hunted devils Three Prideful Greek heroes Two Crime fighting gals And a lemur up in a pear tree!
I loved the comic where a Brood queen taunted the FF about using their families as incubators, and Sue just formed her force fields into a sword and some platforms to step on, and lopped her head off.
Sue is a fucking badass. I love the issue where Wizard (iirc) kidnapped her children. She made his chest invisible so you could see his heart, then threatened to create a tiny force field in his aorta causing an embolism. Made him pass out from fear.
This makes me think Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase as yet another powercouple with powerful builds. Needs for Percy: Wet n’ Wild, Sword & Sneakers, and Heroic Destiny (Meh) Needs for Annabeth: Healthy, Stealthy, & Wise, Not a Knife Novice, Grand Plans
Percy is tricky because of the options, but you can do pretty much everything he canonically can do, scaled down a bit, with 13 levels of Eldritch Knight Fighter and 7 levels of Hunter Conclave Ranger; take every spell that deals with water, take the Animal Handling skill, both dueling and mariner fighting styles, and Colossus Slayer. Annabeth, Level 10 Inquisitive Rogue, Level 7 Battle Master Fighter, and Level 3 College of Lore Bard; get Invisibility, loads of skills, expertise in skills, and a number of battle maneuvers which you can increase on by taking the Martial Adept feat at 1st level. Alternatively, go to just 9 levels of Rogue and spend one level in Monk for unarmored defense and martial arts, but that’s maybe a multiclass too far!
Well I'm expecting Annabeth to have some levels in rouge, mastermind in particular. And honestly I feel like you could make Percy an oath of the sea and hexblade warlock half-sea elf for percy and make that work. But I would love to sea that build.
Same!. I've only thought of Druken monk for Luffy, but I just realized how well an Astral Monk/Rune Knight build would work for him,esp if you throw in some Barbarian levels for that ridiculous amount of punishment he can take
@@JaelynMcgee I love it! A few years ago I was looking at Sun Soul Monk (reflavor the blasts as his arm stretching) but with the advent of more options leads to maybe we don't have to even reflavor!

All members of the Fantastic 4 make a few appearances in Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, they also have a few animated series of their own (Fantastic 4 animated series from the 1990s and Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Superheroes from 2006).
Spell Storing Item really is the perfect ability for Reed. "Here, I built this Nuilfax Wave Projection Amplification Device, someone get close enough to shoot the bad guy with it and we win."
Now we just need the Thing and Tulok will have given us the full Fantastic Four! Maybe an idea for next year??? Thanks Tulok for all the awesome builds!!!
So then based on the Mr. Fantastic Build, I imagine that a Monkey D. Luffy Build using only official sources would be: - Mark of the Storm Half-Elf as the race instead of Human/Variant Human/Custom Lineage (Since Devil Fruits alter a person's "Lineage Factor" and Storm Half-Elf is the only good way I've found so far to get always on, no strings attached Lightning Resistance without having to get too much extra stuff that Luffy can't do, where the casting of Gust/Gust of Wind is something that Luffy has been shown to do like in his fight with Crocodile; plus you can reflavor Darkvision as Observation Haki and Fey Resilience with Luffy being too boneheaded to be charmed or hypnotized into sleeping) - 10 Levels of Rune Knight Fighter with the Superior Technique Fighting Style for Lunging Attack; Giant's Might for Gear Third/Fourth; and the Frost, Stone, Hill, and Storm Runes (Frost and Hill for Armament Haki (with Hill Rune doubling for Luffy's natural resistance to Bludgeoning Damage), Stone for Conqueror's Haki, and Storm for Observation Haki) - 4 Levels of Astral Self Monk for that Extra 5 ft of base Melee Reach and Flurry of Blows for a Gum Gum Gattling. - 6 Levels of Lore Bard so Cutting Words and Enchantment Spells can act as some extra Conqueror's Haki, See Invisibility can be more Observation Haki, Enlarge/Reduce for some Gear Third/Fourth, and you can grab Magical Secrets for Alter Self and Haste for Haki-Infused Strikes and Gear Second respectively.

Great video. Seeing a Reed Richards build makes me wonder if it would possible to swap artificer for sorcerer and make a Monkey D. Luffy build. You made those brain juices flowing.
Late to the party, but I've been trying to think of how to do a Jake the Dog build from Adventure Time and this Mr. Fantastic build provides a good template. I might see if I can't think of a way to replace the artificer levels with something like sorceror, since Jake isn't terribly smart, but maybe he brought BMO with him. Thanks for the vid!
I thought Lunging Attack would be included and artificer levels too, but not the Run Knight stuff. Using Enlarge/Reduce for stretching powers was clever. It is optimal? No. Is it fun? Sounds like it!
Like... 5e could make it so simple. Every "attack," could be a strike or spellstrike, depending on whether you're swinging at it with your body or using a magical source. Each could be either melee or ranged. Then "weapon," and "unarmed," can properly ve used to distinguish between the two when necessary, and "Attack," can just refer to the Action, not the act of striking, and we dont have to sit here with "spell," "weapon," and "attack," meaning 8 different things each, with no consistent contexts to effectively parse out what works with what, and when...
I wonder how well the Sentinel feat would pair with Reed's "I have tons of reach and can threaten most squares on the board" shtick - is it a really good fit, because of how much of the field you can lock down, or bad, because enemies can move around a lot without actually provoking an opportunity attack by leaving your melee attack range? Could go either way, assuming I've even got the rules minutia right. If it works, it's definitely something to consider if you can find space for it: wrap up your enemies! Maybe even throw in Thorn Whip to maneuver them around the battlefield, that one's just on the Artificer spell list if you want it.
I think maximum reach makes Sentinel kinda worse, because, exactly as you pointed out, far more squares to walk around in without provoking, and only a few more square borders that trigger AoO‘s. Also, one of the Sentinel feature, the ignoring disengagement, only works for creatures in 5ft. All in all, Reed is probably great at locking down a hallway, but an entire hall? Not so much.
You know who was really flexible and overlooked? Christopher Lee. Nearly every movie genre. Including porn thanks to someone screwing around and editing in his narration. Christopher Lee build when?

I once made a Monk subclass homebrew with characters like Reed, Luffy and Elastigirl in mind; The Way of the Extended Form. It's a bit basic compared to some of the other stuff, but I think it might have promise.
People usually forget how strong Sue is until she puts a forcefield in a guys throat to cut their breathing. Also great Reed build, it could be the basis for other strechy/maleable character, as long as they aren't complete goofballs...
A build about being the toughest person in Letterkenny would have worked when you and your pals were having a Gus N' Bru while playing D&D just the other daaaaaay.
I hate that so much of the common perception of Mr Fantastic is pretentious jerk who treat everyone like crap instead of super nerd who has to be stopped from putting rocket boosters on a kids bike cause they asked him to and he thought it would be cool.
Honestly the punniest video I've seen in a while. I'm glad someone else enjoys the Invisible Woman, I quite enjoyed her portrayal in Fant4stic... probably the only section I enjoyed, to be honest

Sue should get Disguise Self so that her wig can suddenly shift scene-to-scene. Boom, Fant4stic slam!
“Give Susan Storm a switchblade”
Carly Rae Jepsen build WHEN?!
I once made a Monk subclass homebrew with characters like Reed, Luffy and Elastigirl in mind; The Way of the Extended Form.
It's a bit basic compared to some of the other stuff, but I think it might have promise.
Ok what if you called it "The Way of Freedom" Like free to move... yeah it's hard to make up names
25:47 for surprise Captain Holt
People usually forget how strong Sue is until she puts a forcefield in a guys throat to cut their breathing. Also great Reed build, it could be the basis for other strechy/maleable character, as long as they aren't complete goofballs...
Tulok's Reed Richard build is more interesting than the actual Reed Richards
Thank you for the video.
A build about being the toughest person in Letterkenny would have worked when you and your pals were having a Gus N' Bru while playing D&D just the other daaaaaay.
Your homebrew monk class could work for Mr.Fantastic.
But since you only use official WOTC stuff, maybe reflavoring path of the astral self monk.
Prediction; Mr Fantastic I haven't the slightest idea
Invisible woman; Abjuration Wizard
I know he wouldn't use straight homebrew, but would his gelatinous discipline monk have fit here for the wacky wobbly movement flavor?
I hate that so much of the common perception of Mr Fantastic is pretentious jerk who treat everyone like crap instead of super nerd who has to be stopped from putting rocket boosters on a kids bike cause they asked him to and he thought it would be cool.
surely we get a plastic man build thats like mr fantastic but actually likable /j
Could you make a Vulcan/Gabriel Summers build? Or could someone guide me on that? Super new to D&D
Sue with a switchblade, no. Sue with a handgun, yeas
I was so sure you were gonna us the UA plasmoid to have the stretchy body
Pretty sure he made the script before that UA came out
@@MegaPokefan97 that makes sense actually
We need Jackie Estacado/The Darkness in D&D please Tulok.
With all the problems the first Fantastic Four movies had, I think they were pretty well casted...
With ornstein & smough, Yusuke & Kuwubara and now this i sence a bunch of power couples coming this month
That's the theme. Just like Supergirl and Batgirl, Sam and Dean, Buzz and Woody, etc.
@@ArcCaravan i know that it's all duos but i meant power COUPLES in that connotation
@@dumpsterfire6992 And any of them could be considered power couples.
Huh, I was thinking she'd have 15 levels of Warlock, for Shroud of Shadow, but this works better than trying to justify Limited Wish.
I would have taken shadow touched for Sue at level 1 for invisibility
YEEEESSSSS! MR. FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!
Sue is an abjuraration wizard, calling it
Most of the infusions for Mr Fantastic don't all appear on DnD Beyond, does anyone else have this issue?
I was expecting an astral self monk myself
Must … watch… all… videos…
How do we get a Happy Chaos build before 2023
Honestly the punniest video I've seen in a while. I'm glad someone else enjoys the Invisible Woman, I quite enjoyed her portrayal in Fant4stic... probably the only section I enjoyed, to be honest
I've been waiting for a straight stretchy guy since i found you but they keep losing polls. Manhunter has so many powers, but this is straight stretchiness. Im looking forward to how it works.
That was Giant-man...
Anyone else notice how Tulok never used any footage from the more recent Fantastic Four movie? It's so bad, its footage was cursed.
Amazing!!!!
