Annie is really one of the very best singers in the world ...
Who are the saurons who disliked this ?????
She’s the proverbial waitress getting discovered. Imagine if Dave Stewart just ignored that inclination to ask her to sing with him.
I love her humility thinking that it was just a decent song that she’d made when she’d really made a song that encapsulated my love for lord of the rings but also managed to make me sad about the grey havens
This song is officially part of my funeral songs. Beautiful, while acknowledging the sadness of loss but with the promise of so much more "into the west".
I cannot help but feel a bit of tightness in the throat every time I hear this song.
For me it's tears streaming down my face - every time.
I mean seriously!!! You're sitting there with the best female vocalist in the world!!! ❤❤
I love how they're just speechless and the end
Glorious. One of the most moving songs ever recorded. They sure picked the right vocalist. Love you Annie
I love that song.
It was composed by Annie Lennox and Howard Shore, lyrics by Annie Lennox and Fran Walsh and performed by Annie Lennox
Oh, ANNIE LENNOX! What a voice & this song she proves her level of musical mastery. This is a simple song , but ANNIE LENNOX takes it & owns it.
I LOVE this song and how ANNIE'S VOICE
makes it flow .
Is it any wonder she STILL IS THE DIVA OF DIVAS ?
ANNIE LENNOX WILL ALWAYS BE MY FAVORITE SINGER/SONGWRITER . The woman is in a place no
other artist has reached.
Aretha did not sing with just anyone.
My Grandad passed away a few weeks ago. And this song along with Lord of the Rings really makes me think of him. Love it.
Im so sorry for your loss
Lovely Annie fantastic song the best voice in the world fromArgentina thank
I remember sitting in the theater at the end of this incredible tale. United with so many across humankind, this story was the very fabric of the secret yearnings of my childhood, and thus my adulthood. Against all odds, one of our own had been given the reins, and the best A-list actors in the world had, with humility and great dignity, helped him make of the story the movie we had all dreamed. And then the utterly incomparable Annie Lennox’ voice began as the credits started, and I sat there in realization, tears streaming down my cheeks, in awe and with an incredible sense of completeness that this making had freed the secret dreamers living in all of us, including so many that you would never imagine had even heard of “obscure LOTR”…yet all had come together to give Tolkien the majesty and honor he, and our inner child, is due.
Amazing thank you Annie forever fromArgentina
I love this song - the words are just so beautiful.
Perfect... see LOR always brings me this song.... just perfect
This is a masterpiece.
awesome voice... thx for uploading
I really wish they made an official video of Into The West, Annie could have reprise her look from the 'There Must Be An Angel Playing with my Heart' music video or base her appearance of Galadriel.
Watch the video of her singing this live at the Oscars. Divine, sublime, ethereal, angelic .... the dress, the hair, the jewels ...all perfect.
No other words, just Exquisite!!!! As always ❤
I like how there were other versions and ways of singing it that would have been perfect too
