I am glad to see a classic PHT video. No matter if I agree or disagree with you I love to hear your opinion Jason. I agree that the current Vision Pro is an illusion of the product it should be, but I am not sure it will fail. Only time will tell.
Good points. I am very interested in using the Vision Pro for work and travel. It sounds like the work aspect is not there yet. What I want is like the old continuity mode where the Mac showed windows rather than whole displays. If I could get each Mac window as a Vision Pro window so I could multitask then it would really support productivity.
There is a way to do that already - on GitHub
You got to give it to Apple. They can literally sell anything, even an expensive tech demo/DevKit. I'm impressed lol...
Yes and all the fanboys are defending it like maniacs 😂 Just scroll through this comment section!
Absolutely spot-on commentary on what this first VisionPro is and isn’t capable of. Next step: please order one; put it through its paces, and then present your own reactions.
I think as an entertainment device, it is good, albeit too heavy for long sessions (and it would need games), but for productivity, it needs to be better than what we already have to succeed. There's a reason computers haven't really changed that much over the years (in terms of form factor). For productivity, nothing really has been able to surpass the keyboard and mouse. I can't see that changing anytime soon. The VP gives you another way to do things, but I'm not sure it's a better way.
no one talk about the 24oz weight, thats over600grams for metric users like me, i think that a lot for your cervical joints , but hey if apple aint concern why do we right?
From what I heard from other reviews the weight is similar to metas vr goggles.
About 100 grams less.
Quest 3 100 gram lighter INCLUDED built in battery. So about 250 gram VPro heavier in the end...shame.
When i saw the verge review first person I thought of was you 😂 you must of did 3 backflips like yesssss I dodged a bullet.
By the way I like your channel so please don’t take this the wrong way as I’m a RUclipsr too myself and I know these random comments get us annoyed😅…
But I do think that you are looking for an excuse to not get them deep down inside you want one but right now you don’t really have a clear case on why buy it. I do agree this is initially an entertainment device and you are right you don’t need another tv. But I do think that the experience of having one of the best quality vr headsets make it’s worth it.
As a developer I can tell you these headsets are going to change the way we use computers and even work in remote teams. Also the fact that no one has covered Webxr capabilities and once all the new apps get released not just in Apple but in the web it’s going to make this worth it. Do I think everyone should buy this headset nope… these are the pro most people just need the MacBook Air version of this. Now will you miss out on the content you could be making on these headsets yep… but in reality this ain’t the type of content you do here anyways. So business wise if you would have bought you wouldn’t have gotten a good return back on your investment so you did the right thing not getting them.
I definitely did want to buy one and I likely will at some point after it matures a little, but I couldn’t justify it after learning more about what it would be at launch. It’s super disappointing.
I’ve said from the start that AVP will out could change everything, but I just didn’t think it would be so far off at launch.
@@PAINFULLYHONESTTECH My guy, you’re a tech RUclipsr! That’s not an excuse! What do you think we are all 12 years old? I’m in my late 40’s. No way in hell do you pass up a new category from Apple to review even if you sent it back or sold it on eBay! That’s not to mention that it’s a tax write off! No excuse! Damn, at least go do a try on at the Apple Store and form your own opinion! I look at your previous video about you not quitting RUclips. Are you sure about that?
@@Aggie4life77 Jesus, man. I’m doing the best I can.
@@Aggie4life77I for one, don't believe in buying something knowing that I plan to return it. That's just wrong.
Yep I’m holding off that’s for almost 4K not worth it for the first 1. I got my iPad and Mac 💻 book air. M2. And waiting on the new iPad this march thsts. All I need my friend.
You can connect Vision Pro to your tv through share screen on face time which means you can watch with others. And honestly I watch tv alone well watch my iPad alone and I watch it all day so that’s why I got Vision Pro because I want an amazing tv experience for myself plus I love AR and 3d those are two of my favorite things
Exactly no mentions that you can screen share to Mac’s to Apple TV , and watch along with everyone in your living room can they see the 3d or 180ft screen no but you can definitely share the content experience in the same room
lol no comments
Like he said, you can buy a helluva tv for $3500 or tv for 3000 + Quest 3.
Lots of mentions out there how you will only be viewing content on this alone- but I would argue the majority of apple products are based on a single user experience. Sure you can tilt your screen and share something with others- but 99% of the time my iPhone, Apple Watch, and iPad are used exclusively by myself.
The hand tracking 😳 never thought of that 😂
For most people it would be fun to use initially or just to try , but for long term use its not practical, it’s more detrimental to your health(like all VR systems) and separates you more from others around you.
Have you tried it yourself?
Yes. I have. I have one right here. It's the best thing ever.😚
Completely legitimate question absolutely childish response from the creator he’s completely in his feels cannot be objective
@@jjjurgensen454 It is a fair question indeed, but remember nobody can ever *really* be objective. That's kinda the point of a lot of this channel.
@@johnpienta4200 I didn’t know this is the first time I stumbled onto his channel and although I can respect his opinion you have to admit patronizing and responding to his viewers that way was childish and definitely felt emotionally fueled , he’s human I get it but your the creator of this channel , you would think he’d want to put his best foot forward and handle it with class was just a bad first impression of the type of person he may be is all I am saying ,
gave me a huge headache after 15 minutes of use only, as well as a pressure mark on my forehead - it's magical but yet rendered useless for any extended use
Nothing like hearing a second hand review that feeds into the already established confirmation bias.
Yeah, that's all this video is lol
Conformation bias is when you want to believe something that reaffirms your pre-established belief. I WANTED to buy the AVP. I planned to until a couple weeks ago. It wasn't until I got a better idea of what it was going to actually be that I changed my mind. That is the absolute opposite of confirmation bias.
@@PAINFULLYHONESTTECH I watched your previous video where you talked yourself out of it. Whether you "WANTED" to buy it or not, you got cold feet, and you backed out. That happened because of a conclusion you came to, a belief. Now, without any first hand experience yourself, you're jumping on the comments of another reviewer and are saying, "I had my fears, and now some of those fears have come to pass." And you're just accepting that without forming your own first hand opinion. Not only that, you're *solely* focused on the review that "proves" your suspicions. You haven't attempted to balance your position at all by discussing the other reviews that have come back glowing. So this is classical confirmation bias. Like straight out of the textbook. Not only that, you're adding no value to the conversation, as you're only parroting what other's are saying.
Right lol, I like the guy, but the titles/content, definitely click bait.
Apple only seeds review samples to people they know will have nice things up say- The ultimate confirmation bias.
I just don’t think we need to be be wearing big unsociable things on our heads
the corded external battery is a complete NO GO! Especially with such a low battery duration, despite carrying around a chunky power bank
I did not order a VP, I saw Halloween 3 as a kid... that's not happening... "Silver Shammrock"
I’m glad I brought it and can wait to see for myself
Very hard to take any of this given you haven’t tried it yourself 🤔 jury is out(for me) until I can try it
LOL looks like the thumbnail changed. Not feeling quite so negative today?
the heft /weight of the device just won't work for most people 🎉
Who would want to watch tv alone?
Hundreds and thousands of parents around the world with noisy kids who just want some darn alone time to recharge.
I’m sold.
💯 Most people live in small spaces too. Think NYC. AVP gives them a portable big screen. I use to use a projector to compensate, this is a much better solution.
You probably don't have kids jumping on you !
Did you know that Apple - and other manufacturers - have created this wonderful thing that can isolate audio from the rest of the environment called headphones? Nowadays, they are even wireless and can pair via Bluetooth to your TV! And they cost less than a pair of Apple ski goggles. Imagine that.
@@pattycookie2011 yes you are right, my 3 boys are well disciplined.
I can see why it is so polarizing i understand its expensive even in apple terms it's basically trying to be a better quest pro and few people took to that for way cheaper so maybe a device like this without a rich library or vr games is a hard sell
How about we wait for judgment until we actually get our hands on it, might be awesome, might not.
This is a reaction video to my thoughts as I took in what those who have used it have to say.
@@PAINFULLYHONESTTECHwell you only included any negative things a reviewer had to say. I get it though. Everyone is in that phase where they either need to prove they were wise not to buy it or justify buying it.
Great thoughtful video response to all the review videos coming out. It feels like the newton handheld all over again.
Nothing would ever persuade me to buy one of these monstrosities.
The World is Safe, Random Man says No to Monstrosity
@@neanda It is to me and that's all that counts. If you want to wear that on your head, you're welcome to it.😚👍
Even if I could afford it I don’t see how this would be useful for me, but I remain open to possibilities. I remember how I thought the Apple Watch was useless to me, now it has become very useful. I could easily live without my Apple Watch but I definitely wouldn’t want to, so I’m going to reserve judgement on Vision Pro but I don’t have high hopes
You should not speak truth, but i do agree with you, isheeps might not be comfortable and start attacking you.
I've been doing this for 10 years. I'm used to it.
I saw the Verge review of the Vision Pro, and when he talked about the hand thing, I knew what he was saying, but he also said that if your hand is out of sight from the Vision Pro, it can’t track it. So, for those of you who are chilling with Netflix, be sure to be under the cover, lol
If it keeps this form factor it will stay a very small market
Is hand tracking a problem because it is incompatible with VR porn?
The quest 3 is 10× better simply because it works with more things, and is a fraction of the cost. Also doesn't weigh 500 pounds for no reason other than to justify the ridiculous price lol.
65 inch NEO QLED TV vs Apple Vision Pro
Choose wisely
TV for sure. Also cheaper.
Get the sense that AVP could be the 1984 MacIntosh of AR (pioneers a lot of concepts in a very expensive package) as opposed to being the iPhone/Apple Watch of AR (a public beta)
It’s pointless to comment on something you have not tried. Experience it first, speak after.
I can offer my opinion as a consumer as much as I want. There are plentu of other people who are wondering the same things I am and watching these early videos to get a better understanding. I'm providing my reactions and thoughts. Not a thing wrong with that.
@PAINFULLYHOshNESTTECH shut down your channel 🤬
I canceled my, that was scheduled to pickup in few hours. I like apple product, but this one is definitely looks like failure. I don’t see it as near future.
Somebody figure out a way to get all the effect marvels of the Vision Pro without wearing _anything. Even with Airpods Max; I find I have to take them off every hour or so when they start to hurt; just to let my head breathe. But with all the money Apple will take in; certainly expect a better and improved Vision Pro 2 down the pipeline.
We need hologram technology for that.
Such a little understanding of the big picture. Apple Vision Pro won’t fail at all.
I totally understand the bigger picture. Watch my video from after the initial announcement. I was totally on board with it until more indfo came out about what was on offer at launch. Then I got cold feet. Now I'm glad I did. I want the AVP to be successful and I was rooting for it from day one, but what we have here isn't it.
maybe actually... try it?@@PAINFULLYHONESTTECH
It will. Ski goggles are not practical.
*Apple dev kit
Yeah it's going to be a lot of mileage and confusion😅
Come on, the battery life won't be a problem for guys like us. We aren't exactly out hiking or getting a whole lotta physical activity, we can just plug it in and run on battery on the rare occasions that we get off our fat ass. As far as it being heavy, well it is heavier than the Quest, but not often mentioned, lighter than the Quest Pro.
But the Quest Pro is more balanced, with the battery at the back. The VP has all the weight at the front, which will inevitably lead to neck strain and headaches.
Are these guys stupid ? Did they think this could track hands through walls and tables. Have you used hand tracking before ? Go get a quest. As soon as your hands come back into vision. It retracts in milliseconds. You don’t even no it stop tracking your hands. This was the stupid take I ever heard. lol these guys trying to figure out how computer vision works is just funny. These guys have zero clue lol said 110-120 field of view. If this thing has 120field of view. Every VR owner would buy this headset in a second. Just say you can’t afford it man and you would love to have one around your house.
Every VR owner? So like a dozen people.
@@swiftrealm I think it’s close to like 30 million. Most ppl who play video games have tried or own one. Quest two alone sold 20 million
What you said at the end tho rings so true you can totally tell he couldn’t afford one , and when he thought he could he was about it then he makes a video saying how he needs the money somewhere else 🙄 so he had to cancel so because he can’t have it he’s gunna do a 180 on his opinion 😂 like he said just say you can’t afford it and you’ll make a review in the future when you can lol
it actually has a smaller FOV than the Quest 2 😂
So.... It's a Quest 3 without controllers, less FOV, no 3d games, no external VR support, but with higher resolutions. TAKEMYMONEY!!!11oneone
yes and a power bank that only holds for 2 hours 😂😂😂
There are 3D games.
If Apple can bring some type of A.I to The Vision Pro that would be a game changer it needs to be useful outside of a entertainment device
Like what exactly in regards to AI?
The main point I drew from the Verge video, was that for productivity and general computing the interface isn't actually an improvement. Neither in terms of displays (except perhaps in perceived size), nor in terms of UI. He compared hand and eye tracking to the hype about voice recognition in the early 2000s. It's ended up having as being useful in a small subset of categories, not a replacement for the keyboard and mouse. He also noted that the main existing use for AR/VR is gaming, and Apple doesn't make gaming devices.
I'm not an Apple user, the lack of flexibility in their "walled garden" doesn't suit my use cases, but I do use PCVR for productivity. For instance 3D modelling in Adobe Medium, which I can then 3D print. That's a huge improvement for me in the ease of 3D modelling. I use controllers for that though, not hand tracking and that's obviously nothing like bashing out emails, spreadsheets or other documents. I'm also apparently unaffected by motion sickness, a fan of VR games and use the headset for content consumption in some situations, so I use my VR headset daily. Despite that, the Apple Vision Pro doesn't make a compelling use case for me (largely because I don't own other Apple devices and like gaming), let alone a mainstream audience which doesn't have VR specific use cases.
I agree with everything you said and I felt that way since it was announced. This will be the best vr headset going not much more than that. What was the thing that made you change your mind? From the time it was announced until about a month ago you were saying this would be the next revolution in computing, what was the main thing that changed your mind. It’s not just you a lot of people are getting down on a product that is operating just as expected. Just wondering what changed, if it tracked your hands better and had more apps and double the battery life, having a headset on would still suck. I am not sure what any headset offers that would entice someone to want it. Now light weight glasses might tempt a few people but as Google to tell you the market for anything like this is very small. Good luck to Apple or anyone else that tries to improve computing but making you put something on your face and operating it in a vr world. It’s not for real work not for an office setting, it is little more than a expense fun toy that you would be sick of in no time, just like all great headsets it will wind up spending much time unused in a desk.
For me it was when they announced what would and wouldn't be in available in the app store that sealed the deal. I think it has the potential to be a game changer, but it's nowhere near what was alluded to at the announcement. And now that people have it in their hands it seems like it's a lot less than that. I've used a bunch of earlier headsets and yes, after the initial shine wears off they collect dust. I can abide by that for $500 or so $, but not for what Apple's asking for this.
Dont upset the Apple fanboys 😂
The Apple Vision Pro reviews with any credibility are from those reviewers who have actually tried it…reviews like this serve no purpose at all!!! 😂
Vision Pro...Welcome to expensive Quest 1😂😂😂 how to explain this disaster...I think Apple only wants patents.😆
The uncanny valley is a physical response to death
No, it's often in the context I describe here, particularly with art and computers.
@@PAINFULLYHONESTTECHpht is right. You’re wrong lol
I feel like they are banking on this being the next iPhone where people are spending four to eight hours a day on the device and let me tell you if we become a society where people are wearing this thing on their face before to 8 hours a day we are all in trouble. At least with a phone it's more discreet it's small and and pocketable. This thing is huge and obnoxious looking so definitely not the same thing. I feel like the concept is great but the execution is terrible. It would be better if vision OS was a hologram system that could be controlled the same way with the hands just like in the sci-fi movies. Lol I know that sounds crazy but it really seems too constrictive to have a helmet on your face in order to achieve this. I almost feel like trying to meta quest 3 because I feel like it's giving you literally almost the same experience for like what a fourth of the price?
You people know nothing. I know nothing. this is version one. Remember version 1 of all of the other Apple products ? Give me a break.

AVP functionality is available on Quest 3 for $500, same memory, lighter.

Your having a bunch of Apple fans searching this on RUclips trying to daydream. They don't want the painful truth. We have to keep biases off and give the truth. Just like Samsung should add better cameras to the S24 +, just like OnePlus (imo) should ditch the curved screen. Yes, we should boldly call out a $3,500 VR headset considering it's double the price of the competition with less gaming, less comfort, and some troubling compromises. Yes, it innovates in some crazy ways. But too many compromises for the price. Real RUclipsrs tell the painful truth
Jason you’re the best, I get it completely. Please keep the great videos coming…
Thanks! Will do!
It will be a success, as apple customers we are used to telling ourselves the products are perfect and ignoring the shortcomings.
Being a Lemming is nothing to be proud of..
Success of a new product category is measured by: (1) sales, (2) adoption rate, (3) impact, (4) usability and most importantly, (5) return on investment. So far, sold out, check on (1) and (2), clearly a check on (3) also. Lots of net positives on (4). Verdict is still out on (5). Verge reviews are mostly smarmy and typically a net negative even when they try to be positive. Brownlee's review is better even though he may lean toward being too positive, but in this case, it's foolish to drown a decent implementation of tech that is just being born. I'd rather see Cook steer this than Musk or Zuck. Apple will only be able to build 500K glasses this year, so if they all get sold, all other commentary will become irrelevant. Presently, they are almost half way there. Hmmm, I wonder what that means?
You can't really equate (1) as there weren't that many units to begin with.
I would agree, however, since this is an emergent technology, the threshold of success is much lower. One could argue that even being able to manufacture a non trivial number of units is a form of success. Sony is the limiting factor here, since they will only manufacture less than 500K micro displays for Apple within a year. You may want to reserve praise until things settle in more. It’s far too early to be critical. Most of the criticisms I’ve see so far have been petty given the lack of consideration given to existing engineering challenges. You could say, we went to the moon in a tin can wearing diapers! How petty is that?
Even if Apple reduces the size of the Vision Pro to that of ordinary glasses in 10 years or so, why the heck would I want to use it for daily tasks?
I'd love to have this functionality in my everyday glasses and I can see using it at a workstation to augment my work, but right now they are glorified ViewFinders and it has to be more than that.
The same reason everyone wants an AirPods Max
It replaces a monitor or several monitors (at the moment possible with a quest, but not the vision pro)
I think the problem with the Vision Pro is that it will never scale like the other Apple product lines. We all know a lot of people who use iPhones, iPads, and even Apple Watches. Macs don't have the marketshare that PC's do, but even their computer line has kicked a dent in that market. I think most people know relatively few people who own/use any kind of AR/VR headset. Most people have not invested in a $300-$400 version, let alone a $3500 version. I think most people simply don't want to wear a device like this on their face as much as they would feel the need to in order to justify the price. That's likely why the Vision Pro is probably DOA.
It’s not going to fail stop hating
Absolutely not interested in a face PC. I have a phone and a PC.
2 hour battery life? You can't even watch a whole movie on that. But that's ok, you can't get Netflix anyway.
AI is already crossing the uncanny valley with rule 34 and Taylor Swift enough that people called their congressional reps over it. So we're going somewhere (or nowhere) fast. Maybe all the AI hype will be put to something useful?
This is, for now, another one of the tech-hype versions of the southpark underpants gnomes plans:
Step one: Metaverse/Crypto/NFTs/AI/AR/Vision Pro/Oculus/...
Step two: ...
Step three: Profit/Change the landscape/world/how we interact with virtual spaces/whatever marketing BS is proposed
The Verge couldn’t even figure out how to do screen share to show what he can see in his review. He complained Pinching doesn’t work with your hands under a table
This just gives away that Apple has to fine tune their UI more
👍👍, 1st gen vision pro is early adopter money to blow public beta & developer device, needs to be smaller/lighter cheaper with better useful software for mass adoption, maybe 3rd-4th generation will have it figured out
It already failed lol. Bet its the only vr headset apple makes. There wont be a second one. 3500 dollar paperweight that literally 100% of people that buy it will regret.
Pretty short time will show how good or bad is idea of spending 3,5K plus tax for this .Haters will bite you so prepare.
P.S. I think for 80 plus %% Americans , 3,75K not big deal to spend for innovation toy from APPPPLE.
In the book After Steve they talked about how the iPhone X was experimental and hard to produce so they raised the price to an insane point to stop criticism and ignore the headphone jack. Apple thinks long term and with intention. (I don’t think the two hour battery life was a mistake or some weird tech limitation, it’s to stop people from going out of the house with it.)
Yeah, but raising the price to get people to not complain about tech shortcomings or hobbling the device's battery artificially are not exactly ethical business practives. This is very similar to slowing down phones to "save the battery" and some of the other shady dealings Apple's gotten sued over in the past. If the tech isn't there, don't release it. Respect your customers enough to not grift them out of their money on a proiduct you know isn't ready.
The iPhone X was just another iteration of the massively popular iPhone. It cannot be compared to a speculative industry that has to make up use cases that end up being shittier than just using a computer with a keyboard and mouse and multiple displays.
Well, you can leave the house with it for a couple hours. You people are hilarious with your conspiracies.
You're an Apple fanboy? My condolences.
I thought Google Glass was dumb. Apple is having a “hold my beer” moment.
Except their launch was about 100x more successful than Google Glass. good luck with your sentiment.
regarding moving your hands out of sight, why would you do that? and saying that 'imagine your keyboard kept disconnecting when you moved it out of sight??? why would you move your keyboard or mouse out of sight?
in any case, if your BT kb disconnects, it takes a while to reconnect, your hand doesn't.
this is a waste of time review of reviews, you're just trying to get the views due to all the reviews by people who actually have the product. stop wasting peoples time, and yours

Watch my other videos on the AVP. I want it to succeed. I have been excited about it since launch. It wasn't until I discovered more about what it really is at launch that I decided not to buy one. It needs to pay off on at least some of its promise to draw praise. At this point it's a glorified set of movie goggles. If you think I'm an Apple hater, you have no idea who you're talking to. I just don’t see what they are doing differently enough here to justify a 3k up charge on experimental tech. And to include an external battery solution on a VR headset and it still be the 2 hours all the other VR headsets are getting is absolutely ridiculous. This is going to be a huge fail imo.
There were more negative reviews for the first iPhone. As Vision evolves into a consumer product it will start becoming more and more of the vision product it wants to become.
From all the reviews I've seen: The worse outcome played out here, where it doesn't even hold up to be a 'bigger better lonely iPad'. It seems more useless now than what I already felt like to be a 'redundant' piece of technology. At least for the foreseeable future.
It’s a first gen product. Be patient. Every RUclipsr I’ve watched thus far has already dubbed Vision Pro as the best VR on the market. Apple will over time address the short comings. This tech is unreal.
Of course! They have early access! Won't trash the product
The best VR maybe, but VR is still not very popular.
I'm watching this and immediately remembering Steve Ballmer mumbling about how iPhone would be a failure 🤦🏼
Oh no! This is a complete different situation. The iPhone with its touchscreen and perfectly designed software offered a completely new way to navigate through a smartphone. But Apple Vision Pro lacks such a killer feature.
@@PySnek This is exactly Balmer's rhetoric. iPhone had touchscreen. Vision Pro has eye lead and finger based navigation. This is a KILLER feature.
@@robbiengall not really because it's pretty bad in its current state and you can also already use a Quest with finger based navigation. The only reason why eye tracking is not on board is that it would skyrocket the price at the moment
@@PySnek Have you already tried it?
I agree with you, this is gonna flop, the quest 3 is so much better for the price
Not a flop
@@brandonsmith6962it won’t flop simply because Apple has unlimited money and Steve Jobs envisioned this product almost 15 years ago so they’re gonna run with it. I think the eye tracking is the only thing keeping it in the water. Still wearing goggles though. I don’t wear my q2 because…. It’s goggles.
😂
@@brandonsmith6962 Cheer up... Apple had many flops before.
It’s a stinker 💩💩💩💩
It's a turkey.....it was always going to be a turkey
Hololens is AR Vision Pro is VR (completely dark when off) simple test of quality To me vision pro is a worse HoloLens 2 (less expensive true AR experience) and both should NEVER be aimed at consumers. Apple is desperate for another huge hit , thus this stupid product for consumers and later a EV car. iPhone is aging and they are in trouble.
Aside from issues we already knew (the price and the weight) I haven't heard a lot of negatives in the reviews. I mean, I find the Verge to be biased against Apple, so it wasn't surprising to me that their review had a negative slant. Like, the device can't see your hands if there's something blocking them from the camera.... umm, yeah, that's how physical objects work. You can't see through them. Anyway, I have one on order and after watching all the reviews I'm still as excited as ever to get it.
I feel apple can kill 3 birds (price, weight, battery life) with 1 stone by removing the outer screen. From the reviews it’s hard to make out the eyes and doesn’t serve a purpose to the user. Removing it seems like a no brainer.
Talking to someone with goggles on is normal anyway. I do this with friends when snowboarding, I don’t need to see their eyes.
@@NT-or9whI also think that third-party straps and weights will help a lot with comfort. I hope so anyway. I know with my Quest it makes all the difference. The best straps put the weight on your forehead and the top of your head, like a hat, rather than on your face. And a weight in the back for counterbalance helps a ton too.
You're biased because you bought one.
I think if you bought this thing as a computing device you may be disappointed in the short term depending on what you do but if you bought it as an entertainment device your going to be blown away !! He wanted to compute he can’t afford it so the creator is negative , I believe your experience will largely be impacted by what you wish to do but coming from a home theater enthusiast 3000 is like a drop in bucket compared to what we spend 180ft double vision cinema screen at native 4k people pay 200,000 for 200” screens , let alone feet in the theater space so success to me in this space is completely relative
This will be Apple's waterloo device.
I've said that before and been wrong about it. We'll see.
What is the point of this video? Reviewing a product by reading 3rd party articles and opinions... Then reviewing what your experience might be 💀
This isn’t a review.
@@PAINFULLYHONESTTECH brother.. It's a review.
@@PAINFULLYHONESTTECHbro your vid picture says the device is failing
@@PAINFULLYHONESTTECHyou have good content, but this video is just lazy clickbait...
I never thought I'd see myself defending this man but here we are... At no point in the title, thumbnail, description, or video does he claim he is reviewing the device. At no point did he claim he had access to this device. People like you and me are allowed to have opinions on the vision pro or anything and share our opinions with whoever we like, about whatever we want. At no point did I ever feel like I was misled by the title or the contents of the video. Unlike other videos he made where he did not disclose and still to this day refuses to disclose a business partnership which is why I didn't even wanna watch this video.
I'm actually quite a bit more worried than I started off being.
Firstly, I have to be blunt: Apple Vision Pro isn't really doing much that we haven't already seen. Every headlining feature from multitasking to eye tracking to gesture control has already had high quality (and often higher quality) implementations in other HMDs. And people who've been tuned into advancements in XR may even scoff at the lower refresh rate and FOV compared to the likes of the Meta Quest 3.
The one and only party trick Apple has is EyeSight - which could potentially have been a big deal. That could de-isolate the experience to where the outside world has a very real connection to the person in a headset.
Unfortunately, we've already seen enough to know that is not the case. Blurry, dim, low res, hard to see in most lighting conditions... some of that can't even be fixed with an update.
Which is rough because - as mentioned before - we've already seen everything else Apple Vision Pro brings to the table done before and done well.
I don't see the Pro in apple's vision
Wait, you mean even with these things on, you cannot have a three monitor 'virtual monitor' setup from your main machine? So drop $4k, and I am still pinned into one screen for all my coding or whatever, and its virtual. Please... take my money.
No, you cannot! You can put up other vision pro apps to the sides, but you can't do multiple computer monitors.
the quest 3 gives you up to 5 monitors on any pc, including macs ;) starting at $470
This guy gives off the vibe that he’s some sort of expert influencer. Where’s your review unit? Post a real review when you get a Vision Pro. That’s right, you aren’t buying one. So shut up and review something that you have first hand knowledge about.
2:22 The heavy reliance on your hand visibility is not a good thing hopefully they can fix this in the future. 3:51 I like how you said it at first it's like replacing our reality with a fake reality. 5:55 Having those honest critiques should help Apple to make sincere effective improvements because I for one don't want Vision Pro to fail. 5:55 The view limitations is a problem but I think this is fixable. 6:42 I honestly believe Vision Pro will shine in the entertainment industry such as with the games and movies. 7:17 I know that I won't be keen on watching TV alone, movies are better emjoyed with companies. 9:07 At least it is tailored towards getting actual task done but to lock us out from reality by covering our eyes and blocking our peripheral senses is very restrictive.
Reason number 1: price.
4700 US doll hairs:
3500 Vision Pro
500 Apple Care
200 extra battery
150 prescription lens

My guy, you’re “Painfully Honest Tech” with over 200k subs without a new product category product from Apple and you have the nerve to make a video based off off a always negative Nilay Patel who gave similar reviews to the iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch? Then you make a review video based off of his thoughts? You might want to go back to teaching!
I referenced some point from his review. Jesus Christ, I’m doing the best I can over here. I also made another video a week ago that outlined my concerns and why I decided not to order one after planning to since it was announced.
And you’re right, I might wanna go back to teaching because sometimes reading my comments sections sucks ass.
Me: Could it be any more embarrassing?
Clown with red glasses: Hold my beer. 🙄
Could it be more embarrassing?
