i own the older version of the Fender Mustang I, the 20watt 1x8, and I can say it is pretty good for heavy metal in general, you just have to search and find the right presets / effects created by fender (that are not in the amp) or from other users. The V.2 is the new version, with new software - which seems amazing by the way, specially the new amp selection part. I hope that the older mustangs would get an update for this software - but as fender is, they probably won't. Cheers!
I have had this amp (mustang 3 v2) for a couple months now (upgraded from a mustang 1). It's not bad, but I can definitely hear the "solid state-ness" of it. For the amp to sound good for high gain stuff, it should be miked to a p.a. For high gain sounds, my favorite is the super sonic (preset 21). For cleans, I use the twin reverb with a compression pedal effect or a 57. Honestly, if the Orange crush amps were a little cheaper and came with a footswitch to switch between clean and dirty, I would've gotten that. But for 300$, this isn't bad, but I've been looking at replacements for the past month. I thought I would like all the added amps and effects, but turns out, simpler is better for me, not everyone, but it's what I prefer now.
Have the IV and the stereo imaging 12's really make it special for a solid state amp. Installed a 1/4" speaker jack to plug an extension disengaging the internal on one channel. Super amp line.
I've got one of these ( mustang I, V2) and it makes a great little 'PA speaker' for the money. I run a small drum machine AND a strat plugged through ToneLab SE floorboard though the auxiliary input... for such a small box, it gets VERY LOUD, with no audible hiss or distortion
il mio set è composto da un mustand IV v.2 , footswicht a 4 e una epiphone les paul standard plus top con pick up alnico II pro humbecker , è va una bomba !!
Yeah, I got my mustang I a year ago (almost exactly a year ago, can't believe it's been that long) so I'm not sad about it, but it would have been nice to get at least some new effects to play with. BTW, I went scavenging in the Fender msg boards, it's official: Old ones don't get the new stuff. Seems reasonable, they've been out for a while now
attention to fender bosses mustang as designes asked of in letter and off designs sent thank you like what seen pedal board the lot as want it layed out so people uderstand it easy access to all aps . smart design .our company has good shelf place with maustang now do the stereo head with open close back asked for
I have the Mustang I and it works great. But, how do I store new my custom settings? I couldn't find this info on the video, or on the website. Anyone know where the documentation is on this?
I was wondering if is possible to use the optional 4-button foot switch with a Mustang 3 - v.2 amp? I currently own a Mustang 2 (not the v.2 model) but don't have a switch for it and was thinking of upgrading to a M3 - v.2 unit. Was checking out the Fender forum and several people mentioned using a 4-button foot switch plus a 2-button f.s which gave them the equivalent of having a 6-button foot switch !! Is this really possible ??
OK I like it but can anyone tell me What is the difference between a Fender Mustang I 20 Watt 1x8 Combo Amplifier and a Fender Mustang I V.2 Combo Amplifier? From what I read on the specifications they are almost equal, maybe the 1x8 amp is an older version but they both seem to have the same software, and in price the V.2 seems to be about £10 - £15 more I don't know I just want a practice amp that can give me heavy metal/punk sounds and blues as well, so any advice is welcome.
please help me. i just got the mustang iv v2 150w version. i don't know if i can do so safely, so I'm afraid to try it, but is it safe for me to use this combo amp as my amp head? i would be attaching it to an engl 412 240w thank you for the help of possible. i looked for the answer in online forums and i looked at the back panel of the fender, and it doesn't mention specifically (like the Line6 spider combos do) speaker cable input... i.e 8/16 ohm. i don't want to risk any damage
wow that really sucks, same amp same price, just a few new features. and just getting mine a week ago really sucks now that they announce this, It' still a great amp and all and I think it may have been discounted the one I got was a birthday gift so I can't complain, if they aren't gonna upgrade our firmware they should at least seperate the Fuse sections on the site for V1 and V2 users so we don't end up downloading unusable patches because they are screwing us on the new models and fx
I tried to love it. I really did. But, when it comes to great tone from a small amp the Peavey Vypyr series just absolutely blows the Mustangs (whether version one or two) completely out of the water.
For all the people out there who don't have 20/20 (Which is what it takes to see it) The girl does have strings on the guitar. It's very obvious, look closely.
Help I want to play backing tracks from my PC Laptop into a IV Fender Mustang Stereo Amp. I am connected to Fender Fuse Software and connected with USB cable to Amp? Do I need a jack? Great Amp'
Warning I bought a Mustang IV and he ruined the audio output with less than 50 days. In my opinion is a product durability and no harm done, I can not recommend something that does not work. I'd rather have my money back than have to use this product again spoiled!!!
I bought this amp two months ago and now there's a new one for the same price? What a load of crap! Do the V1's get any sort of firmware update at all?
They use a jaguar for the heavy channels? White not use a nice strat with two smoking humbuckers? Personally jaguars are terrible sounding guitars to begin with!!!!! I have this amp with an 800.00 Jackson soloist and it sounds great.
I have this amp, it's pretty shit. It's cleans are ok, but the gain is by far the worst gain I've ever had on an amp, and don't even think about putting a pedal in front of this piece of shit
TheGoldenChodeTV Fender amps are not amplifier design for hard rock or metal, it can be done but Fender amplifiers are better known for jazz, blues, soft rock, classic rock. Get a Fender supersonic twin 100 tube amp, it does all of the above I mention plus hard rock, grung and metal.
Metallion 1,968 I actually tried out a princeton at gc last time i went. I still have this amp, and have to say that it is utter shit but fender tube amps are fucking amazing. I played a used '92 lefty fender American strat through it and my god i was able to get an srv tone with just volume knob and i put a fulltone ocd pedal as a signal booster and got a sick yjm sound
I bought the 20 W model today, after seeing this video, I'm not even going to unpack, ill go back and get the 40 W
I love that you included guitars from other manufacturers in the video. Good job Fender!

That pitch shift wah is just awesome.

I just got my Mustang V brand new last week and now they announce this, doesn't seem fair.
Have the IV and the stereo imaging 12's really make it special for a solid state amp. Installed a 1/4" speaker jack to plug an extension disengaging the internal on one channel.

If these are playing through traditional Celestion speakers you would not use speaker modulation, correct?
1:15, Holy shit, i've never seen something like that on a jazzmaster before.
Love the pigs can fly preset as well as twin swing and pawn king..
I actually think that the G-DEC 3 seems to offer much more. You can't beat built in live backing tracks. Mustang seems like a good buy though.
il mio set è composto da un mustand IV v.2 , footswicht a 4 e una epiphone les paul standard plus top con pick up alnico II pro humbecker , è va una bomba !!
I´ve the mustang IV, it´s amazing, I hope that the firmware works in this too...!!!
Fender own Jackson...
Looks sick
Busted! @2:14
Got this amp it's great

She has all of the six strings. Put on 720p on fullscreen and pause at 2:14...you can clearly see that the guitar has all of the strings.
attention to fender bosses mustang as designes asked of in letter and off designs sent thank you like what seen pedal board the lot as want it layed out so people uderstand it easy access to all aps . smart design .our company has good shelf place with maustang now do the stereo head with open close back asked for
Could this handle effect pedals? Not the ones already in amp
That's awesome!
What about the Mustang Floor?
Hello! How to conect a expression pedal on my Fender Mustang IV?
I have the Mustang I and it works great. But, how do I store new my custom settings? I couldn't find this info on the video, or on the website. Anyone know where the documentation is on this?
Se vc não tiver uma guitarra e ampli Fender jamais terá belos sons!
Someone should probably tell the girl with the white strat with gold pickguard that she might sound better if there were strings on the guitar.
Lol
there are strings on the guitar.
If there are strings then they are the thinnest ever , or they reshot the video with strings after reading
i guess we'll never know hahhahah
Nope no strings on that white strat....freeze it at around 2:34 there's no way
I was wondering if is possible to use the optional 4-button foot switch with a Mustang 3 - v.2 amp? Is this amp and pedalboard better than the Line 6 Spider Amps and Pod HD pedalboards?
OK I like it but can anyone tell me What is the difference between a Fender Mustang I 20 Watt 1x8 Combo Amplifier and a Fender Mustang I V.2 Combo Amplifier?

What is that metal tone at 1:15? I can't seem to get that tone...
It's either a Jackson Dinky or Jackson Soloist for sure.
Will the EXP-1 pedal work with the Mustang I and II? Or will you still have to get the Mustang III or greater to use it?
hey guys,what jazzmaster is at 0:28 ??
GT amps have these fx too?
Will the old Mustangs get a firmware update to include these?
What is the mustang the difference between the first version & the v 2.0 ?
I was asked if i wanted this for my birthday... I asked in return, "Is that a question?!?!?"
is this going to be available as a software download for existing Mustang amps?
Yeah not quite man. Fender owns Jackson, Gretsch and Charvel these days.
So......firmware update for mustang ii?
Is that the dude from good Charlotte?
2:26 looks like(or it's?) a righthanded Eric Gales
0:16 what guitar is that?
please help me. i just got the mustang iv v2 150w version. i don't know if i can do so safely, so I'm afraid to try it, but is it safe for me to use this combo amp as my amp head? i would be attaching it to an engl 412 240w thank you for the help of possible. i looked for the answer in online forums and i looked at the back panel of the fender, and it doesn't mention specifically (like the Line6 spider combos do) speaker cable input... i.e 8/16 ohm. i don't want to risk any damage
Josef Wright Yes it's safe, as long as your cab is not les than 150 watts, but over 150 watts, it should be o.k or safe.
As mr jbot29 says will this come as a firmware upgrade for the current Mustang III?
2:20 looks like strings to me.
she does if you look closely you can see them
wow that really sucks, same amp same price, just a few new features. and just getting mine a week ago really sucks now that they announce this, It' still a great amp and all and I think it may have been discounted the one I got was a birthday gift so I can't complain, if they aren't gonna upgrade our firmware they should at least seperate the Fuse sections on the site for V1 and V2 users so we don't end up downloading unusable patches because they are screwing us on the new models and fx

But before that, she has
Drakendor123 bewbz
@2:14 She does.
Done with fender. Mustang 2 worth $65. Tele has fret sprout.
These badboys better not make as much noise as the Mustang 4 I have... No worries though, selling it a buying a real Fender tube.
Help
I want to play backing tracks from my PC Laptop into a IV Fender Mustang Stereo Amp. I am connected to Fender Fuse Software and connected with USB cable to Amp? Do I need a jack? Great Amp'
Use an Aux Chord
well, Jackson, Gretch, Charvel r from fender too
You will have to get the mustang 3 or higher.
She does have string
At last I've found this useful demo among those crappy talkative videos ....
Who ruined the audio output?
1:03 almost like a big muff
doesnt Fender market Gretsch and Jackson anyway?
If you look closely you can see that there actually are strings on there though, lol.
It sounds a regular show montage
Can I return my Mustang 3 and $30 for a Mustang 3 v.2?
There are no strings on that chicks guitar 0:15
lol. good catch.
Haha nice.. Actually the strings are there.. It's just too fine.. U can confirm it at 2:20
they just too thin to see them,. extra thin strings :D
Atençao, eu comprei um fender mustang IV e ele estragou a saída de aúdio
Warning I bought a Mustang IV and he ruined the audio output with less than 50 days. In my opinion is a product durability and no harm done, I can not recommend something that does not work. I'd rather have my money back than have to use this product again spoiled!!!
Mustang 2 discontinued and only worth $65. Made mine a cab. I hate Fender. Their tele sucks too.
SHIT AT LEAST THY HAD ERIC GALES IN THERE!
Too Funny!
I bought this amp two months ago and now there's a new one for the same price? What a load of crap!

Krap

Wade Tyler One should never listen to guitar-related advice from a guy who uses a strat or a Jackson.
Trener MorskihPasa I would say I totally agree with you if it weren't for the fact I love my strat
just stopped working.
Wow....they really made a good sounding amp sound like crap! Take this video down. LOL!
lol
Am I the only one who thinks this way? Pitchshifter=fake pinch harmonic
These amps have no midrange and the digital distortion and effects are only good for metal and pop players. Really disappointed.
I hate fender products.
You guys really made that amp sound like crap, didn't you
I think they all sound pretty horrible
I have this amp, it's pretty shit. It's cleans are ok, but the gain is by far the worst gain I've ever had on an amp, and don't even think about putting a pedal in front of this piece of shit

Metallion 1,968 I wish solid states would become illegal or something. They are basically stealing money from people who don't know much about amps
Not in this world...
r u blind or what?
lol
