I really felt for you in that terrible weather and I had a felling you might opt out of camping but I still can't believe the farmer didn't make you a sandwich and stored your bike under cover. Have people lost the ability to host these days.
And, many thanks to Monika for melding this all together to a compiled video!! Freddie, we love you and your explorations! We now need to see you cleaning the bike after this journey through rain and puddles, muddy lanes and Motorways. The Classic T100 Motorbike is to be revered and respected and loved and used!! Thanks from NZ!
I’m 55 years and an ocean away from you reflecting on rides I’ve taken in my time because of your work. While you have the advantage of great cameras for you to remember it all try to somehow record the feel of the machine, cold air on your face, and the time alone when only little worries were in your life. Thank you for returning me to early morning rides between farms with those sometimes rude aromas people in automobiles never get. Thank for making me remember.
Joe and Emily probably looked on in horror at those closeup shots of the bike covered in dirt and muck. But at least the bike is out in the wild again, thanks to them. Take good care of the Bonnie. It’s part of the charm of your channel.
Mate, it's the bad and mishaps that make these kind of videos the best 👌 I'm from Ireland but have been living in Australia for the last 20yrs and I love and miss seeing this kind of countryside...
The things you put yourself and your bike through for content 😅 It made for good viewing despite your plans not working out but that's what adventures are all about.
I honestly didn't know the UK had so many charming and beautiful spots and stunning roads and landscapes until I started watching your channel. First time the UK has been "on my map". I feel like exploring the different areas on bike!
That farm stay was a real gem. You actually explored a refuge area. Where development had not destroyed the area. Time goes slow and special attributes survive. The weather and sunshine and greenery and unmolested landscape is actually like parts of southern Australia....in Winter inbetween a rain front, it will be warm and sunny for days.
Ohh Freddie, to see the resurrected Bonneville in such a state reminds me of that floodwater crossing. The journey has been adventurous, daring & challenging but spectacular! Hopefully you returned home safely. Make sure Monika pushes you to wash your Bonneville 😉
Rainbow biker themed cafe, East Knighton, 10 minutes away from you Airbnb. I'm a Luddite so always carry a small note pad and pencil in a waterproof plastic bag to make notes on things I've forgotten to carry, places, people and roads of interest, phone numbers and ideas that spring into my head that I'll probably forget so scribbling down some notes just makes me happy. I lived in Bovington and worked at the Gunnery School at Lulworth so know every inch of the area. Tom's Field campsite, Bredy Farm, Chapmans Pool, Square & Compass, Worth Matravers, Abbotsbury/Burton Bradstock coast road, S-Bomb Poole...... the list goes on. Enjoy your adventure 🧭🛣⛺️
It's great to see you using your Bonneville to get wherever you want to go. I couldn't help but smile and think about Joe and Emily when I saw all that muck all over your bike, but that's what travelling is about, and getting the most out of the journey. Yet another great video and a real pleasure to see your bike back on the road.
Great video! Even though things went not as you had planned or hoped, it is so nice to hear you say you enjoyed. Because mostly, we all do, even though things go wrong. Be well.
Sometimes on a wel planned trip almost nothing seems to work out right. After a short time of dissapointment or even being pissed of. You adapted, change plans, or just wing it. Go to the right in stead of the left. Usually there are only one or two days on a trip that comes close to feeling perfect. And its those days that made the trip worth while.
Enjoyed the ride in the undeveloped area. Especially the T.E. Lawrence part. The 1,000 year old farmstead…amazing. Freddie …you are not spending money…you are making memories.
As with most things Freddie, First time is a learning experience and will inform your choices for you next camping trip. Very enjoyable video and history lesson about T.E. Lawrence. Thanks for bringing us along . Cheers and ride safe, Dan ✌️🏍🇨🇦
Yes I've seen someone on RUclips suggesting fitting a full length Royal Enfield front mudguard, probably off a Bullet or a lovely 350 !! Worth looking into Freddie! 😊
Hmmm, I have started to think this. The original Bonneville mudguard is plastic, which I didn’t love. But… I’ll start looking for a metal alternative, because I do agree with you
Glad you didn’t get caught up in that wreck Freddie. That’s always scary. I was riding along the interstate in Ohio once, when a semi trailers inner rear tire blew right next to me. Scared the hell out of me. Luckily it was the inner tire and not the outer or I might not be here today. It was fun dodging bits of rubber tire at 80 mph. Now that I’ve finished my Sunday ritual of watching you , I’m gonna go clean my bike. You should do the same.lol 😁
Cold Comfort Farm! I'll be swerving that one if they can't manage a breakfast. About 30 years ago I stayed on the coast near there in a slightly run-down hotel which back in its glory days had been the starting point for the float plane service to the US. Probably redeveloped by now. Sandbanks' appeal is really its relative proximity to London. Devon, Cornwall & large parts of Wales can all offer better coastline. Get a proper front mudguard, that shorty is allowing your front wheel to act like a hosepipe on your engine. Great film once again despite your technical problems. Take care.
I was really hoping there’d be a breakfast, but I think my 8pm booking didn’t give the owners a chance to stock up on food. I agree- I probably do need a bigger mudguard
Not to worry Freddie, intermittent fasting is good for you. The bonnie is a lot dirtier than when I saw you unveil it in Tamworth but that's what it's all about, doing the miles and exploring. Nice one young man!
I've wanted to visit Clouds Hill for many years. Freddie I have a few days off next week and if the rain stops I will do it on my bike. Great to see some sunshine and your Bonneville in good health again
I grew up about 5 miles away from Moreton and Lawrence’s final resting place. I spent much of my early biking days ripping around these roads - it’s a beautiful part of the world and it was lovely to see you enjoying it too.
I bet Monica had a little chuckle about your camping exploits. Must admit there is nothing better than a good days ride followed by a nice shower and a comfy bed, to set you up for the following day. Anyway it was an entertaining video, and that's what counts 👍👍👍
Hi Freddie enjoy your videos, I spent 17 years around the purbecks delivering parcels etc lovely place to work and I made many friends over those years so must get down there on one of my bikes sometime soon, so much to see 👍
Tell you what Freddie, if I had the money to live on Sandbanks, I WOULDN’T live on Sandbanks!! I’d go some where warm. For what that cost you could have stayed in a REALLY good hotel and taken Monika with you to organise things!!! Enjoyed the videos very much though - a true how not to go camping lesson.
Hi Freddie, another entertaining video and great to watch on a sunny Sunday morning! However, I do think the farmer could have given you a couple of bits of toast and a coffee; that would have been the decent thing to do. Glad you’re OK after your near miss riding home.
Nice bit of accommodation out in the sticks. The Farm looks really old with loads of character. I think the Bonneville has picked up some dirt, possibly from the track leading to the Farm. Freddie, hoping you have a lovely breakfast and you are feeling better.
Well done, Freddie. Making the best out of bad weather and not turning back. Taking us to the places we probably have never been and passing on some interesting history along the way. Very inspiring, thankyou.
You are right, the Studland side leads you into so many areas with so much to see and do. If you really want to see what life was like in Dorset, pop down to Tyneham village and wonder or Kimmeridge and so many other poi's. Great video as ever, and I like the idea of the Airbnb you stayed in. May well give that a look next time we are down there.
The Isle of Purbeck which is where you where is a lovely part of England. I go camping there every year and never get bored of going back. Pleased to see you have breakfast in Swanage.
@@FreddieDobbs Yes you really should Freddie, there are some great places to visit. There is a great campsite between Corte Castle and Swanage called ‘Downshay Farm Campsite’ which has all the facilities, there is a Shepard’s Hut they rent out also. Better to book a head though.
My stomping ground! I live in the poor area just around the corner from Sandbanks! Next time you’re in Swanage, check out the Salt Pig Too. Also, if you divert a little bit and head towards Corfe, the views are amazing and Corfe Castle makes a great thumbnail, plus the road from Corfe to Studland is brilliant. Lovely to see my part of the world on the RUclipss.
Thank you for this one! Sems like you made an Episode about me going Solo moto Camping , buying all the stuff and ending up in a hotel 😂😂😂! Great one! Thank god I am Not the only one!😅
Whilst I see that you like motorbikes, i get the sense that it's where they get you that's more important. But, with the bit of added adventure that the bike brings.
Cool video , pass by this place so often on way North .....one to visit soon . On camping, I can highly recommend the cloud peak 2 tent . A reasonable quality sleeping pad and the sleeping bag you probably have . All packed in a lomo dry bags . Don't travel far on first trip as you are aware things can go a wee bit wrong . Keep at it . 2 things to do when your back ..... 1st wash the bike 2nd air that sleeping bag ! 😂 Don't give up on camping .....
Great upload Freddie, you did well working around the technical problems. The are is amazing, I have never been but it's a little piece of old England that should be protected forever!
At the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride, I was chatting to the lovely guy who detailed your bike prior to handing over. Looks like you make need to make a double booking with him. Those insta cameras are indeed brilliant but I think the 8K is for the whole 360 field of view. Once you select the view you want, it's probably less than 2K. As always, very entertaining. I hope the Rode Wireless microphones eventually dry out and work again
Great video, You visited most of places I go to when I visit Dorset especially Lawrence legend. The filming problems not worries “to err is human” that’s why your videos are so good to watch so natural
Loved part 2, great part of England to explore with fantastic biking roads. The Tower shown in your footage across Swanage in the distance originally stood on old London Bridge. Lovely walk out to it. Keep doing what you're doing, hopefully see you on the road one day.
Harry Redknapp lives in Sandbanks. That's how I found out about it several years ago. I'm a Londoner but my familiarity with that part of Dorset stems from being in the Army Cadets in secondary school back in the early '70s. My cadet unit was affiliated to the 2nd Royal Tank Regiment which is based in Bovington (where the Lawrence of Arabia memorial is located.) We went down there for a week, got to ride around on tanks at the training ground, attended a display of the abilities of new armoured vehicles at the MOD gunnery range in Lulworth Cove, and visited the Tank Musuem. I've also holidayed in Bournemouth/Boscombe since then.
Hi Freddie, I'm a day late with this post. The film quality and focus was superb, the content was enjoyable and all the tent camping footage seems to be missing 😂😂 glad you're alright from your motorway scare... keep safe and love to you and Monika, see you next week 👍👍👍👍
Freddie, you made me homesick for ol’ blighty. I moved to the U.S. in 1983, but generally get home every year. My sister and husband don’t live that far from Studland and the Sandbanks chain ferry and have visited several times. Hampshire and Dorset have some beautiful countryside and sea vistas. Glad you managed to stay away from the pileup; I’m guessing on the M27. Ride safe and thanks for your great videos. I now need to find Part 1 😉
Another great video Freddie! The old farm stay looked like an interesting way to spend a night, better than a wet sleeping bag! Stay safe and keep the videos coming. It's a chance for us here in the USA to see the wonderful country side there.
Love your obsession with breakfast, Freddie, I would have first then second breakfast but I love your idea of just ordering two, lol! Not sure I'd pay £88 for that pod but I guess it saved you a miserable wet night in a tent!
Morning to you Freddy…. Thanks for this as it will lift my spirits en route to Cornwall for a 3 day road trip on my Pan European … I’m an old boy now so it’s premier inns for me mate! I’ll send your love to the coastline and thank you also for inspiring me to make this trip with your can do positive attitude and relentless enthusiasm for the better things in life 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️
Was expecting to se ma and pa Larkin at the startand Catherine zeta jones please the reason I watched it. Always a pleasure and experience to watch. Warts and all glad bikes dirty, it can be cleaned. Bikes are for using. I’ve always got some Kit Kats or biscuits in my bag. Fab entertainment as always. No breakfast on a farm! I think the chaos in your vlogs is a winner it happens to us all and so pleasant you expose it. You may feel embarrassed but all your followers would like your life😊
Man oh man, why can't we in the USA have such quaint and beautiful little towns along backroads like you in the UK do? I'm quite jealous. Brilliant video, Freddie! Nice to see that you are getting some real use out of that rebuilt Bonnie. I'll bet that you are making Joe proud.
So romantic! Hens and rooster... I remember roosters we once kept they always vere angry and I was afraid of them😢Freddie you show incredible beautiful England
Loved this video of you riding around my ‘backyard’. You’ve inspired me to get over to look at TE Lawrence’s house. Next time you’re in the area you MUST visit Sammy Miller’s Motorcycle Museum on your way back to London. You won’t regret it. Sammy is a legend of motorcycle racing and has a superb collection of bikes in his New Forest Museum. He is still working in the museum (even though he is in his 80’s I think). He’d be great to interview. Good on you Freddie, keep up the great work. This one was absolutely hilarious!
Thanks Freddie for yet another insight to someone with untirable curiousity. As an old bloke with a cbt embarking on everyday adventures i have to hand it to you . Your videos are so much fun to watch and learn from . I used your information alot visiting Tenerife and Gomera. We have all had a paracetamol breakfast from time to time ,take care
Dorset is a lovely part of the world Freddie. If you’re down that way again, there are plenty of tiny villages that haven’t changed in a very long time. Have a look at Cranborne Chase … Zig Zag Hill is always a challenge 😁
Great film freddie love the laurence of Arabia article very interesting Never seen the bonneville looking so good boy did he do a great job for you Thanks again
"What would we do with an organised Freddie, What would we do with an ordered Freddie, What would we do with a structured Freddie, Early in the morning...."
As all the top gear (original crew) will tell you, when things do not go as planned you get the best content!! I will recommend you always have paracetamol, a bottle of water, and a meal bar or two in your bags 🙂
There is no need to apologise, mate. You are out there doing it and creating videos we enjoy. More power to ya 👍
Hear, hear
The vast majority of us don't have half the adventures.
Thanks Phil!

I was thinking the very same 😂
and don´t you forget monica who does makes him clean the bike every day he rides in .... she must be waiting in the garage with a bucket full of soap
Travel eating tip: always take a couple of packs of dried flavoured noodles 🍜 and or dried porridge oats.
Spork are very handy.
Freddie's videos are so relaxing.
If you're down that way again pop in to Sammy Miller motorcycle museum in New Milton..
Excellent place to visit.
He can't keep getting away with it. He can't keep getting away with uploading videos without doing the actual camping...
Mate, it's the bad and mishaps that make these kind of videos the best 👌 I'm from Ireland but have been living in Australia for the last 20yrs and I love and miss seeing this kind of countryside...
Thanks Noel!
My brother came back to Uk last year after 30 yrs in NZ, we had nice weather and he said forgot how beautiful uk is, old world pubs etc.
The things you put yourself and your bike through for content 😅 It made for good viewing despite your plans not working out but that's what adventures are all about.
I love these sunday videos. Thank you freddy and glad the Bonneville is back !
Thanks very much🙌🏻
Loved the famous five when I was younger.
I honestly didn't know the UK had so many charming and beautiful spots and stunning roads and landscapes until I started watching your channel.
First time the UK has been "on my map".
I feel like exploring the different areas on bike!
The unplanned, last-minute nature of this trip makes it even better to watch.

Wow! I live in Taiwan and I could fly to Thailand and stay a week in a pretty nice place for what you spent on your overnight trip...Nice video...
It's great to see you using your Bonneville to get wherever you want to go.
I couldn't help but smile and think about Joe and Emily when I saw all that muck all over your bike, but that's what travelling is about, and getting the most out of the journey.

Trash bags, Mr Fred, large bin liners, whatever ya call 'em. Don't leave home without 'em....
Great video! Even though things went not as you had planned or hoped, it is so nice to hear you say you enjoyed. Because mostly, we all do, even though things go wrong. Be well.

Enid blyton was my favourite author back then from the school days. Famous five was a thing back then ❤
You inspire us to get out there and explore, so no apologies necessary. Thanks.

You’ll have to wash the bike now 😊. Great video - I’ll have to go out for a ride now!
Freddie, why don't you get a decent front mudguard for the Bonneville, it'll keep so much muck off the engine. Good video 👍
Yes I've seen someone on RUclips suggesting fitting a full length Royal Enfield front mudguard, probably off a Bullet or a lovely 350 !! Worth looking into Freddie! 😊
And a proper, functioning mudguard would fit the styling of the Bonneville better than that tiny thing, which has no effect at all.
I had a bobber for a while , now I fully appreciate the design of seat foam and mudguards.
Hmmm, I have started to think this. The original Bonneville mudguard is plastic, which I didn’t love. But… I’ll start looking for a metal alternative, because I do agree with you
Wow- ok this is of genuine interest (Classic 350 mudguard). I’m very intrigued by this! Thank you so much
Glad you didn’t get caught up in that wreck Freddie.
Joe and Monica are going to have a fit when they see how dirty you got the bike! 😲😲😲😁😜
Not to worry Freddie, intermittent fasting is good for you. The bonnie is a lot dirtier than when I saw you unveil it in Tamworth but that's what it's all about, doing the miles and exploring. Nice one young man!
Hope your next trip will be better weather and less costly 👍
Breakfast is the best thing about a mini adventure- still your intermittent fasting would burn some of that flab off, oh, wait a minute…
So enjoyable. Thanks Freddie and hope to meet you (and Monika) in person during this summer.
I've wanted to visit Clouds Hill for many years. Freddie I have a few days off next week and if the rain stops I will do it on my bike. Great to see some sunshine and your Bonneville in good health again
The farm looked a great place to stay , loved all the wildlife and when I win the lottery I’m going to buy a place in sandbanks
Sandbanks would be high on my list, too👌🏻👌🏻
Morning Freddie glad you've dried out ! The T E Lawrence episode was excellent.
Thanks Mike, really glad you enjoyed it!

You survived Freddy, that’s the most important lesson 😊
Hi Freddie enjoy your videos, I spent 17 years around the purbecks delivering parcels etc lovely place to work and I made many friends over those years so must get down there on one of my bikes sometime soon, so much to see 👍
Can't believe he didn't give you a couple of sausages....not the generous Dorset i remember. Great vid Freddie 😁
I'm from Iraq 🇮🇶 and i love your videos keep going ❤️

The area about a mile from Sandbanks, Branksome Park and Canford Cliffs is so much better and the houses stand in a lot more land.
Hope you keeping the Bonnie clean Freddie.
I am😃
The chickens were the best bit 🐓 we’ve got chickens at home and they have far more character than our cats and dogs.
Hi Freddie, another entertaining video and great to watch on a sunny Sunday morning!
However, I do think the farmer could have given you a couple of bits of toast and a coffee; that would have been the decent thing to do.
Glad you’re OK after your near miss riding home.
Well done Freddie. Stoic for sure!!!
Thanks Tim!
What a lovely place to stay you were lucky to find such a traditional spot
I live down in Dorset and ride the ferry now and again. It’s a pleasure to see you enjoy it as much as I do. 😊
It’s fantastic!😃

I thought the Drunken Sailor song was pretty crappy and didn't really match the visuals...

I loved this two part series. Great history and scenery! And I loved the drunken sailor music!
Watching your videos makes me want to fly to the UK, rent myself a Triumph and just get lost.

Magnificent countryside Freddie 😎
Dorset is a lovely part of the world Freddie. If you’re down that way again, there are plenty of tiny villages that haven’t changed in a very long time. Have a look at Cranborne Chase … Zig Zag Hill is always a challenge 😁
Glad it all worked out well in the end. 👍
Nice idea about the phone box. I would take pictures with my phone of the maps, just in case. 😎

"What would we do with an organised Freddie,
What would we do with an ordered Freddie,
What would we do with a structured Freddie,
Early in the morning...."

I will recommend you always have paracetamol, a bottle of water, and a meal bar or two in your bags 🙂
