    Succulent information Care tips for succulents
    1)SOIL- well draining ,porous,loose soil…non organic,a soil media that doesn’t retain moisture.
    2)POT - smaller the pot better ideally 3-4 inches pot depth is good enough for a medium size succulent.
    3)WATERING - only when the soil is bone dry however green coloured succulents like haworthia ,aloe mainTain slight Moisture but not soggy wet soil.
    4)LIGHT - brightly coloured succulents provide direct morning sunlight for 5-6 hours post acclimation .Green coloured succulents like haworthia,strings of pearls or any string varieties indirect bright light.
    5)Fertiliser - is not the top priority if you don’t use fertilisers it’s fine…but if you do go for liquid based fertiliser 1/2 the strength what’s mentioned on the bottle dilute in water ….and only feed the succulents that are in their growing period …never feed dormant succulents…never add too much fertiliser it will make the succulent weaker …during the growing period once a month or once in two month should be good ….wishing you all the luck

    This is the 1st time i’ve seen cats/bears paw and string of button bloom😍 that’s a statement on how good you are in terms of taking care of them. That was really great.

    Hi there from Sydney Australia!
    We are in winter also and my Echeveria rubin and varietals are starting to bloom so I was confused as they should be Winter Dormant. I think this year the weather is warmer, during the day 15-21c so it must be with in their happy temperature range. I learned that this is way more important than categorising summer and winter dormant succulents.

      Sounds great! looks like your Rubin is very happy ...its very rare for a Rubin to bloom ..definitely in very good hands :)...Yes this is something what i realised few years back ...according to the books they are supposed to be dormant in winter.no grwoth whatsoever ...i have a typical tropical climate so i realised the dormancy doesn't work the same for my succulents ..i have mild winter so my echeveria and graptos both bloom at the same time...i guess 20-21c is more like summer for them and they feel comfortable in that temp ...its very good to know how succulents react so different outside their natural habitat.

    I guess Christmas came early this time with global warming having some good effects on these beautiful succulents.
    These are like little 🎁 these plant buddies have to offer.
    Thank you for sharing Sir and I hope you have much more beautiful surprises like these just make sure you remove those bloom stocks in time 😁(what I learnt from your channel)

    • @LushGardener
      @LushGardener  7 месяцев назад

      yes I cut off most of the bloom stalk but this time I was try the seeds …not sure how will it work but wanna try m sure it won’t have in first attempt so will try couple of times 💖😂

      All the best with the seeds Sir.
      I would however like mentioning hydrogen peroxide 20:1 ratio for seed germination works great coz of the extra oxygen atom.

    minutes 4:00 - did that blooming crassula die? I learned that some crassula are monocarpic and bloom only once... that one looks like it might die after blooming. My crassula barklyii is also having a death bloom, but there are at least 6 pups, just not sure how to propagate them from the mother stem 🤔😬

    • @LushGardener
      @LushGardener  23 дня назад

      yes some crassula are monocarpic but not all...the one you mentioned is not monocarpic...its still doing well probably will share a video on it so what happens is the place where the bloom shoots up there were wont be any continuous grwoth but it will start to branch out like the new grwoth will start from the part below the bloom ..i guess it will be much better to understand in a visual presentation ...as far the one i remember which is monocarpic is crassula moonglow....rest continue to grow even after the blooming is done :)

    What happens to the succulent if u leave the flowers on? Do they stop grow new leaves and pups?

    • @marialakshmi2330
      @marialakshmi2330 23 дня назад

      Yes, slows leaf and root growth, but the main reason Frank always cut his blooms is to avoid aphids and meaylbugs which love munching on tender growth and thin flowers... ants often carry mealies to the blooms, ant farming as they say...
