    Succulent information Care tips for succulents
    1)SOIL- well draining ,porous,loose soil…non organic,a soil media that doesn’t retain moisture.
    2)POT - smaller the pot better ideally 3-4 inches pot depth is good enough for a medium size succulent.
    3)WATERING - only when the soil is bone dry however green coloured succulents like haworthia ,aloe mainTain slight Moisture but not soggy wet soil.
    4)LIGHT - brightly coloured succulents provide direct morning sunlight for 5-6 hours post acclimation .Green coloured succulents like haworthia,strings of pearls or any string varieties indirect bright light.
    5)Fertiliser - is not the top priority if you don’t use fertilisers it’s fine…but if you do go for liquid based fertiliser 1/2 the strength what’s mentioned on the bottle dilute in water ….and only feed the succulents that are in their growing period …never feed dormant succulents…never add too much fertiliser it will make the succulent weaker …during the growing period once a month or once in two month should be good ….wishing you all the luck

    trust me, once start fertilizing with Silica ferts, those sensitive tropical plants will be tougher to stress.

    I also observed one thing, newly potted succulents have less roots, watering the pot thoroughly makes the soil wetter than what's needed,
    Succulent gets what it needs but there's more moisture in the pot which isn't needed for succulent. It may work for bigger succulents because they have many roots and need that much water.
    So the water will have to wait till it evaporates. Risky.

    Though this is easier said than done,is there a possibility for you to do some rain water harvesting?
    if there is a water scarcity furthermore ;succulents love rain water,I remember the video you did about it which is great!
    Thank you for all your time and efforts 🙏 in making such valuable content for us Sir it's helped a ton.

    I find bottom watering too tedious, it becomes a chore instead of enjoying watering. I just use a water hose and splash some water on top and they're fine. I don't completely saturate the soil which prevents a lot of problems. I have some succulents in the ground that receive water from sprinklers every day and the ground never dries and they're bigger and healthier than all my potted succulents, lol. I also live in a desert so humidity is also really low.

      i completely agree its a very tedious ...but for me the water hose will create alot of issue due to the direct sun ...i can do that but then i have to blow of the water ...once the monsoon season starts thats an extra work i have lol ...i think being a gardener you get new advantages with new season but also comes with few disadvantages lol ..i kinda like winters its hassle free and not much work with succulents

    Instead we can water the newly planted succulents very less as per its need, rather than full watering in the entire pot

      @user-vy6pc4wp3g 3 месяца назад

      I think that may have been the reason some of my new succulents are not doing well.

    • @ombhanushali357
      @ombhanushali357 3 месяца назад

      Yes because the excess water stays in the pot which isn't absorbed positively by the succulent, if we have older succulents,then there roots are bigger to absorb more water as required, obviously absorption of water will reduce after competing its needs. .@@user-vy6pc4wp3g
