I absolutely loved this movie. The cinematography reminded me of the early Saw movies, the soundtrack was great , the traps were brutal af , the story was amazing and very emotional and the acting from everyone was great especially Tobin Bell. He brought his A game for Saw X and he carries the whole movie . I cried twice ( when he found out he was scammed and when he and Amanda had their heart to heart )
It was an amazing experience watching this in a movie theater. And i was super lucky cause I'm from Germany and Saw X releases here at the end of November ( because the voice actor for John Kramer retired already and it took longer to convince to come back .) I took my vacation during the release date and flew to the UK so i can watch it . I will still watch here in Germany as well when it releases cause i want to support this movie as much as possible.
Also i actually think Saw X explains Amanda setting up unwinnable traps in Saw 3 , after she saw Gabriella win the game and getting killed by Cecilia she probably thought f*ck everyone. I think that was the start of her doubting the games and her being thrown in the needle pit by Xavier was the final straw

That's amazing - agree completely with everything you say. That's true devotion to something you love, and glad it was worth the trip for you!
Also, that's really interesting about the German voice actor for John Kramer - never knew that at all, thanks for sharing.

@@MorbidMoonlight yeah we germans need to translate everything into our language 🤣 but they also will show the original version so you can choose .
I love this franchise. I actually have a life sized Billy Puppet. And when Tobin Bell was here for a horor convention i sadly had to work and couldn't get the day off but a friend of mine went and got me a personalized autograph

I was wondering when you'd had a review. I did feel that some of the traps were unfair. Like "do brain surgery on yourself in 3 minutes--AND in enough time that piece of brain needs to dissolve". I feel like if the victim cuts off their whatever, they did the necessary self-harm to escape, no need for an extra step that's also time-sensitive.

I think it was about the severity of what they had done, requiring an extra tough Test in order for them to redeem themselves, rather than John giving them unwinnable games, but yeah, they were definitely some of the most brutal traps we've seen.
But then, it was also a film where we were very much wanting to see those characters suffer for what they had done anyway - so only by giving them such horrific traps, do you ever even begin to feel for them as human beings.
I would have liked a conversation between Amanda and John, about how tough the traps were, or that they seemed to be unfair, though, because it does feel very close to John making his games 'Personal', just to make this group really suffer for what they had done to him.
