I only buy from La Passione and I buy my other jerseys from places whete I have been as remembrance. For example is I got one from Mt ventoux when I had the chance.
I readily admit several of the jerseys you rated I’ve never heard of, so my (race fit) list is pretty limited… 1. Rapha Pro Team Aero… 2. LaPassione PSN’s (although they recently renamed their lineup so I’m not sure if the fits changed). 3. Eliel Cycling (they recently segmented their race/aero fits so they’re a close no. 2, than a full 3)…. On deck: Pedal Mafia and MAAP… I haven’t gotten any of their kits yet, but I’m going to get something soon… I enjoy your Bib/Jersey reviews cause they introduce me to different brands to consider… 🍻
I 100% recommend the pedal mafia kit, I live close to their original store and they're the best, whether it be the budget collection or the PMCC collection.
Hard to do! Love La Passione, Eliel, Pacto (from 21stagescycling), Giordana. I've had the cheap ones from Amazon and there's a reason they're so cheap. Tried Pactimo in getting hooked into their designs and thinking their cool... They claim they're custom made and take 3 to 4 weeks to deliver. Soooo in researching a ton about drop shippers I came across the Chinese factory that makes their gear, yeah, Pactimo bibs for 50$ and jerseys for 30$. Not so custom made and certainly NOT worth the 300-350$ for a full kit. Materials and chamois pads only slightly above Amazon quality. Eliel is made in the US, Giordana and LA Passione are made in Italy and you can tell the quality in the materials and construction.
@@CharlesOuimet No problem! I hate when companies lie. Pactimo may be Colorado based but they just basically built a brand around cheap kits that anyone can get from Alibaba and have slight customizations made and just drop shipped directly to the customer. Funny thing is I still didn't realize this even though the tracking info actually says where it's coming from. Sorry but more people need to know this! Stick with Eliel, Giordana, Rapha and others that are more transparent and actually make their stuff in the US, Italy, etc.
Maap Echo Pro Base Jerseys are gold! In my opinion, I have tried a couple of brands, Rapha, Pedal Mafia, BBUC, and Maap and my favourite is the Maap fit! Definitely give them a try if you can. I’m convinced you’ll change your ranking.
Wool Believe it or not, wool is a great material for athletic wear, even in warm weather. The right wool (like soft Merino) and blend can greatly improve a garment’s sweat-wicking ability without detracting from comfort. Plus, wool is also good at controlling odors.
My favourite right now is probably the Garneau Lemmon 3 Jersey. It's breathable and I like the feel of it. The next one would probably be the Mavic Essential Jersey which I like the tightness and the longer sleeve. I'm hoping to get more jerseys, but I'm also looking for ones on sale. I don't think I ever bought a jersey full price yet.
I use 2 brands only, LeCol and Pacto. I'm from Portugal and use kits from their lines Carbon and Team Pro. Also, recommend trying their winter kit if you have the chance.
My 3 favorite brands thus far, is Assos, Specialized, and Giordana, followed by Oakley and Siroko. I do like Maap and Rapha a lot, but they're upper echelon prices.
Nothing beats a real wool jersey. Insulates cools warms….. and something that synthetics can never do… is form to your body. If the jersey feels tight in some areas… like a glove it will stretch and form to that area unless it is way too small. You do not machine wash and dry your wool or else it will shrink but that’s can be solved by soaking it in hair conditioner and stretched back to its size.. and hang or air dry. Everyone should try one.
A friend of mine bought the Siroko jersey and he agrees that it is decent quality for the price. I would give it a try if they wouldn't advertise it as 50% discount, although they never sold the product at full price. In terms of price performance ratio I can recommend Decathlon's Van Rysel brand. You can not get anything better at this pricepoint
My go to affordable is dhb (Wiggles in-house brand) very value for money. Mid-tier would be Isadore, such an underrated brand, they always make good stuff. For expensive clothing, I usually go with MAAP, I love their designs and the quality is great.
I have big known brands (Rapha, Santini etc) but I also like to find less known brands. Givelo, Gobik, Pissei make very well cut and very aero jerseys. Personally, I like discreet jerseys with no ads or big logos. Chic is discretion. I can also quote La Passione, Veloccio. Progressing in my cycling, my choice of clothes has also evolved. It is sometimes curious to read comments on sales sites: some give their measurements and tell you that they are tight but sometimes it is simply that they do not know how to wear clothes
"Minimal branding" on your #1 pick? You could see that logo on the sleeve from outer space! Great review and thanks for taking the time to go through all those details!
@@CharlesOuimet I wash mine inside out as well :-) I only tend to use the wash bags for the REALLY expensive stuff, or for when I put anything with velcro in.
I have always loved Cuore jerseys. As well as Santini. Our team jersey, shown on my profile picture, is made by Jakroo. One brand i love the look of but have never tried is the Pactimo jerseys. Those are my top 4.
Awesome video Charles! I’m about the same height and weight as you and have a similar preference in jersey style (race fit), so I found this super interesting. It can be difficult (and expensive!) to find the right jersey, and this video gives me a good idea about what to expect in terms of fit, quality and features from a range of different brands. I have a Pedal Mafia jersey and love it, so it’s reassuring to see someone with your level of experience backing that up. Keep up the great work!
Self-admittedly, I may have a bit of a problem with cycling Kit but mine go as follows in somewhat of an order… 1-5: Pedal Mafia (PMCC, artist, pro) MAAP (echo pro base, pro hex, training) Black Sheep Cycling (racing aero) Rapha (pro team) LaPassione (PSN) 6-9: Stolen Goat Santini Le Col (need to try other lines from them) Siroko (need to try SRX line) Always looking for new kit though - Pedla, Eliel, Pas Normal Studios, Once Upon a Ride, Gavia, Chaise Cycling, Pacto, Capo and of course other lines within brands I already own 😬 Thanks for the great content Charles 👍
Good video, you need to try the following jersey brands though. XIV, Stolen Goat, Le Col, Sportful, Chapeau, Castelli and La Passione. Yes we all love Rapha. I have about 1600 jerseys I think I am an addict lol
Last year I started buying inexpensive kits from Amazon. This year I started buying Rapha. I like the way it fits and it’s comfortable. Then I bought a kit from Pedal Mafia.. I thought Rapha was comfortable, Pedal Mafia is even more comfortable! So I’ve been buying more PM! My only problem is it takes a week to arrive here in New Jersey.
I ordered my first items( 2 bibs) from pedal mafia and am really pleased with the comfort and quality. When it comes to jerseys not to crazy about their styling. I prefer Rapha and Castelli but would like to try some other brands for comparison. I'm in NJ As well and yeah the shipping is a little slow from PM.
PMCC jersey looks mint. Immaculate fit and love the sleeve length. I may try it! Have to say the Sirocco jersey looks like a $80 jersey... nothing wrong with that but can see it doesn't really compare to the more expensive ones you showed. I'm confused you ranked some jerseys you wear often and really love, like the Katusha, but ranked them so low?
My ranking also considered the retail price! I feel that with the siroko 80$ jerseys, you get good value out of it. I prefer my Katusha Icon, but it was retailing a more than double the price!
I've had 3 of the brands you've mentioned (Rapha, Pactimo, and Siroko). For quality over price point I would have to go with Siroko. I purchased 4 jerseys from them on sale. You reviewed the SRX version which does not have a zipper pocket like their standard which is a slightly heavier weight.
I know they are not in style anymore but I prefer the 'team' style jerseys with the wild graphics and crazy colours. I think they are safer because they are more visible.
Any suggestions for kit for shorter riders? Have found some brands to be pretty hit or miss especially with long sleeve jerseys, find Endura Pro SL short sleeve jerseys fit fine but the FS-260 long sleeve was too long, same for Garneau (emailed them and they said they make all sizes small to XL to fit someone that's 5'10 best).
Charles - I recently discovered a brand out of the UK called Attacus. I have always purchased Rapha products so decided to try something new and I absolutely love their jersey’s. The bibs have yet to be back in stock but the jerseys are great. Not sure if you’ve heard of this brand or not but definitely worth a try in my opinion. Great video, thanks.
Too many on my end. I started out with Ale. Then La Passione. Followed by Arenberg and Attaquer who are based off Sydney, Australia. Then I was in Perth, Australia and I discovered Pedal Mafia. From the UK and because I have a Colnago, I got Le Col's Colnago jersey. My favorite will be the Arenberg.
Another interesting and useful video! My go to brand is Le Col I like the fit but also the quality of the material and the refinement of all small details and it has a zipper pocket! The bibs are also very comfortable. I have the pro kit which is a tighter more aero fit and the hors catégorie which is not as tight but the material is maybe a little more comfortable for long rides. If you have the chance to test Le Col I would love to have your opinion on it.
I subscribed. Nice video. You have any recommendations on bib shorts? I got an 80$ one and it causes some crazy chafing. And with a cheap bibless one i was fine...
Thanks man!! i'd definitely recommend you a Red White bibs, they have a very good 85$ one and a SUPER GOOD 135$ one. I have a detailed review of those on my channel
Another great review Charles ! If you ever come across the occasion to, get your hands on (or pass your arms through :P) a kit from belgian brand Bioracer, their higher end stuff is nothing short of fantastic for the price. On top of a couple jerseys, i also own a pair of their armwarmers that's design to shed water in the rain, works absolutely wonders while being crazy light, you almost forget you have them in your back pocket. Their aero kits have been tried and tested on the worldtour and they have also provided skinsuit as ghostbuilders for some teams under contract with other brands. Hey Charles, great videos. I've very recently bought a PMCC jersey, but yet to wear it out on the bike, but the quality and fit are right up there. I noticed the wash instructions are to wash in cold water, do you do this or wash with your other kit at 30c or so, how does it fair? Regarding my favourite jerseys, the PMCC may well become the one, but I also love Alé jerseys, and I highly recommend you try one of them, their top range PRR or R-EV1 Cooling jerseys are properly top quality, and for me they provide the very best fit. My other favourite jersey brands are Rapha and Castelli. *I'm going to have a look at the Pacto jerseys :-)

I´m searching for a nice Jersey, the Problem is that my chest has 107cm and my waist 83 cm, so XL on chest and M with the waist. Do you have a recommendation for people with a more muscular upper body?
as always i enjoy your channel and found this interesting. we have different definitions of inexpensive lol. I have tried "bicycle booth" (cheap, not good fit), Castelli (made for tiny tiny short people, but at least both of these refunded for me). Sugoi fit me. I got team bib/jersey from a couple of teams (ironically i have NEVER got a new jersey to fit, only used).... i want new though. but i am 178 cm and 98 kg. do you happen to have a heavy set friend who wears XXL sizes. That would be super useful. best wishes from Courtenay BC merci beaucoup
I bought the same PMCC Jersey a few weeks ago for AU$116 as it's last season and was on further sale. Bargain. Le Col are great and i like my Soomom, which is another Australian brand. Bought a MAAP but the sizing is smaller so I'm too fat for it

People got tired of all the “team kit inspired” designs, with logos and crazy graphics. That style was needed to stand out on TV, for non-pros it’s overkill. Also, the popular styles now closey resemble regular clothing, helping make the cyclist seem more like a normal regular person. Which helps with making the sport more appealing to a wider range of preferences.
@@CharlesOuimet Ya cause they are not big brands but their jerseys are crazy.... I've sent you more information in Instagram have a look :) And I am just 16 so I am not gonna be spending a lot on jerseys

how tall are you bro I’m trying to decide between medium and small for first cycling jersey im 5’8 and 140 pounds
I’m 5’6 150 pounds
Salut Charles!
Thanks man!! J'ai jamais essayé Le Col mais entendu que des bon commentaires! Faut trouver le brand qui fonctionne pour nous :)
Je serais à LA avant la fin de l'année, probablement en novembre. Tu m'écrira sur Insta ;)
cheers
I´m searching for a nice Jersey, the Problem is that my chest has 107cm and my waist 83 cm, so XL on chest and M with the waist. Do you have a recommendation for people with a more muscular upper body?
Ouff that's a tough one man. Maybe try to go custom?
Any suggestions for Aero jersey around 100 EUR ?
I use Castelli free Aero
I'd say the pacto maybe!
What sizes are these jerseys? And how tall are you?
Sizes in description, I'm 170cm
as always i enjoy your channel and found this interesting. we have different definitions of inexpensive lol.
That would be super useful.
best wishes from Courtenay BC
merci beaucoup
Thanks man!! Great to know !
I got to say I have several brands of jerseys and my favorite by a long shot is eliel
nice!!!
Was the Siroko jersey's shipping fast? Good video man! :)

Hell yes!! Glad you enjoyed
I bought the same PMCC Jersey a few weeks ago for AU$116 as it's last season and was on further sale. Bargain. Le Col are great and i like my Soomom, which is another Australian brand. Bought a MAAP but the sizing is smaller so I'm too fat for it
PMCC on sale is a good deal!!
damn. i need to slim down my tummy if i want to wear any of these cycling jerseys. :p
Pacto, Di garda e 5Quinas, 3 portuguese 🇵🇹 brands for quality cycling jersey. Another brand that i like a Lot is Gobik. Cheers from Porto City, Portugal. ✌🏼🇵🇹💪🏼🚲
thanks!! will check it out
You also have the COFIDES another excellent portuguese brand from Gaia, Porto. Have a great time here in Invícta City 👍🏼
Can you do review pas normal studio jerseys.
I'm not buying this overpriced brand xD
J'aime bien
have you tried pas normal studios?
I have not :(
I am big OSTROY fan :) their kits are so trendy and so so soft
Cool I'll check it out!
My castelli jersey is the nicest quality out of all. Above maap.

Yes it's awesome!!! Thanks man xD
6:54 what song is that
i dont remember ahah
How did drab colors and no graphics become popular?
People got tired of all the “team kit inspired” designs, with logos and crazy graphics. That style was needed to stand out on TV, for non-pros it’s overkill.
Also, the popular styles now closey resemble regular clothing, helping make the cyclist seem more like a normal regular person. Which helps with making the sport more appealing to a wider range of preferences.
Ahah good point!
Well said Ramon!
Best for me : EKOÏ and La Passione 😉
Cool!!
Hey Brother, this is Jimmy Shields. We met at Crazy Cat Cyclery. If you reach out I can hook you up with the Kogel Kolossos
Hey Jimmy! Yes put me in touch! My email is charles@refinedmoment.com or @charlesouimet on IG they can DM me
Check out Ostroy?
Will do!
Rapha make great jersey's shame about the stigma attached to them, but you shouldn't care what other people think.
agreed!
$230 and it falls apart after 20 washes? (20 rides??) Does not look special to me. Not a chance!
yeah
just got pmcc thx
Nice dude!! 💯
You need to try Q36.5! Best I've tried so far over pns, rapha, maap, asos, etc.
Nice!! I'll check it out thanks man
That number 10 is rare color
yes!
Have you heard of Black Sheep cycling?
Heard, never tried!
Pacto is great
yes!
Heini and Psychaluv
never heard of!
@@CharlesOuimet Ya cause they are not big brands but their jerseys are crazy.... I've sent you more information in Instagram have a look :) And I am just 16 so I am not gonna be spending a lot on jerseys
Commentaires sur Assos?
Jamais essayé!!
What I'm seeing here is consumerism at its worst.
I ride my bike 7 days a week, I need a lot of jerseys man 😅😅😅
Lol, have you tried Ornot?
If u have to much pls sent me some im broke like shit and have only 2 jersey
ahah I can't sorry!
Pedal Mafia makes the worst cycling kit out there. It’s basically a marketing company that makes things look good but in reality it’s all Chinese crap.
