      Will the (LOC) work if my aftermarket radio doesn’t have rca connections?

    • @412AutoCare

      Yessir. RCA connections are from the signal source to the amp only.

      Thanks for posting man, I’m installing mine in the morning and I didn’t even think to run the remote wire off the accessory fuse, that’s a damn good idea. Your video is very thorough and easy to grasp on what to do next. Best one I found for sub hookup on my Lucerne.

      @@michaelclark922 I am very happy to know it has helped you out. There are areas I could’ve done better but I tried to explain a much as possible. That accessory fuse for the remote wire ensures your amp turns off when the accessory power is off.

      Kwame Griggs you have to get one of the converters and tap into the rear deck speakers. Then from the converter there will be your RCA jacks that you plug into the amp and boom you got bass

    I got two kenwood 12s with a mb quart 1000 watt amp. Lights were dimming so installed capacitor. Charged it up and installed it. Bass doesn't hit as hard as before capacitor. Got both running go same ground you used. Thinking that might be the problem. Are there other good ground points.

    • @412AutoCare
      @412AutoCare  2 года назад

      Yes there are other grounds and you can create your own ground by removing the paint from an existing hole or a new drilled hole and you should be fine. Is the capacitor running directly off the battery or the fuse box power wire?

    • @alvarohinojosa8195
      @alvarohinojosa8195 2 года назад +1

      It's running off the fuse box.power like your video. To an inline fuse.

    • @412AutoCare
      @412AutoCare  2 года назад +1

      Ok so for the battery capacitor I’d run straight to the alternator or to the battery. It’s fine to power the amp from the fuse box but with the extra demand you have to pull the power from one of the sources.
      These GM have the ability to run a dual or triple alternator set up also.

    • @alvarohinojosa8195
      @alvarohinojosa8195 2 года назад +1

      I ran it straight to battery. Definitely improved. Did have to retune amp. Input frequency was running higher than before. I'm thinking it's the capacitor? But thanks man. Definitely guided me in right direction.

As far as the line output converter goes I just ran the power and ground wire to the amp power and ground. The video could’ve been a lil more neat but DIY tutorial ain’t about make it look nice. • @412AutoCare
      @412AutoCare  4 года назад +1

      @Noe Martinez It actually is safe. It’s, in my opinion, better than directly to the battery. As long as your fuse on your power wire is good you shouldn’t have anything to worry about. You can also run the power wire to the alternator.

      Steering wheel buttons will not work unless you get the module and program it. If it is a big name brand it may program easily if not they can be finicky.
