2009 Buick Lucerne 6x9 rear deck speaker replacement (no backseat removal)

The low-down quickie video demonstrating, the back seat does NOT have to be removed in any way. Scrunch down the backseat headrests revealing a round black tab. Carefully pry up and out so they can be re-used. (When re-installing, they snap back onto the quarter panel for easy installation.) Remove decorative tab on left/right upper quarter panel decking to reveal phillips head screw. Remove screw and carefully pull entire quarter-panel piece towards you while holding the rubber surround around the door opening, out of your way. Then, lift the back decking up over the backseat headrests and carefully lay it down vertically hanging down the backseat. If you have any questions, feel free to call me, 901-763-3733.

Thanks for the effort. Nomenclature is inconstant. The "quarter panels" you talk about are actually "C" pillar sail panels. The rear decking you mention is actually the rear package tray, it contains the speaker grills and third brake light assy. No mention during video of the #2 phillips head screw needing removal after prying loose the plastic cover; but you did mention it in the description below.

Thanks Richard, with your video I was able to replace the rear speakers on my 2010 Lucerne in just over an hour without removing the seat. Probably would have broken a lot of things on my own.
