CONGRATULATIONS David K!! You were randomly selected as the Berkley Power Worm giveaway winner! You answered the trivia question correctly! All you need to do to claim your prize is simply email me with your shipping information using the link in all of my videos. Thanks for watching & supporting the channel and I hope you enjoy your package!
I appreciate your video as I am trying the Power Worms for the 1st time. This is the 1st video of yours that I have watched and you have a real "Bob Ross" vibe to your commentary.
Thanks for the pointers! Catches fish, awesome! 4 on the pink and two orange almost forgot to tell you. Thanks. You catch some beautiful trout. Pink is my favorite.
I like the net you use here, I have one like it as well. I got mine at Walmart, did you? What about whacky rigging vertically? Hooking just above center and exiting below center, the worm running in line with the hook instead of perpendicular to the hook?
I use a lot of Berkley products and they are very productive. HOWEVER, there is only ONE trout worm on the market that I use. It's the ORIGINAL (literally the first). They're hard to find. They're a soft, open pour. They are AMAZING! If you'd like to know the brand, just ask! And NO, this isn't a shameless plug. I'm not sponsored by them and they're not mine. I've just used them since I was a kid. They've been around for over 60 years.
Wish we had some rain here in the Hudson Valley, NY to test out them Berkley Power Worms, I guess I'll be heading up north to New Hampshire to try them out.....you add great commentary to your videos, real pleasure to watch. 4 pink and 2 orange Thank you
Great information and always a pleasure to watch your new videos. You landed 4 on the pink and 2 on the orange. Keep up the good work and hope to cross paths with you someday.
All rainbows 4 on the pink, 2 on the orange Power Worm. Oh yes one popped off at the beginning. So hooked 5 on the pink and landed 4 on the pink and hooked and landed two on the orange. Good vid and explanation of how to fish the power worm.
Nice video. Just a bit of suggestion. It is easier to release fish if the barb is pinched down. Then substitute a hemostat for the net. DO NOT NET OR HANDLE THE FISH; leaving the fish in the water bring them close and gently grab the barbless hook, the fish will twist and turn a little and away they go with less trauma. Those were all stocked trout but my technique has been used to release big steelhead and salmon without netting or beaching them. Keep up the great work!
Enjoyed the video I prefer the natural nightcrawler color the ones I buy coming a large can like a power bait can and they're full nightcrawler size I just pinch them in half and I've also used the natural ones in the packets and had good success off both
Another awesome video sir. I think you caught 4 on the pink and 2 on the orange ones. But sir thanks for all you do I appreciate it so much I have learned so much from you sir.
Ok I watched most of the video about berkley power worm and I would like to know how they compare to the PUPS when fishing them ? I am interested but not to sure on either one..... Again I am trying something new for once with plastic soft bait for the first time next year. Hence my questions. Mike
Talking about Berkley baits. Gulp is also infused, expanded in that solution. Gulp, is not an oil based plastic, it's water based. That's why the baits shrink & hard as a rock in the sun. Instead of melting, like oil based plastics.
I see a float on. Why is that? I’ve been Fishin Watuaga River and current moves fast. Have gotten bites from the Berkeley worm yellow. Also are you just slowly retrieving?
Thanks for your videos man love the content and just your positive let’s have fun attitude. Maybe be a dumb questions I’ve done a lot of spinner and spoon fishing, but do you have to constantly adjust your float per section of stream due to shallow or deep bottom?
Do you put a split shot next to the bobber? How do you get the bobber to cast out it’s really light I purchased pretty much your same set up I just can’t get my line to cast out far?
Where can one find size 8 & 10 circle hooks? I have been trying to find small circles and the smallest I found was a size 2 from Gamakatsu. Great video once again, keep on with the great work! Technically 5 on pink and 2 on orange. If you listen closely the first caught fish he mentions it’s number two the first one popped off. But if we are counting how many landed in a net, 4 pink, 2 orange.

Great video NRV, the answer to your trivia question is 4 rainbow 🌈 on the pink power worm and two rainbow 🌈 on the orange power worm by Berkley. Im not sure if you are counting the one you caught at the beginning and in got off before you got it in, if you are counting that one that will make your total 5 on the pink and two on the orange 🍊. Have a great day.
4 on the pink and 3 on the orange. A few years ago the pink ones were hard to find so i bought some white and dyed them with hot pink dye. Added some garlic also and never looked back. My tackle bag stinks to high heavens but my freezer stays full of trout too!
Ok you must have been there today. I remember a guy in a blue shirt saying hes already caught 11-12 and released them. I watch the vids would have said hi if I had recognized you. I was the little fella w/ gray hoodie with the single rainbow early this morning.
4 on pink. 2 on orange.

I had a bachelor degree on trout fishing, but now I have master degree because of this channel. Thank a bunch!!
Love to see you use the Trout Slayer kit , made by the same guys who make the trout magnet!
I appreciate your video as I am trying the Power Worms for the 1st time. This is the 1st video of yours that I have watched and you have a real "Bob Ross" vibe to your commentary.
Any chance you could explain how you know how high to place the bobber in the way you had it rigged in the beginning?
Thanks for the pointers! Catches fish, awesome! 4 on the pink and two orange almost forgot to tell you. Thanks. You catch some beautiful trout. Pink is my favorite.

Your vids have helped me level up my fishing! You are the man! Can you teach how to us those bubble bobbers?
Sure can! Not sure when but it is a great video idea. Thanks!
do colors make that big of a difference? what kind of pink is that
You caught 4 on pink and 2 on Orange. As for me Orange is my go to powerworm.

Yes. Float separation is key
outstanding video !
I was there today and saw those huge trout in that big hole!
How do you do it? I mean every time I try the same technique u r doing and nothing. Like nothing at all lol.
When you Carolina rig these for bottom fishing, do you just throw them out there on the rig and leave them? Or do you reel them in like a jig?
Typically you just leave it
@@NRVOutdoors even on a lake?
Do you put a split shot next to the bobber? How do you get the bobber to cast out it’s really light I purchased pretty much your same set up I just can’t get my line to cast out far?
I will add a split shot when I need some added casting distance. Be careful because it doesn't take much to sink the float
Is there a way to avoid gut hooking using floating power eggs?
You can drift them under a float
@@NRVOutdoors would you share a quick video of that one day please i am a new follower and you have great content
Do you always smash your barbs down to keep from hurting the trout ?
I do
@@NRVOutdoors
Thank you, do you use pliers to smash those barbs or something else ?
