Klein Plier Wrench D53010SEN | REVERSIBLE JAW | better then Knipex? Comparison

  • The Klein Plier Wrench D53010 is a 10" water pump style plier with a reversible lower jaw allowing for two parallel smooth jaws, or one smooth and one angled tooth-filled lower jaw. It is more the same than different compared to the Knipex Plier Wrench and Cobra. The Klein is heavier than the comparable sized Plier Wrench by NI-PEX 🤣
Thos is just a comparison between the 2 wrenchs no demonstrations really, take from it what youd like 👍🏻

As much as I love tools and trying the latest stuff, I find myself grabbing the pipe wrenches about 70% of the time lol always bites and it's the best for turning big valves that are stuck or too hot to touch. That was not always the case though until I found aluminum pipe wrenches, those things are light as feathers.

I have the Knipex pliers wrenches in a 7 and 10 inch what I love about the pliers wrenches in general is your not marking up whatever you’re using it on where with the regular pliers with the teeth you’re marking up what you’re using them on now obviously there’s a place for both but something more delicate I like using the pliers wrench instead.

I have a reversable crescent that has teeth on one side for pipe. They work as good or better than channel locks and they are light. That is the only problem I saw with your new wrench. My tool pouch is as light as possible and those look heavy. Still look like good tool to keep in the truck but let's face it, if it ain't in the pouch it doesn't get used much.

    • @KoolinwithKrauss

Cool concept but you’re screwed if you drop and lose that Jaw piece. Just carry both pliers. Knipex makes great stuff. Also…I don’t want to fiddle with flipping a jaw piece around. I’ll just grab my Kobras if I need them on my tool belt. Also…having both smooth jaw and kobras is nice for nuts and bolts. Might as well just have both.
