Plus, unlike Nintendo, Sega never released an add-on whose piracy problems were so bad that it scarred the company for years to come.

And now Sega even purchased Atlus, so they're doing more than fine. Also, Sonic fangaming was around 1996, when they were still developing consoles. And even if your first point is true, it's still one fangame compared with all the fangames Nintendo shut down. They even hired fans to develop their new classic Sonic game.
Gotta love those russian-made platformers that have music from the sample modules that come with Shiru's TFM Music Maker only with the wrong engine speed and in many cases missing PCM and PSG samples.

Last Battle was my gateway into Fist of the North Star. I played it a lot when I was a kid. Thanks to some of Jeff Lindblom's FotNS RUclips poops almost 10 years ago, I saw the similarities between the two and discovered and watched the anime shortly after.

Yeah the game is fully playable, it's essentially the same game as the Super Nintendo version, just with different (imo far better) music.
